...See more I can't say that I'm a big anime watcher. I saw a few, but only the less mainstream ones. Last night, I finished watching Haibane Renmei... I deliberately don't want to tell you much about it. But if you have issues with asking help, finding forgiveness.... then I recommend this one... It's ending isn't really a sad one, only if you think deeper into it.

I just rewatched My Neighbor Totoro because to me it's a soothing film of magic and of the "comfort" present in nature. It's a beautiful story and like all of Hayao Miyazaki’s films- it has layers of meaning and symbolism. Everytime, I watch it I find something new to explore...and I don't try hard to find something to look into, it just kinda happens. From the Cat Bus to the Soot Sprites, to the huge sacred trees and to a sleepy forest creature: Totoro of course, which is what caught my curiousity today. I first wanted to know what the word "totoro" was. I found this blog which I found very insightful and I loved reading all I could about the film.   "Mei asks if it is a “Totoro” — a mispronunciation of the Japanese word tororu for "troll” . I did not know this, for some reason I thought that was the charaters name. But magical forest troll makes sense now! ...See more Yugioh wasted all of its potential, KONAMI had to shut it down but what if VRAINS never existed and it was faithful to the Manga for the Studio? Arc V Season 2 is a good idea that captures Kazuki's inspiration for the series to homage different Shōnen and was a huge Dragon Ball fan to want his show to go from Card Games to Superpower Martial Arts with Karate, It would be nice to see new characters pay tribute from all Shōnen by being more similar to DB.

...See more Been a long-time animanga fan and it's only been in the last year that I've gotten into iyashikei genre anime healing Iyashikei is Japanese for "healing", a term originally used for anime and manga which created with the specific purpose of healing or soothing the audience. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iyashikei Anyway, kinda vibing with Studio Ghibli where there is conflict but it doesn't take up most of the story.  Rather it's there as something to remind the viewer that there is a struggle and it can be overcome.
