Leadership Spotlight: M4GIC

This month we’re highlighting a wonderful Mentor Leader: M4GIC! They joined our listener community in 2020 and has served as an exemplary leader across the many roles they’ve brought value to. They are currently the CML for the Bipolar, Schizophrenia & Psychosis Support subcommunity!

Why did you nominate M4GIC?
They are so supportive in the rooms (Teen Community and Support Room). I love them in the rooms. You're an amazing listener in the rooms. You're kind, sweet, gentle, and very thoughtful. Keep it up, Magic!

What is your proudest 7 Cups achievement?
Either my reviews from my amazing members or my community mentor role which means a lot because I helped that sub-community since the summer of 2020. Now I am CML, so that is more meaningful.

If you had one piece of advice for our community (leaders/listeners/members/whoever), what would it be?

If you really want something, you have got to work for it./Be your true self at all times./If you're giving, put in 100% of the effort./Create your own environment and carry your happiness on a day-to-day basis.

Leaders, you all do such an amazing job here in 7 Cups, know that you're appreciated and you don't need to apply for more roles than you can handle to make yourself burnout.

To future 7 Cups leader: Please consider your own mental health as well on top of taking more responsibility, you won't be helping yourself much since you are only a human being and there's only so much we can do. If you need assistance with your role and/or listening journey, don't hesitate to ask. Mentors are only one click away, literally.
