Self Help Books?
Does anyone have a favorite self help book that really helped them get through something tough? Let's share those resources here!
Girl online ~ Zoe Sugg

Carry on, Warrior: The Power of Embracing Your Messy, Beautiful Life - Glennon Doyle Melton
The Disorganized Mind: Coaching Your ADHD Brain to Take Control of Your Time, Tasks, and Talents - Nancy A Ratey
Not really books but I love Brene Brown's talks. (she does HAVE books like Daring Greatly and Rising Strong...I just haven't gotten to read them yet)
@Elle22 I think Daring Greatly is the best of her books.
The book I was going to recommend is Kristin Neff's book "Self-Compassion". Also... on her web page she has a link to a brand-new online course in conjunction with Brené Brown; I don't know how good it is but it might be a nice complement to reading a book!
@Anomalia " A Guide to Rational Living" by my hero, Albert Ellis. It's one of the best self-help books out there and I highly recommend it!
I love a good self help book. I'm currently reading The Chimp Paradox, which is a helpful (and amusing) model to understand the limbic part of your brain (the part that makes you do stupid stuff).
@Anomalia,
Here are some links to similar threads that might be of use (from the Lit forum)!

What's the Most Uplifting/Inspiring Book You've Read?
Books I've found helpful during hard times.
One of my all-time favourite books is The Artist's Way written by Julia Cameron. It is definitely not just for artists, but for anyone who would like to do a bit of self-exploration. I absolutely loved it. She has written several other books as well, but TAW is a good one to start with.
I also liked The Highly Sensitive Person written by Elaine Aron. I still use things I learned from these 2 books almost everyday.
Resilience by Eric Greitens. One of those books that just speaks to you about living life everyday. Really worth reading.
Act with confidence by russ Harris have read it couple of times get so much out of it
I got from Barnes and Noble. Idiot's Guide :Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. It is orange with cogwheels in the front. It really has everything. The key though is to practice the tasks that are given to you. No need to rush through a book. It's hard to practice. But when you keep apply your daily life to it, it will be easier to do.
Life Loves You by Louise Hay
