It may sound selfish, but I value Me more...
I am not always settling to please others or expecting others to return the favor. I do not go along to get along unless I chose to. letting the feeling of obligation fade away. I wonder what I would be like if I had put myself first earlier.

@amiablePeace77 Oh gosh there is so much I value now than I once did. Many times my mom would cook certain meals and sure I ate it and at times might of enjoyed but then too I had no other choice but eat it. I couldnt tell her no but now she is no longer here and boy do I miss her cooking. I try to make it myself but never comes out the way she did. I now value quality time with my children I enjoyed it when they were children but saw it also as a responsibility. Now theyre adults I value it more now. They go off doing their own thing. My daughter has her own child to tend to so many things I no longer have the opportunity to do with her as she is usually tied up. My son isnt near by where I can even ask him if we can meet up with each other. I value rest that b’fore it didnt matter. I value taking care of my health which Wanna really a major worry back then. I value now the earth seein’ the beauty thats in front of us every day when b’fore I could of cared less.

Sometimes we only become aware of what was so valuable in life when it's not there anymore or not easily available. I miss my granny's cooking too.
@amiablePeace77 For me I miss my moms cooking but also what I miss is both my mom and late husband for they were the very 2 people and only people in my life that loved me unconditionally faults and all without critisim or judgement but total acceptance of who I was as a person unlike myself who had to learn it and accept it.

Something I value more now than I used to before is my family's health and quality time with my sibling.

Time...now that I'm older I know how short time really is so I appreciate the time I spend with people more now.
