This is like a small sneek peak into how it all started. I started talking to people online when I was 17-18 years old and was depressed myself. I started looking for people who felt similar emotions like me, to make sense of it all. Then I realised a lot of people were in a worse place than I was. I reached out to people out of nowhere through hashtags. Most of them had a profile that screamed of mental health issues. And I wanted to see them beyond it. Know what they liked, what they used to enjoy before it took over. The first time my words helped someone was when a girl I talked to every day ended up in the hospital due to overdose. She wanted to survive... because she thought of me as a sister and didn't want to give up. And she did. Today she's in University. That changed something in me and I realised how very alone we feel when we're struggling like this and sometimes we just want someone to look at us beyond our struggles. Beyond that sadness. The hidden faces. I was never scared of anyone's vulnerability afterwards. It didn't scare me because they were just like me. We are all humans. I'm not here all the time. I disappear sometimes. But, I want to tell you this that I always remember you and every single person I have ever talked to. Somewhere in my mind, you are my people. ❤️
And I care about you a lot. I always will. Thank you for showing so much kindness to me! 🫂
I felt alone a lot of times when I gave love to the others and not myself. These moments are the ones that remind me how that love always comes back. To myself and to the others, the ones those same people are kind to. ❤️🌸
This is a quote that I'd probably want to be written in a book, if there's ever a book about me haha
