Shiny New Mod Badges!
Woohooooooo! We have new badges especially for mods!
The following badges are for engagement in group support:
Mod Star - for fulfilling 50 group chats in 1 month as a Group Mod
Mod On - for fulfilling 100 group chats in 2 months as a Group Mod
Mod Major - for fulfilling 150 group chats in 3 months as a Group Mod
Mod Champion - for fulfilling 200 group chats in 4 months as a Group Mod
The month counts from any time. I.e. If you already fulfilled 49 group chats since 1 month ago today, 1 more chat today will get you the Mod Star badge!
Additionally, you can be nominated and nominate other mods for the following badges:
Mediator Mod - For handling a difficult situation in a support room
Mod Siren - For responding to the group support emergency form 20 times
Mod Squad - For providing back-up to another mod in a support room

Hey :3 I may be being stupid here, but how do we apply for these? I did check the "apply for special badges" area, but they aren't there. If they were added automatically, I'd have been given them (i think)

I don't believe you can see those badges because you're meant to nominate them to get it, so someone else would have to nominate you for you to get those badges.
@Joe2017 - The first badges for number of group chats are awarded automatically, so to get those just hang out in group support and send plenty of messages!
As for the others, If you go to the profile of the person you wish to nominate, scroll down to the bottom of their badges and click the orange "Nominate for a new badge" button, you will see the Mediator Mod, Mod Squad and Mod Siren badges there.

What does "Mod On" mean?
And will those with a high level of group chats already receive these automatically?
@SilentSerenityy - There isn't a way to back award these. We can't base them on your current # of group chats as it's calculated only on chats since someone earns the mod badge. HOWEVER, messages sent over previous months still count, as long as you have the mod badge now. So if you're already almost at the criteria for any of the badges, just sending a few more messages could earn you a badge immediately. You don't need to start from scratch to get the number of group chats required. Hope this makes sense!

As I have 2,820 Group support chats already. Would I be awarded a Mod Champion badge? And will this be automatically awarded to me, or do I have to sign up somewhere else for this?
@OneLifeToLive, not necessarily the group chats needed to be in a specific time frime. 50 chats in 1 month, 100 in 2months, 150 in 3 months or 200 in 4 months
@OneLifeToLive - Automatically, but remember it needs to be the right number of group chats within 1-4 months (not overall).
We have new group mod badges!!!
Love that we have these new badge choices and I hope that this helps motivate us as group mods! Also, love the nomination feature for badges! Nominating others feels good.

i received the Mod On, Mod Major, Mod Champion but not the Mod Star,
so I had 100 group chats in 2 months, 150 in 3 months and 200 in 4 months but never had 50 in 1 month

@vivelespatates - you are a statistical wonder! (or maybe there is a math error in our code, @heather)
@KrinkTheMellowUnicorn or maybe i did not have 50 chats in the last month, like 40 this month and 60+ past months, so i got 100 in 2 months but not 50 this month because the badge is new and looks in the last month only for the 50 chats

Now I got the Mod Squad badge ! Yay!
Now I have to work toward the Mod Star and Mediator Mod badges, the only two missing
I never got some of the mod badges :(
