Dear Me,
I know you're somewhere inside me.
Quiet. Reserved. Sometimes almost invisible.
And yet—still alive.
I remember you when you were loud—
Full of hope, curiosity, and gentle confidence.
When you believed you could understand the world,
And that you were enough.
Today, you're not so loud anymore.
You’re covered by a fog of thoughts, worries, doubts, and inner battles.
But I haven't forgotten you.
Because you are me. And I am you.
I know you hide when anxiety screams,
When psychosis feels real,
And when depression drains the light from you.
But I ask you—please stay.
Even if you're quiet, you're real.
Even if you're tired, you're true.
Even if you're drowned out by other voices in me,
You’re the one who knows who I really am—
Without fear, without doubt, without the desperate need to be more.
Today, I'm writing to you because I want to invite you back.
Not as a savior.
Not as a fighter.
Just as a companion.
If you're ready, I will listen.
If you need time, I will wait.
If you don’t want to speak, I’ll still sit beside you and just breathe.
Because I don’t want to live without you anymore.
You are me. And I want myself back.

Reading my old short stories, it was clear I was full of wonder. Perhaps more creative than I am now.
As much as I'm enjoying consistency, I miss how random I used to be. And in a way, I miss the gentle depression I used to have, as it made me feel I could see the world for what it is. Alas, I think what the world needs right now is positivity.

I especially love the part, somewhere inside me, you are still alive, sometimes I am trying to awaken an older, happier version of myself, not able to find the old me, I resonate with you, it's like you are looking in at your own life e, begging yourself to look for one second d and to recognise you and let you back in 💜
