@amiablePeace77 My alone time lately is filled with resentment over troubles I am having with the spouse. I get to thinking about his lack of effort in our lives and it pisses me off. I am alone most of the time too, yikes. I find cooking, baking and cleaning help to keep my brain on track and not allowing it to get angry with him.

Something I enjoy when being alone is that the house is quiet, no television on, maybe meditation music for a short while or even zumba to exercise but apart from that silence. I also enjoy that I can give my full attention to things I want to learn.
Are there things you feel passionate about, or you like to learn whilst you never had the time before? (DIY projects) Do you enjoy playing games like chess against a chess computer? Are there any creative things you like to do?

I stopped watching TV years ago and don't even listen to music anymore. All I do is work and clean on the weekends.

When life is only about work and cleaning it's hard to find joy, difficult to distinguish between a working day and weekend. Do you think you could start introducing some free time for yourself and do something you used to like? Sometimes I realize my hunger only if I start eating. 😉

We were separated for years, been divorced for a year now. When I asked for a divorce, her response was "I'm happy, that's all that matters." Felt like I was punched in the stomach.
@courageouspanda2006 Hello! I resonated with your response. I do enjoy being alone tho. Mostly in the woods or water. I don't really like TV either, and I rarely listen to music. It is like I feel over stimulated by any of that. I just need quiet. I got divorced after 18 years together, one response of his was "I always left you alone to do what ever you want, I don't know why you aren't happy." *roll eyes I didn't get married to be left alone. He was an alcoholic. I say was because last year he died from suicide. We had been apart for over 6 years. I have been empty nest for 8 years now. It does get better.. Some days I am very happy with my life.. and somedays... like today. I keep tearing up. It has all just been a lot. I wish you healing and happiness.
There's peace and quiet when I'm alone. I don't have to worry about entertaining someone, or whatever you want to call it. I can do what I want to do.

Thats bc with people it depends who it is when it comes to who I enjoy being with. But I don’t have to even think or ask about that to myself bc when it comes to me asking myself for help, support, spending time together, and things like that I’ll never say no to myself when it comes to those things

I Iike to be alone it is quite and peaceful. I have walked many roads and I like the path that is alone. It makes me happy and content.

I do whatever I want when I am alone - sleep, tv, videos, cry, talk to myself (therapeutic), sit outside on my balcony, go for a drive, go for a walk, go for a hike, go backpacking.........but the best one.....fart! LOL

I really enjoy trying new things alone because I get to form my own opinion completely. It's really nice to be able to try a new restaurant or watch a new movie and decide exactly how I feel about it. It really helps investigate the self.
