Community Liaision Account!
Hi All!
As many of your know, @Heather, @Iara, @Amelia and I all get many Private Messages every week! In order to better communicate with the community, we have set up a Community Liasion account that ALL users are welcome to message for extra help & to get questions answered.
You can find it here.
To start we will have @Dillion helping to respond to people who use this account. Dillion is an Ambassador who has a positive, supportive voice. He is knowledgeable about the community and will be able to help answer questions.
If this project is successful, we may add more people to help manage this account.
Please feel free to message this account if:
1) Questions about active listening skills
2) Questions about how to get more involved in the community & who to talk to to get involved
3) Questions about listener or member rejections.
Note: Please do not include specific information about why your account was rejected. Make sure to refer to the support FAQ first. I wanted to ask, what do the colors in general request symbolize? Or are they just random?
@Withloveenn - I'm pretty sure they are just random. Or if they aren't, then I have no idea, either!
There should be a history that I can view of past posts I've replied to and a way to look at older posts. Also, this app is really glitchy.
@AushaltenFrost - If you mean within the forum, there is definitely a plan to one day be able to better see past posts, etc., though that's a little ways down the line. In terms of app glitches, there is work being done continuously to improve the app, but if there are specific concerns, you can submit a support ticket.
@Anomalia How do I do that? This is important because I was posting to someone that I thought I really could've helped, but I lost the thread and couldn't find it again.
@AushaltenFrost I'm afraid of starting conversations now if there's a danger of me accidentally abandoning someone.

You are automatically subscribed to threads you respond to, so if someone replies to the thread you will get a notification. So in a sense, if you abandon the person it is because they have not responded to you. I hope that helps.
@MonBon That's how I lost the thread. There was a reply, but it glitched and disappeared when I tried to tap it. I feel terrible!

@MonBon Oh, hey, at least the website has my browser's back button. It was Monday night, I believe, and the person had a yellow circle, and we were talking about depression. I don't remember the name because I have issues with rembering names.

@Markm515 - Sorry to hear that it hasn't helped you! I would definitely encourage you to try out some other parts of the site - maybe experimenting with group support or the forums if 1-1 hasn't been great so far, or trying a new listener, even browsing for listeners that look like a good match for you. How do you upload pictures? And how do you View the posts you have been tagged in? I'm not very technologically advanced haha
@Havefaith68 - There's not currently a way to upload pictures on the site (other than profile pictures), but there are several places online where you can upload a picture and have it create a link for you to use. To get that on, you click the button next to the smiley face that looks like a rectangle with mountains and add the link there.
To see posts you have been tagged in, click on the notification (the drop down from the bell) and it will take you to the right thread. Then just search around for where you were tagged.

there is a button for adding images. Of course this would only be appropriate if the picture was part of an inspirational message of some kind that you wanted to add to the feed, not just any pictures.
@soulsings - Yes, you can post pictures that way. I thought the question was asking about uploading from your computer files, which cannot be done as of now. :)

Okay, the website and especially the app have serious problems. The glitches are unacceptable. These really need to be fixed, because the importance of the things that are going on here need a stable platform to stand on.
