The SEAL technique
For someone or something that has made you annoyed.
This was taught me by my workplace mentor. I share it in the hope that it might help someone else.
My mentor and I used to communicate by email. Often I would write to them after some situation had upset me. I'd describe the situation in a long rant, and then ask "what do I do?"
In response I'd get:

Yep, a picture of a baby seal.
My mentor's theory was that is is largely impossible to be annoyed when looking at a baby seal.
Do you agree?
I called it the "seal" treatment. Of course it wouldn't solve the problem, we'd talk through the situation as well. But, it would get me into a better head space for finding a way forward.
I dare 7 cup-ers to fill this thread with as many different pictures of cute baby seals as possible.

ahh cuteness love it
baby goats work as well lol
😂
@SunShineAlwaysGrateful
Oh, yes, indeed. You are totally correct. Goat kids are the cutest and its impossible not to smile when watching them play. The way they ping around like their legs are made of springs, just for the fun of it. I love it!

Mary's little lamb always makes me smile as well

Cuties 💕💕💕💕💕
@Clio9876
As cute as that seal is it does not even come close. My anger runs deep.
@Gettingbettertoday ohhh yes, that IS a deep thought.
I am wondering, do any of the cute pictures distract you for a moment?
Or do they not change your perspective at all?
@purplelady568
I recognize them as cute. I don't have an emotional response as result to it.
All my better qualities died years ago, drowned in alcohol.
@Gettingbettertoday well, I'm glad you can admit that you had problems with alcohol. However, I'm sure you still possess better qualities. I can think of one - honesty. What else can you think of?
@Gettingbettertoday
Can I add another positive quality? I see the emotional intelligence you have that allows you to recognise your deep seated anger. And the courage to acknowledge it on a forum. Your anger is valid. Most people I've met are more driven by anger than they want to admit (myself included) and I'm always impressed when I meet someone who has taken the step to recognise their anger.
Best wishes in reclaiming what alcohol took from you.
