Veterans Day (in the US) and Remembrance Day (in other Commonwealth nations), is a powerful time to pause, reflect, and honor the immense sacrifice and service of veterans and military families worldwide.

This day is about more than just remembering; it's about acknowledging the full scope of their experience, including the courage and dedication shown during their service, and the often-challenging journey of healing and reintegration afterward.

Service members and veterans carry unique burdens, and it’s vital that as a community, we create space for understanding, empathy, and genuine support. We honor their service best by recognizing their continued strength and by actively fostering an environment where seeking help is seen as a sign of resilience, not weakness.

Whether you are a veteran, a family member, a service member, or a civilian supporter, your voice and reflections are important here.

Feel welcome to leave a kind word or message of support for veterans, caregivers, or loved ones in the comments.

To my grandfather, who worked in the navy for almost thirty years! May his soul, and all the others, find peace and love.

A ti, veterano, te decimos: no estás solo. Tu historia importa. Tu alma merece paz.
Salmo 34:18
Hoy honramos tu servicio. Y caminos contigo hasta la sanación....

English translation: To every veteran, to every soul marked by combat, I say: your service was not in vain.

Though the wounds are not always visible, the silence that sometimes weighs more than the noise of battles, their life continues to dwell, speaking of dedication, of loyalty, of a faith that withstood fear.

But we also recognize that the uniform does not protect from inner pain. Therefore, this day is not only for honoring, but for healing together, because true comfort does not come from medals or monuments, but from the truth that sets free: Jesus Christ came to heal broken hearts, to give rest to those who are trapped, to restore what the world has broken.

To you, veteran, we say: you are not alone. Your story matters. Your soul deserves peace. And there is a God who does not ask you to be strong, but rather allows you to hold on.

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”

Psalm 34:18
Today we honor your service. And I walk with you until healing....
