Hi everyone! I hope you are well. The family has many meanings, and we have discussed a few of them in these past weeks. No matter who you consider family, the reality is there is someone we are usually the closest to.

My favourite uncle in migrated to a different country and worked hard to get there.
He has been an inspiration to me for nearly all my life.
He's a web developer who runs his own business with his loving wife.
He's travelled the world many times.
He's very kind, knowledgeable, and wise, though a man of few words.
I think he's an overall amazing person!
The funny thing is... He's the coolest of the family, but genetically, not related by blood. He was adopted but my great-uncle. Per generation, there is at least one family member who adopts, I thought I was be next [ex. Maybe adopting a kid through a single parent] but instead I ended up with a biological kid.
Speaking of which...
The only other person in my family I'm close to is my toddler son, but that is my nuclear family, not intermediate or extended. I assumed it's talking about non-nuclear family.
My son is my one and only, and I'm also a single parent so our bond is closer for sure...

I only learnt what a family really was supposed to be when I was welcomed into my ex partners. Wouldn't even know where to begin with my lot.

Who are you the closest to in your family?... I suppose I would have to say my "Husband" since I tell him Everything no matter what. (But, it also depends on how I'm feeling... as I'm very close with my Mom and Son as well).

Family is a word with an extensive depth. It is about relations, bond, emotions, culture, etc. One person in my family that I am closest to has to be my sibling. No matter what, I always have her by my side, in ups and downs. ❤️
