Hi, Ami,

There are so many.  They can stop and think and take a few breaths before responding.  They can say that they need some time before responding because they are upset, then walk away.  I know there are more but I can't think of them right now.

Learning to take a breath before responding can be very helpful indeed!

Talking to the teacher whenever the student needs help with anything. This will help the child feel supported and not lost or left out.

Good point about improving communication between teacher and student!

There are certainly a lot of websites about this topic. The answers might well vary from region to region too. What might work for Westerners might not elsewhere. Far-Easterners socialize kids way earlier, for instance, and, for instance, they seem to learn about empathy way earlier

I think all schools should have coping skills for every problem taught bc it’d be most beneficial and effective with everyone having their own problem or set of problems. No matter what they are they’re all important and should be solved so I’d also include teaching problem solving skills in all schools too.

More emphasis should be put on mental health and well being and finding out what you are passionate about, rather than expecting all students to learn the one way, not everyone likes books 💜🥰

I agree with you Amanda but not sure how it could be put into practice in general to offer different ways of learning with the staff available at schools.

True , there would invariably need to be more teachers who offered a broader range of practical subjects 💜💕

I don't know about coping skills, but they definitely should be taught better conflict resolution skills. I feel like year after year, many teens these days are finding it harder to work through disagreements constructively. Running away and/or cutting the other person off completely seems to be the more popular 'solution'. This is just my personal observations, though.

I think there should be more information provided on accessing more social support networks. This in turn would help individuals foster a sense of connection and belonging. 🌹

I very much agree with you. Often students face problems and don't know to whom to reach out to.

They should teach love and compassion for yourself and others. This should teach kids that it is wrong to bully people.
