2) What are some things you feel you could work on or give some focus to?
3) In what ways do you track or look at your progress between both your Physical Wellness & Mental Wellness? …And What are some of the positives that you see or find when you do track?
@PoliteOcean
Hi, Ocean 😄💗,
1) What things do you feel are going well for you today with your Health & Wellness journey? Well, I called the student loan company and asked a lot of questions I had that I was very nervous about. I felt relieved after. So, it was good that I did my best and did things that needed to be done no matter how much anxiety it caused me.
2) What are some things you feel you could work on or give some focus to? studying my hawaiian
3) In what ways do you track or look at your progress between both your Physical Wellness & Mental Wellness? …And What are some of the positives that you see or find when you do track? I keep it to every other day, and am adding small repetitions every other day. I had tried keeping track on a chart but that wasn't successful.
@purpleTree4652
Hey there Tree! <3
Great job to you on putting aside your feelings and that nasty "anxiety" and being able to complete your tasks by calling the student loan company. Its great for you that you were able to talk and ask the questions that you needed and get the responses that you set out for. And that the call made a difference for you.
Oh I do remember how you said at one point that you were trying/wanting to study Hawaiian... How has that been going for you so far?
I think its pretty amazing that you are doing every other day for yourself and find thats what is working for you. Its ok if the chart didn't work... Not everything will. Its finding what will serve you personally in a positive way.
Thank you for taking the time to share your journey with us, and for your responses. And continue to keep up the great work that you are doing. I personally see a positive 'change'!
@PoliteOcean
QUESTIONS:
1) What things do you feel are going well for you today with your Health & Wellness journey?
Improving finally but in withdrawal now so exhaustion still lingers … so my goals for movement must wait and my goal is to just increase steps doing housework etc … oddly movement a little helps exhaustion …
My food is doing excellent tracking and choosing well … salads root veggies lean proteins Greek yogurt fruit and salads are the norm …
2) What are some things you feel you could work on or give some focus to?
Housework bc my home needs it and adds movement …
3) In what ways do you track or look at your progress between both your Physical Wellness & Mental Wellness? …And What are some of the positives that you see or find when you do track?
I do listen to podcasts love Mel Robbins and journaling and coloring …
I have hit a wall with depression this week in withdrawal from prednisone and working on getting over this hump .. it has been busy fall and sick winter so far sooo ready for spring …
@SunShineAlwaysGrateful
Hey Sun,
Thats good that you are improving despite the lingering exhaustion. But that too in time will fade. But its great that you are doing what you can even if around the house, to improve and get in your movement and step goals while you continue to recover. And great job on continuing to choose healthier, track well, and continue on with positive habits during a time when it may not be the easiest thing to do.
I see you are "thinking Spring" already... Its not too far off now...... And Thank you for stopping by to share your wellness journey with us and sharing your responses.
@PoliteOcean
1) What things do you feel are going well for you today with your Health & Wellness journey? I feel that what is going good for my journey so far is that I am able to place boundaries and no longer cry over doing so. I used to get utterly sick for sticking up for myself because of past reasonings.
2) What are some things you feel you could work on or give some focus to? I feel that the best thing I can do to create a more positive mindset is to remember that those speaking about me behind my back are where they belong behind me, a woman I saw on a social site said this statement and it stuck with me, because it is true. Another thing I could work on is reminding myself that it's okay to feel anger and not consider it a negative thing.
3) In what ways do you track or look at your progress between both your Physical Wellness & Mental Wellness? …And What are some of the positives that you see or find when you do track? I have a self-care journal tracker, a mindfulness workbook and other books to assist in the wellness and mental health aspect. I find that since getting to where I am I have learned to no longer hold back how I truly feel and I feel that is an amazing trait to have because that means I rather be upfront then use unnecessary energy to play "fake" as some call it. Another thing that I feel is positive to track is the gratitude and kindness log I have, it shows me how truly empathetic and kind I really am
@InsightfulPhoenix
Hey there Phoenix, thats great that you are doing well with your personal goals and journey...While you are continuing to work towards creating a more positive mindset with things.
I think its also pretty amazing that you are tracking your progress in various ways (the Self-care Journal, mindfulness workbook, and other various ways). Those are many great ways to keep up with how we are doing in what we are trying to achieve for ourselves in our overall wellbeing. And that through doing so, you are continuing to learn more about yourself and what is working for you in a positive way. And tracking feelings of "Gratitude" and being able to have gratitude for things in life is the icing on the cake when it comes to Wellness. Keep up the great work.
And thank you for continuing to share your journey with us, and your responses.
@PoliteOcean
1) What things do you feel are going well for you today with your Health & Wellness journey?
I had my checkup appointment for my jaw, and I learned that I continue to improve with my current treatment plan and that I be finishing up with getting rid of my jaw problem as early as March with the finial surgical procedure, which I have yet to know the details of, so I’m a tad nervous, but I know I’m on my way to a full recover.
i also went out these past few days to clear away some snow, so I got in some fitness too. It’s very nice outside being a winter wonderland for me, even if it’s gotten colder than usual.
Been cooking and stocking up on my favorite breakfast foods, which I enjoy doing too.
2) What are some things you feel you could work on or give some focus to?
I still need to get down to the details and get organized with my health and wellness goals and other goals too. I just hasn’t found the time to work on it with all the other things I’ve been up to.
3) In what ways do you track or look at your progress between both your Physical Wellness & Mental Wellness? …And What are some of the positives that you see or find when you do track?
I do track my daily hydration goal and walking goal with mobile apps, which I do like seeing when I’ve met them. Unfortunately I’ve gone of the rails with them since Dec when I once again started living solo, and I’m still trying to adjust myself…
Thanks for asking and for the chance to take a moment to reflect with these questions! Hope everyone is doing well and keeping warm if you got snow/ice :)
@PandaK
Hey there Panda, Thats great that you were able to get an appointment in to treat your needs. And that you are continuing to see improvement with your treatment plan! Thats a very positive thing for sure. And even better that you are on your way to full recovery.
Great job at being able to get out (even if to clear snow) and get in some activity. I can personally attest that clearing snow can be great Fitness activity (as I grew up in the North).....Personally I do miss the snow sometimes. Its great that you are also finding enjoyment in your "winter wonderland"! Sounds like that can be called 'Mindfulness'!
Great job to you on doing your own cooking and stocking up on the things that you enjoy. By doing our own cooking, we know whats going into the foods that we eat....and I'm sure that all the remaining things that you'd like to focus on will come together as well (such as getting more organized with your health/wellness goals, and other goals too)... One day at a time... Keep up the great work.
In the meantime, I think its awesome that you are tracking your daily hydration and walking goals!! And using mobile apps that inspire you to keep going. Again, one day a time, and things will continue to come together. We just have to dust ourselves off and get back up and keep going whenever we get off track with things. So even if you've "gone off the rails" a bit, you can still get back on them!
And thank you so much for stopping by to share your journey with us, and for taking a moment to reflect on your goals and wellness. I appreciate you sharing your responses with us!
Stay warm yourself! And keep up the great work!
@PoliteOcean thanks <3 u right - I sometime not give myself enough credit, but yes, whatever lil progress I make each day does count :)
@nordurnStar
Hey there Star~
I didn't realize that you were working on your attempt for a first child?! I must've gotten my wires crossed somewhere along the way, as I thought you already had children, so my apologies...But I can see why you would feel that your journey is more complicated as that can be a process for sure. And regarding your fertility issues, I can certainly see why the situation can be upsetting at times. But I think its great that you are continuing to workout, keep a healthy diet, AND continuing to do all that you can to continue to live and lead a healthy lifestyle and maintain positive thoughts during this journey. Which is important! So Kuddos to you, and keep up the great work. Positive thoughts can be everything.
@PoliteOcean
Thank you for your advice, Ocean. It is appreciated.
And yes, I do not have any children (yet, hopefully!). I am 30, so starting a little late, but my husband and I both had a lot of education required in our careers, and we waited until we got our schooling.
@nordurnStar
You are so very welcome Star.
And that totally makes sense… Plenty of couples (or singles) would prefer to have their education done and out of the way and to be more financially secure & stable before starting a family. Starting a family is certainly a big deal! And There’s no wrong or right way to “plan” for that. 😊
You have to do what your heart and personal needs tell you to do. So you did what felt right at that time. Again best wishes ahead!
@PoliteOcean

2) What are some things you feel you could work on or give some focus to?
More healthy things to be productive with, expand support circle
3) In what ways do you track or look at your progress between both your Physical Wellness & Mental Wellness? …And What are some of the positives that you see or find when you do track?
I set daily reminders to check off. That helps me.
@amiableSalamander17
Well Hello there!
Wow it sounds like you are doing Very well for yourself with your Health & Wellness journey! And keeping up with all those important things we need. Looks like the year is off to a great start for you. Keep up the great work you are doing & putting in.
Expanding your support circle can certainly be an amazing addition to all the great things you that you are already doing and have in place. 👍🏼
I think it’s awesome that you set daily reminders for yourself. (I personally do this too)! … and can attest to how well this helps me to stay on track with things.
You are definitely doing a great job! And we appreciate you stopping by to share your health & wellness journey with us. Thank you for sharing your responses!
1) What things do you feel are going well for you today with your Health & Wellness journey?
Been avoiding vices, so happy about that. Uh...Going to the doctor and E.R. to get checked up, when in the past I would avoid the hospitals like the plague, so glad for that change uhm...Not really much else for the moment today.
2) What are some things you feel you could work on or give some focus to?
At the moment, trying to recover and focus on my health. I had job opportunities come up but...I have a couple of x-rays I need to do, and (hopefully) be able to do an MRI and/or CT scans as well. They would be nice...Tired of being in constant pain.
3) In what ways do you track or look at your progress between both your Physical Wellness & Mental Wellness? …And What are some of the positives that you see or find when you do track?
As far as my vices go, I've been using this app called "Habit Tracker". It's quite simple and minimalistic, plus they don't sell your data to third parties...The positive is seeing how much progress I've been making, it's nice to see.
I want to kind a mood tracking app as well that suits my needs. Right now for that, I just journal, talk to my boyfriend, or make posts on 7cups lol. However, a mood tracking app would be interesting to use or an other all fitness one. I've been cooking more and hardly ever eat out. Trying to gain weight and be healthy again.
@ImpudentIncognito
Hey there Cognito~
I think it’s great that you are keeping up with the things that enable good health & well-being! Cutting vices & Getting checked when needed are both positive ways to take care of yourself. Continue to keep up the great work (even when you want to avoid it). Btw…im a nurse and even I avoid hospitals & doctors! Lol .. so I totally get it.
I think it’s wonderful that you want to give more focus to recovery and your health to enable you to do the other things that you would like to do in life going forwards. Just remember that focus and you will get there.
I think it’s awesome that you keeping up with and tracking your habits. It’s a great way to see and keep tabs on our progress. Whether through apps, journaling, or some other way, it’s definitely a nice way to see positive changes! Great job there and continue to keep up the great work you are putting in for yourself! And thank you for sharing your responses with us on your Health & wellness journey.
@PoliteOcean I appreciate your kind words! 😊 My mind has been in a dark place lately...but I've been trying hard to push those thoughts back and rationalizing things, as well as trying to problem solve instead of sitting idle...I'm hoping this year will be a big year for me to change everything around to the life that I desire.
@PoliteOcean
1) What things do you feel are going well for you today with your Health & Wellness journey?
Things that are going well for me today is my practicing kindness to my work colleagues. It helps me to become less bitter at some of the things they say.
2) What are some things you feel you could work on or give some focus to?
I need to practice on more kindness to myself and give myself a break sometimes.
3) In what ways do you track or look at your progress between both your Physical Wellness & Mental Wellness? …And What are some of the positives that you see or find when you do track?
I track my physical, nutritional and sleep through my apple watch to apps on my phone and enjoy viewing how I have changed over time. I have noticed I have been getting better sleep recently which is good.
@orangeHuman868
Hey there Human~
That’s really great that you are practicing kindness towards others. And you are right, kindness towards others helps to continue to soften our hearts, thoughts & emotions. (And yes keeps us less bitter)! Great job to you there.
I think it’s wonderful that you want to focus on giving more kindness to yourself as well! As well as giving yourself a break. You definitely have to love yourself to continue to show love towards others. And you deserve it!
Thats awesome that you are tracking your health & wellness habits and keeping tabs on your positive changes! And that you enjoy doing so. I too enjoy keeping tabs on my sleep patterns. Not to mention sleep is one of the most important things we can do for ourselves to stay on track with our overall health goals. We always need to get good quality rest to ensure we continue to function properly in every other way... Keep up the great work that you are doing! And thank you for sharing your responses and your journey with us.
