Body part you feel grateful for?

Of course , all body parts are making us work and helping us...

Is there any one favorite of yours? For some reason that makes you feel gratitude more deeply?

For me - I think its hands.... everything i do is enabled by them.. from using this device to working in the kitchen, from performing basic tasks to complex ones.... I owe so much of my thanks to them....

Tell me yours?

@Creamyyy I think my hands too 💖 even though I only have half of my fingers left, my hands still work magic when I create art 😁💖

also my brain because I know a lot of the time you wish you could just turn your brain off, but I like my quick wit I like my curiosity and creative'ness 💖

I agree about your quick wit. ❤️

Butts - lol - yeah they are fleshy to offer protection. Cute in a way. 🙂

I am grateful for my eyes.

I struggle with self image. For some reason, my eyes I think are amazing.

My long lashes. The different colors they change with emotion. The way I feel brighter with just a hint of mascara on a tough day. They allow me to focus on the things I enjoy-nature, animals, art. I have an “eye for detail” and that helps me excel at work and make things happen around the house.

I agree how eyes can add to one's self confidence. They say eyes are windows to the soul. I absolutely agree. I often look in peoples eyes to know what I feel about them.

Long lashes are beautiful 😍 ❤️

@Creamyyy

The body part I'm very grateful for would have to be my feet.

Weird ik but anyways.

They get me everywhere I need to go and I don't take enough time to *** think about that.

I think about how different my life is when I hurt my foot and I cannot imagine how different it would be for my whole life if I lost a foot.

Im glad you appreciate your feet. I find them cute and adorable too carrying us everywhere, not complaining of tiredness as easily as the leg and back muscles (at least for me!), and not getting recognised as often, because everyone is focused on the face and the rest. Selfless workers 🙂

@Creamyyy

Agreed. 100%.

People never give enough credit or attention to the things that are selflessly without complain doing things for them.

 When I first saw the thread title, I thought “oh gawd!” But I guess that's based on my imagination and projection of what I assume so many others are thinking about.

The thing about body parts is, if any one of them malfunctions, and if it recovers, it becomes the thing we are most grateful for, at least for a while.

I am old, so an assortment of my body parts give me trouble off and on, therefore my body parts compete for who gets to be my favorite, and who gets to be my least favorite.

In years past, my butt was admired by the opposite sex. Now it's essentially gone, so they have to look for something else to admire.

If I had to pick a single thing, it would be my heart. It has misbehaved from time to time, it has remained strong and faithful in spite of it. It feels like the center of my being, and energetically, the origin of love, empathy, and integrity. There are plenty of times when it's the only thing that motivates me.

@Creamyyy for me its my legs. I feel such gratitude for what ive accomplished in life with my legs. Running and rucking are especially significant to me.

Yes legs deserve so much appreciation. Movement and exercise are both depending on them 💛

My back muscles are weak and dont cooperate as well in posture and physical activity - but my legs make up for that loss. They are stronger. So im especially grateful for legs 🙂

@Creamyyy I'm very grateful for my legs. I just love moving around, walking, running ever since I was young.

@Creamyyy

There are so many options as all of them do different essential tasks. But in my current mood I'll pick arms/shoulders.

They do so much for me, shield me and give me leverage, make me feel safe in my own body, have the gentlness to hug others but the strength to push them away when needed, they gesture grandly to make a point, they take all my abuse (both intentional and not) and still pick my up every day, they are one of the only outer body members I don't have a single gripe with. My arms are strong they get used for all sorts of work but still my sisters and mother will walk holding my arms.

I love your analysis. How arms can be capable of giving both strength and gentleness.

My arms are okay. And save me somewhat from my back which is weak and giving me bad posture. I'm happy about my arms too 🙂
