Academy Trainee/Intern Badges Assignment Change

Hi everyone! The academy team has been hard at work at improving trainee/intern experience. In an attempt to further improve trainee experience we are making the following changes:

All trainees/Interns will receive the program-specific trainee badge and academy trainee badge on their start date given that they have responded to the acceptance email as required (more info on that here). In the past we badged trainees when they submitted the end of the trial form. Trainees are still required to submit the form and if they do not submit badge requests they will be dropped from the program and badges will be removed.

The purpose of this update is to give trainees access to the academy hub room where orientation chats will start from the coming week (more info on that will come soon). Additionally, we are planning on adding more sessions that trainees, graduates, and academy mentors can attend and all that requires access to the academy hub room which is only possible if you have the trainee, grad, or academy mentor badge.

This update will apply to the batch that starts on Jan 31 and onwards. It does not apply to existing trainees.
