Hi everyone! 💗
I became a listener only very recently, and I am so happy to be here.
I joined 7 Cups because there were times in my life when I wished I had someone to talk to. I think everyone deserves a place where they can show up exactly as they are, say what they need to say, and know they won't be judged. That is the kind of listener I hope to be. If someone leaves a chat feeling even 1% lighter than when they arrived, I will consider that time well spent.
I also joined because I want to keep growing. I want to become a better listener, a better friend, and a better person in general. I really believe that if we want more kindness in the world, we have to be willing to create it ourselves. I also absolutely love the gamification here. Give me a badge, a progress bar, a new rank to work toward, and I'm unstoppable. It is honestly so motivating. I can't wait to complete every training, keep learning, collect every badge I can, and see where the journey takes me.

Hi! my name is Brandon I brought myself here because one of my favorite traits about me is being open. Whether it’s being open to new experiences or being open when talking and listening to people and luckily 7 Cups offers both of those things! I hope I can create a better understanding for myself why it is important to understand every perspective you can discover in life. Welcome! You can call me Panda. I've been a Listener for about 5 months (almost) and I have been enjoying my time here! The reason I joined as a listener was because many years ago, I downloaded this app as a resource for helping myself through my own struggles. I used it on a member account (however I think that account is lost now) until eventually the app somewhat broke down on my phone and I couldn't use it anymore. I was looking for something that might give me experience in my future job, and will help me understand people better (as it's something I'm very interested in doing)- and I remembered this app! I immediately looked for an option to be a listener, so that I could help guide others to the right path.. and here I am! I hope you all have a great time here.

What brought you to us?
I am working on improving myself. I am a 37 year old male and I have been trying to rebuild myself while working through anxiety, depression, and grief of loss from the year 2020. My world shattered, and I have been picking up each shard and trying to rebuild my heart and core. I was driven here because I seek guidance, information, help, and most importantly to be seen and understood.
What do you hope to find here?
To be seen, understood, and accepted as I am. To make connections and know that I am not alone. To be able to talk about what plagues me and my story with those who will listen. To improve and work on my feelings about myself and the world that I build around me.
I hope to find here, that I am not alone, and that I can help even if it is simply by just being me.
What are your goals for being part of the community?
My goals are to be able to learn and get the support that will help me feel connected. To be able to help once I feel as though I am able to provide back the guidance I have received.

I can't even begin to imagine the pain you've experienced, but I wanted to say this: I'm proud of you for trying to understand, make sense of things, and putting in the effort to mend your broken heart. ❤️ Please continue on picking up those broken pieces, because one day your heart will heal and be back restored. Keep on doing what you have to. I really hope you get the support you're in seek of here. And too, it's beautiful how even you would like to give back support and help others once you feel you're ready. Sometimes giving ourselves to others even when we are broken gives purpose and, in that, we find healing in some ways we didn't even know could be possible.
