To me healing means recognizing, accepting and moving on from something no longer meant for me . Taking its power to affect me and feeling like how I was before it but only better .
What about you @BlueBirdPIllow ? 😊

For me, Healing is the process of Acknowledging our own self-doubts, criticisms and flaws in order to take the small steps towards grit necessary to be our best selves to ourselves.

@ Optimisticempath

This is really a tough question and can actually depend on where one is in the healing process...I am at a low so...for me it just means loving myself again genuinely and to feel no effect of what happened (right now just have this idea)

@energeticThinker3129 I totally understand it is a little tough to describe healing , and it does depend upon where one is and how they perceive it .

You're at low currently but you're trying and that is really amazing. Loving ourselves and feeling no affect is a great way to define healing, thankyou for sharing and I truly hope you continue in this healing journey of yours . Love and blessings ❤

Healing depends on whether it is a physical, emotional or mental issue. Often it is learning to live with a chronic illness. But one of the ways that helps me is to take it one day at a time and in baby steps towards the best health possible. And forgiving myself for the days that I dont move forward.

It does depend, I agree @barncat . Baby steps is awesome and so is forgiving yourself when you're taking a pause , it is completely okay , you can pause and move as you feel comfortable to . ❤

It might mean making a statement about the abuse I both recevied and witnessed to the police.

It also means that letting go of the shame and learning to love and be kind to myself.

It also means not needing to use my negative coping mechanisums as much.

And eventually it means moving on with my llife and finding something to do with purpose and meaning, hopefully in a way where I can help others.

@resourcefulPond1641 it appears to me as if you've written about healing here while keeping some incident in your mind , one from which you need to heal. Firstly, I am really sorry for whatever happened , just the idea of such is upsetting ☹ .you've described healing in a process - step by step manner for yourself , which is really commendable , I hope this way works for you .

1. Acknowledgement and acceptance

2. Being kind and gentle towards self

3. Forgiving yourself for whatever's happend , it was not your fault

4. Practicing more self love and self compassion

5. Setting goals in life to feel better and move on

6. Focusing and prioritizing yourself ALWAYS because you deserve it .

Hugs to you ❤

@Optimisticempath

Yes, you are totally right that I had something particular in mind when I wrote that. Thank you for your understanding and compassionate response! It meant a lot to me.

Also, thank you for articulating back to me so well the process I am trying to go through. It sometimes helps to clarify things in your mind when someone grasps what you are saying, and can put it all into a logical order.

You are amazing! <3

Just exactly what you said. But also going inwards and finding the beauty in yourself despite your flaws. It’s about forgiving yourself so you can forgive others and loving yourself so you can truly be open to loving others.
