What words speak to you supportively?

I tell myself, "You got this; you've been through worse and will manage this too." "It's okay to feel bad about it right now; let's do something that gives you comfort."

@soulsings

It's ok.  I'll do what I have to do and then be over it.

@soulsings

You can do this.

You've overcome so much.

You are strong.

Capable.

Other people's opinions are just that, their opinions 🩷🤗

“Everything is overwhelming you and that’s okay. Take a deep breath and use a moment to process what’s going on and what you’re feeling now. Focus on the things you can control and deal with them accordingly. Otherwise, let the uncontrollable factors take their course and when the time comes, you’ll find a way to overcome.”

@soulsings

No words. Just a thought pattern.

@Fradiga can you elaborate on what thought pattern?

@soulsings

It is a mindset rather than a string of words. Not all of our thoughts can be expressed in words still. It is unlimited even if it grows.

Let's take the concepts of humiliation or freedom, just as examples. These were emotions thousands of years ago that could not be expressed in words, but were certainly sensed by long-ago humanity. It is not because we now have a much wider vocabulary that it is complete. It will never be and that is why a ton of our thoughts are still not expressed well enough, even if we all had the minds of Noam Chomsky and languages evolve.

Making a distinction whether you are feeling JOY or HAPPINESS is difficult. I school my grandson so he knows that his anger or sorrow is due first by frustration (losing an online game). Mindsets and education is like a tree growing into branches, which themselves split ad infinitum. Some branches will carry more forks, and it is like a catalogue of knowledge. For example, a violinist can not only recognize the sound of a violin, but will be able to tell what type it is, the bow's quality and even who made the violin; then a lot of non-musicians only recognize that a sound comes from a violin but can't say anything else about it.

So it is down to life experience (an even cultural background) to be able to word certain thoughts and sensations. To answer your question, I do not need WORDS for support.

I hope it all makes sense 😀`
