Let me introduce myself-
Hello, my name is Obs. I joined 7Cups in July 2017 as a listener. I got to know about this platform from my friend and I loved the idea of listening and supporting others. I think all emotions are valid. Everyone has own struggles and how it makes one feel, only the person who experiencing can understand it. But you are not alone. If you need some support and a compassionate ear to hear you. You can count us.

Hi, my name is Abby Harris.
I am a new member here and I hope to also find stable and supportive fellowship and friendships here.
I had found out some terrible news about my best friend here in Chicago who has recently been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. When I had tried to confide in another friend about it (who had lived in Chicago but had moved back to Austin), this other friend withheld needed emotional support from me by not taking time out to ven just text me that he was deeply sorry to hear about this sad news and later told me that I am at fault for not being patient with him as he tries to get his life together in Austin, so I am on the verge of losing him as a friend in addition to having my best friend diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. 
So, needledd to say, I have been feeling rather depressed about all this, and I also struggle with social anxiety.

I got busy with work, and now Im also helping to organize two Neetup groups here in Chicago. One is for social anxiety and the other is for survivors of narcissist abuse and those who have been in codependent relationships.

Hello, im Rylee. I am here because ive always thought about other people and my thoughts and actions around them im also a firm believer that effective communication and taking time to just talk and listen can really improve someones life or even save a life. My dream in life would be there to be no suicide, homocide, or any crime and for everyone to be happy and peaceful.
Um hi everyone my name is Nash and I joined this site because i need some third party advice/opinions on some issues Ive had with a friend. Im not really sure if I should start with a listener or maybe post my story to a forum? I really have no idea how this works lol. Is this forum just for introductions?

Hi, Im new here as well but one of the reasons why Im here is because of some issues Ive been having with a friend who seems to not want to be a friend anymore after I had attempted to reach out to him for support after finding out my best friend here has been diagnosed with cancer.
This particular discussion board is mainly for introductions but there are a lot of other boards available (e.g. anxiety, depression, relationship advice) and I have made quite a lot of use of them already!

Anxiety and depression sound tough <3 I know it can be difficult at first to open up, especially to people you don't know, but I do want to assure you that there are lots of lovely, caring listeners on this site who'll be more than willing to hear you out and give you some help and support should you decide to connect with them one-on-one or post more in the forums.
