I Wish I Were Cool
Doing awesome things, going to events, riding cool modes of transportation, you know, the things cool people do.
I’m a homebody. I read and draw. I’m entranced buy the Little House on the Prairie lifestyle, psychology, reading, learning, and other things that the cool crowd would be bored with. I don’t understand slang. I’m older than most of my friends. I don’t go to clubs or concerts or anything. I don’t even know how to really ride a bike.

Yeah, but when your coworkers ask you if you’d ever go to a club and you say no… they prolly think you’re not that cool.
@jesusredeemedme2425 Awww, I can understand why you think they would think that way. The clubbing lifestyle can be extremely risky. The way I see it is cool is being safe and responsible when drinking and partying. Cool is not engaging in risky or dangerous behaviors. Cool is not falling into the pressures of peer pressure. Cool is doing you and marching to the beat of your own drum. Stay cool! ♡☆

@jesusredeemedme2425 Awww, well I think you're cool from what you let us know about you. :) Of course, what you think of yourself matters most. ♡ I apologize not all people who go clubbing drink or engage in risky behavior. Some do go to just dance or listen to music and enjoy the company of others.
That’s never been my thing lol. I’ve done swing dancing but that’s it. I’m too shy and awkward to do anything else lol

There’s no problem in having people in your life that enjoy the same things you do.

Friend, i promise..."being cool" isnt all its cracked up to be. If you surround yourself with a bunch of people that think they are "cool" often times they are only acting to mask their real insecurities, and on top of that...through my lifes experience, most of the "cool" people ive encountered have been real jerks. Their narcissistic, self centered, and would make their own mother look like an idiot to help their image. In my own opinion, being "cool" is maintaining humbleness, its being caring and compassionate for those friends or family members that need help, its tossing a bag of mcdonald to a homeless person so they dont have to worry about eating something that day. Sure, motorcycles, jetskis, sports cars, and what not look cool and they add esthetics to a persons image no doubt. Maybe even make you feel better about yourself for awhile...but being cool is more about being the best, nicest, most humble and empathetic version of yourself you can be. Then when people are talking and your name comes up they say things like "yeah so and so, i like that guy. I was having a hard time with blank and he helped me out." Thats cool.
@jesusredeemedme2425 I'm a teen, but I too never learned to ride a bike correctly, and everything you've described seems interesting to me. I'm sure you'll find people who will enjoy your hobbies, and maybe teach you new ones, that you'll come to love. <3
