Anxiety Check-in (●'◡'●)
Hello amazing people 😇
Let's have a check-in. How have you all been doing?
💚You can answer any of the following questions, or simply say hi. Any question on anxiety is welcome as well. Let's share our thoughts and support each other!
🌟1. How has your day or week been so far?
🌟2. How much is anxiety affecting your life these days?
🌟3. How are you currently taking your anxiety under control? and what benefits there is to take our anxiety under control?
Let's start with these simple questions, looking forward to hearing from you!
ice breaker: What's your favorite movie title? 🎥

1.My days been very up and down, mainly down with all the physical feelings of anxiety trying to control my life.
2.It is affecting my life by making me afraid to eat and go far from home.
3. I don't feel I am doing a very good job of taking my anxiety under control as it's still here! But I've been making myself go out and making myself eat as much as I can. But it feels like I'm going against every instinct!
Favourite movie Titanic.
@adaptableCoconut3908
Thanks for participating! And I know how much anxiety sucks! I'm sorry :(
Pushing our comfort zones is good! But be careful to find that balance. You got this! I'm proud of you for trying💚
ps: I like titanic as well.
Thanks.
I just feel like it's Groundhog Day and it will never improve.
Titanic is a good film!
Checking in 😊 con Air or Leon are my favourite films. My week has been 50/50 on the anxiety front.
@Drinty
Great movies! I hope anxiety hasn't been too hard on you to battle with. 💚
@daydreammemories
I was doing very well all day..up until about an hour ago...I'm at work and one of my instruments decided to do it's own thing lol...
@reservedTangerine9348
:o Oh, things not going according to plan.. I'm sorry about it. I'm here if you wanna talk, or just rant. You got this!💛
@daydreammemories
Yes today is a continuation of yesterday. Thanks for letting me vent. It really bugs me when things don't go as planned. I kind of wonder if the universe does stuff like this on purpose.

🌟1. How has your day or week been so far?
I was anxious this entire week and all of my worries dissipated now. My housing issue is now secure, I will be financially stable in the near future, and now the only thing to worry about is getting my real estate classes done on time... I have been dealing with chronic pain for many years, and recently dealing with other health issues, so I think that caused my anxiety to be much worse at the time.
🌟2. How much is anxiety affecting your life these days?
Well...It was really bad, but that's due to financial issues. Because of my medical issues, I had to quit working, and applied for cash assistance, disabilities, etc, and they denied me...I'm good for now though -- I'll have a roof over my head.
🌟3. How are you currently taking your anxiety under control? and what benefits there is to take our anxiety under control?
I used to take SSRI meds, but no longer take them because how they made me feel...I am now trying more "natural" methods. I'm trying to get some exercise in(it's a bit difficult based on my condition, but I'm going to keep trying! With caution though), I play guitar, doodle sometimes, and listen to music.
Furthermore, cleaning and organizing the house kind of helps distract me from anxious thoughts. Going out in nature is my favourite thing to do, but I haven't been really doing that in this particular city based on having stalkers...but I'll be moving 1,000+ kilometers away soo by the end of next month! Not in an ideal place (back in with a family member who was/still is toxic), but it's only for 3 months until I get back on my feet, and also it's fairly safe for my little one. I'll move out of that place and get my house and save money like crazy in case my health issues get bad again and I receive not government help for it...
Originally, was going to move in with my partner, who currently lives 2 hours away from me, but he currently lives with some toxic family members as well. We're both in a particular situation. So...I'm just going to go ahead and take control of my own life by finishing my real estate license, work for those 3 months at that particular family member's place while seeing a new doctor to help me better with my current medical issues, and move out of that state to somewhere completely new. I have lived in 3 different states in this specific country and visited 10 total. I might live in a different one this time. I have also travelled outside the country to my mother's home country, and visited 2 states there, but it's getting dangerous in her home country, so I haven't visited in a long time.
ice breaker: What's your favorite movie title? 🎥
Hmm...There's so many good ones uh...I'll say "The Perfect Blue", "Grave of the Fireflies", "Mr. Nobody", "Undercover Brother", "Chronicles", and..."Monty Python & the Holy Grail". Those are a few that come off the top of my head.
Hello! I had a very amazing and hectic week but I am happy. I also had a few bouts of anxiety which I could overcome. I have a few exercises that I perform mainly is distraction a few deep breaths, hum a song, think of a beautiful memory that makes me happy and it has really helped me.
the most important benefit was that I could perform my tasks in a more efficient manner and also the overthinking cycle that I used to get in has reduced
I hope everyone heals from their anxiety! And if you’re reading this you are not alone.
I can't sleep
@Juzouzzz
Aww, that's definitely a trouble! Have you tried anything to help you cope better?
I don't know what to do. I really don't even like to sleep now
1. My week has been bad
2. I can't sleep, I can't study and focus, even when I'm watching a movie. My mind feels foggy but it's racing at the same time. I can't relax, especially when my legs and feet keep tensing and twitching. I can't exactly remember what I did in a day, thinking feels hard
3. I'm trying to distract myself. I exhale and inhale slowly and deeply. To keep myself grounded i use the 333 rule
I don't have a favorite movie but I'd like to hear yours so I could eventually find one to myself
I've never been diagnosed neither i dont know if i really should go to a therapist. I'm not close to my family enough to share what I am experiencing and I don't think they would care anymore after everything happened.
ghibli movies are comforting
@navyKiwi1776
Hey. I hope you're doing okay or better at least❤️.
Feeling restlessness and distracted can be a common sign of anxiety. However to rule out other diagnosis, visiting a therapist can be an option. I can't tell you whether to tell your family or not, but wish you luck and courage if you ever wanted to do so.
Thank you for sharing with us. And well done buddy for keeping up this far. 🫂💚
Some of my favorite movies are grave of the fireflies and the fault in our stars.💫
@daydreammemories thank you 🫂
they look like very nice movies
More like all of last month with the exception of Mother’s Day and one weekend I enjoyed. I don’t know, it’s been rough. In June, I’m doing ok so far. I’m taking my anxiety under control by watching a comfort show and movies. Disney movies in particular. I’m an adult but a kid at heart and it helps, honestly.
@lindorcarameltruffles
You're doing amazing by understanding the situation and keeping track of your progress. I believe in you, and we're rooting for you! 💚
@daydreammemories This is really sweet. Thank you! 💛
