It’s Random Acts of Kindness Week! Here at 7 Cups, our entire community operates on a gift economy—we give our time, ears, and care freely to one another. Everything you do to support each other is what gives our community its strength. Doing something nice for someone is a simple way to bring a little positivity into your day. and make our compassionate community unstoppable.
Your Prompt for the Week:
1. Do one simple act of kindness around our community. It doesn't need to take a lot of time or energy.
2. Reply to this thread. Tell us what you did, and let us know how it felt.
Need ideas? Here are some things you can do right now, easily!
- Give someone your time in one of our group support rooms.
- Make someone's day using the Group Chat Recognition form!
- Welcome a new user here!
- Members, tell your listeners you care and give them a Tulip Award!
- Tag someone who you've seen doing good here!
- Teens, nominate one another to be recognized here!

Kindness is indeed all around us on cups, and though some may perceive listeners giving their time and opening a safe space to share as an act of kindness, which I am sure is part of what makes cups special, I perceive the connection and the feelings shared by everyone around me as the true act of kindness. Putting all your trust in a strangers hands takes courage, and I am thankful to be a presence in all of your lives.
