🌷 This week was another week gone by fast~ ..... I started off the week continuing to keep up with my goals of Workouts/Activity/Water/Meal-Planning and Sleep. I want to continue working on getting to sleep a little earlier. But I've definitely made improvements there including on weekends......Also I will be celebrating my mom and my son's birthdays this week so found myself trying to get things ready for that with finishing up gift-buying & wrapping.

🍀 By Mid-week we decided to Head down to the Beach 🌴 to start the Month off! One of my favorite places to be~ The weather was amazing, warm, sunny, and "just right"~. It was just what I needed to "re-group" and get refreshed for this New Month ahead. And it took the "edge" off of my "Spring-Fever" feeling~ .... I will be working on amping up my goals a bit which I feel I've fallen mildly behind on. Mainly since I found myself having a challenge getting back on track after the holidays. So I'm going to try working on some new approaches. I wished we could've stayed a little longer at the Beach than we were able. But it was a great addition to the week. And even though I missed out on my group fitness classes during that time, I did take the opportunity to walk the Beach while there and just take in all the beauty around me. And walk around the local beach shops for added steps and activity.

🌺 This weekend will be spent celebrating my family for their Birthdays. And then working towards getting back on track with things for the week ahead.

Hi Ocean,

🌷 Hey Everyone~ How are you this week? I have felt nervous this week. It looks like I am moving because it is so much cheaper where I am moving to.

🍀 This is our FIRST Check-in for the Month of MARCH!....This year is flying by~ What things are you looking forwards to MOST this month ahead?! Not working for the month. Since I'm not moving until the end of next month, I've decided I'm not going to look for a job right now. I'll still have plenty to do in preparation of moving though.

🌺 What are some NEW goals that you would like to work on, create, achieve for yourself this month? What small steps can you take to work on those things & meet those goals? I want to lose weight. I can work on eating less late at night and eating more fruit.

🌷 JUST FOR FUN: What's your Favorite TV Show? I don't own a tv. I stream stuff on my laptop but don't have a fav show right now.

🍀What were your "Highlights Or Struggles" of the week?...... How were you able to work through your challenges?! My highlight was the apartment community accepting my application. My struggle is with my only 'friend' who told me not to move because she thinks it's a bad idea. I got very nervous because of that. I'm still working through the situation.

@purpleTree4652

Hey there Tree, despite feeling nervous this week, I think its great that you are getting the opportunity to move to a 'cheaper' place! Thats great for you. I'm sure once you are there and settled in, it won't be such a nervous time for you and those feelings will fade. But its understandable to feel a little on edge in the meantime until it all comes together for you. Good luck and keep us updated on the move!

Thats great for you that you are looking forwards to creating some new goals for yourself this month, and that you are looking ahead at the steps that you can take to get there and make those goals happen for yourself. Small steps add up towards bigger things. Good job and keep up the great work!

I think "streaming" has become quite popular for many various (and obvious) reasons. I know cable can be rather expensive. I don't think I really have a favorite show either. But I do have a few that I tend to stick with and like more than others. What "type" of shows do you like to watch? (Comedy, crime etc...)?

I'm sorry to hear that your struggle was feeling that your friend perhaps doesn't support your choice to move. That can be a challenge. Especially when we may already feel nervous about our own choices and decisions. So I can understand what you are saying there. Just take the time to weigh in and think over the "pros/cons" of the move. Maybe if you haven't done so, make a list, and write them down. And go with what your heart tells you. And nobody else! But the fact that you have already made your choice should tell you that you made the right one for you. Sometimes people say the things to us that they do because of their "own" feelings. Perhaps your friend just doesn't want you to move because she will miss you? Or maybe "she" herself wants to move but can't?.... There could be so many reasons she said what she said. But you have to do what is the right thing for you to do. Its great that you are working through that situation. And again, it will all come together for you!

Thank you for checking in this week and sharing with us. Please continue to let us know how things are coming together for you. We are here to support you.

Thank you so much, Ocean. You always make me feel comfortable and welcome and okay. :)

I tend to look for sci fi shows and movies. I also like really spooky things. But I love the Great British Baking Show., and documentaries, and some comedies.

What kinds of shows and movies to you like?

🌷 I'm doing good and this too shall pass so I'll try remain open and present to whatever comes.

🍀 I'm looking forward to the milder weather, a one-time rental relief supplement and a festival.

🌺 Nothing new in terms of goals; it's the same old same old keep trying to be a more loving and conscious person. I would like to take more time to examine my thoughts and beliefs though and build a set of values around that.

🌷 JUST FOR FUN: I haven't found a good TV show in decades. Growing up my favourites were Malcolm in the Middle, Will & Grace and I loved Fashion TV. I also really got into Dragonball Z.

🍀 One of my biggest struggles this week was dealing with my neighbor disturbing me for almost a year now every day. I have't been able to study, sleep, rest or enjoy my place. Attempts to speak to them and the building managers always resulted in me being steamrolled.

Another challenge was dealing with my multiple grief and loss. Grief comparison came into play and I couldn't even really see it. I have grief fog and with the challenges with my living situation I found myself snapping and exploding and coping in ways that included mindless, breathless and unconscious eating and fits of rage.

Another struggle has been connection. I don't really feel connected to anyone and this is weighing heavily on my current reality, body and mind. It drives me to isolate and feel terrible.

Also my unstable and even delusional expectations, inability to let things go and innate capacity to be a big, self sabotaging baby is not exactly super duper.

How I have been coping with challenges is, well, probably with more Nutella and cookies and other indulgences like sitting and sleeping and spending more time on my phone and avoiding chores and life than I'd like.

I have a gratitude journal and self care apps and self help worksheets and workbooks I try do daily and systems to utilize like RAIN (recognize, allow, investigate, nourish) with carE (clear communication, award achievements, recognition and reward, and Empathy.) - empathy capitalized as it's the foundation.

I also try follow The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz and do my Daily10 to cope, journal, write, listen to music, set realistic goals and study.

🌺 Being grateful for the basics can be quite easy - a roof overhead, food, shelter, water, air to breathe, clothes to wear, feminine hygiene products, painkillers, books, teachers, healers, artists, hot and cold running water, appliances and furniture, technology, transportation, nature, moment of joy with people, places and things. The tough part is being grateful during hard situations and making sure one stays grounded and present during these times and reaching out for guidance when need be.

@Dallady

Hey there Dalla~ I like that idea... (this too shall pass and remaining "open" to things). Good for you. Thats great that you are doing good. Keep up the great work!

I too am looking forwards to the milder weather. It will feel nice. Festivals are fun. I love that when the warmer weather kicks in that there seems to be a good festival around every corner. I never tend to buy much or do much when I go, but I like to look, and it gives one something different to do. A 'rental relief' is nice. I'm sure it will be very helpful for you!

That is really lovely that you are continuing to work on what many might struggle with?! (being loving and more conscious). Taking time for yourself, and to do work on these things, are truly great goals to have and continue working towards. Great job <3

I don't think I have a favorite show either... I tend to stick with the same few I like watching. I too tend to find that the "older" shows that I grew up on were my favorites! Its a good thing that they have re-runs and 'streaming' services now where one can find things like that. I too LOVED "Will & Grace"! Lol.. SOOO Funny~

I'm so sorry to hear that you are still having an ongoing issue with your neighbor. Nobody should have to live like that. Or management not stepping in to help the situation. Sometimes avoidance is all we can do in the meantime until a better situation presents itself. I do hope that one does for you soon! Grief and loss can come in so many forms of reaction. And until recently, I didn't really even realize that one could grieve over even the simplest of things. But There is no right or wrong way to "feel". And the feelings will surely come in "waves"..... The only thing we can do and choose for ourselves is to "not" stay there in that place.

I understand what you mean by not feeling "connected" to others. I actually had this conversation with someone yesterday. In the terms that the older I've become, the 'smaller' my circles have become. But I think it also means that I choose quality over quantity when it comes to others or allowing others into my life. I also found that the more I was able to get out, (for me I teach Fitness classes so I put myself in the situation where I have to be around many people at once)... but I found that the more I put myself out there or around others, that its easier (in a sense) to feel a "better" connection. It doesn't mean that we will acquire a best friendship etc... but just connecting with others through casual conversations etc...can help us to feel a sense of worth and more of a purpose. And it can be anywhere (local library, or local support groups, or a community center etc....)

(aahhh... 'self sabotaging baby'....and inability to let things go.... I get that and understand that. That resonates with me on a personal level).

I know that we can't always "cope" the way we'd wish or want to, but I think its awesome that you have a gratitude journal (i've done that one as well), and self-care apps are amazing. Self-help worksheets, workbooks, journal, music, write....etc,... you are doing a really AWESOME job at working on yourself. And self-improvment. And continuing to keep the positive attitude of knowing that the tough part "is" continuing to be grateful during tough situations is amazing work in itself. Please keep up the great work that you are doing. It sounds like you know exactly what to do to get yourself into the place you desire to be.

Thank you for sharing with us and checking in this week.... You truly are amazing. And we are here to support you. Please continue to keep us up to date on how you are doing.

🌷 Hey Everyone~ How are you this week? I'm fighting meh. I had a good day on the first, but I've been fighting meh for months now. I was rejected by the state ran therapy…because of the pandemic they are behind and said no new client for 120 days. I feel completely rejected as my quickly therapist pushed them on me, and will not respond to my email as I snapped in last session. (As a therapist, you should understand people are going to snap.)

My friend from highschool blocked me last week, because I'm not putting my depression, social anxiety and PTSD on the side to be her rock. I have no local friends….I only get out for errands and medical reasons. I have hard time dealing with people.

🍀 This is our FIRST Check-in for the Month of MARCH!....This year is flying by~ What things are you looking forwards to MOST this month ahead?! I'm not really looking forward to anything.

🌺 What are some NEW goals that you would like to work on, create, achieve for yourself this month? I'm trying to get out of funk.

What small steps can you take to work on those things & meet those goals? I am going to go through my insurance and see if any therapist have any openings for me.

🌷 JUST FOR FUN: What's your Favorite TV Show? Fantasy Island and true blood

🍀What were your "Highlights Or Struggles" of the week?......I'm trying to get therapy to help improve my social anxiety ….I want to try to get more local friends and maybe a job, but I have no how …

How were you able to work through your challenges?! My long distance boyfriend really helped, but I have no idea how to get to him. He is dealing with his sick mom, so he can't just drop everything and be with me.

🌺 What would "YOU" Like to talk about, add or share with us this week?! ....WE want to hear from YOU!~ please send positive vibes and prayers to let me find a therapist..(I don't want a psychiatrist as I do NOT meds, I've had very bad experience with those.)

@Rebekahwriter13

Rebekah!... Hey there! Long time no see, so great to see you this week!

So sorry to hear that you are still having a struggle with things. And that you were unable to get into the therapy that was suggested. Will they be able to take you in after the 120 days is over?

So sorry to hear that your old friendship blocked you. Its hard to be able to be there for others when we too are going through personal things. But you have to take care of yourself the best that you can. If your friend can't understand that, then perhaps they aren't the friend that you need to have right now. Maybe in time, they will come around again, and you both can work through it together and reconnect when things are different.

Sorry to hear that you don't have any goals for the new month ahead, and its certainly Ok to not have any. Perhaps the only goal you need this month is to continue taking care of yourself the way you need! And to work on as you stated (trying to get out of the funk you feel). And to find a good therapist through your insurance as you desire! Improving your social anxieties would certainly be a good start and something to work towards for yourself. And eventually a job as you'd like. So it sounds like you actually DO have MANY Great goals for yourself! And We are here for you. And to support you!

Continues positivity your way that you are able to find a therapist! And perhaps you could do 'Genosight" test (A therapist can order one) to help you find the "RIGHT" medication?! It would help to weed out the Medications that "Your" body would specifically respond to and be better with at taking?! Once you do get into therapy, maybe you could ask about the test?!

Again we are here for you, and so glad to see you check-in and share with us this week! Please continue to check back and let us know how things are continuing to go for you!

@PoliteOcean Here’s how the past week went. I’m reading my commentary on I Kings for my devotional life. I finished my book on Roman art history, and started a book on art history of the Northern Renaissance. For my sandwiches I used clover sprouts, which is a huge victory and a major achievement. Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday I went to the library and took notes on my poetical interpretation book. Wednesday and Thursday I went for a walk. Leslie kept dead flowers on the dining room table. She is also keeping the front door locked at all times to prevent Dennis from wandering outside. Dennis spends all day in his bedroom, which makes me happy. The house cleaner Nia is emotionally unstable and shouldn’t be around sick people. If I complain to Leslie she’s going to think I’m the one with the problem. I’ve been having a multitude of lousy dinners. I’m not getting enough vegetables. Somedays the sprouts I use on my sandwich is the only vegetable I get all day. I read poetry for a few minutes before going to bed at night. For this upcoming week, Wednesday I have an appointment with my dermatologist because I have red dots on my face. Wednesday is also International Women’s Day.

Hey Regmo~ Thats great that you finished your book and continuing to keep up with others. Congrats on continuing to with healthier eating for yourself and on being able to get your walks in. Hopefully for you your dinner situation will improve. I think I asked you this before , but who is buying your groceries or the food that you eat? Is it your money paying for them, or is Leslie doing the buying? I only ask because if its "your own" money, then perhaps you could get and incorporate the veggies that you need, even if they are raw (And Leslie doesn't cook them for you). It might be better than not getting them in at all. Hopefully the Dermatologist can help with the red dots that you see. Perhaps they might be something 'stress-related'. I forgot about International Womens Day.... seems like that comes up so quickly each year. Its almost blink and you miss it. Continue to keep up the work that you are doing for improvement. And thanks for sharing and checking in this week.

@PoliteOcean I pay Leslie food money each month. I buy my own lunch items, but I don't deduct that from the money I pay Leslie. I use food stamps to pay for my lunch supplies. When it comes to lunches, it's like I'm paying twice for the same thing.

Then it sounds like she certainly should be making the dinners that you enjoy or getting a list of items of the things that you like. (Again, I'm not sure how that works in the household)... but if any of your money is going to her, then you should certainly have a choice and a right to be eating in a healthier manner as you choose and desire. She should certainly be more aware of this. Its too bad a social worker couldn't step up in some way to help with all of this. As it sounds like Leslie is just doing "whatever" she feels~

Hi! Thanks for this post, always nice to check in I suppose. I am not doing too great overall but I am handling things far, far better than I may have in the past so I take that as a very good sign. I am under a lot of stress in multiple areas of my life and things have been really hard in one area in particular. I know this sounds really vague lol. I’m kind of tired of talking about it all. I’m just very burnt out. I have trouble remembering even fairly simple things like the questions you asked so I’m just doing a general check in like you said. I think you mentioned tv- I have started watching Buffy…. Late to the party I know. Anyway, things are looking up in some areas and taking a nose dive in others. Peace and love to all - I hope the coming week brings some joy and thanks again

Hey there, thank you for stopping by to share with us this week.

Sorry to hear that you aren't doing to great, and under stress, but its good that you are handling things, and that you are handling them better than in the past. Thats certainly a good thing!

Buffy is a really good show. I used to watch it. But its good that you are doing something to help take your mind off things. And that things are also starting to look up for you in some areas despite the other situations that may need some improvement. We hope things come together for you and just know that we are here to support you!

And we too hope that you find many joyful blessings and peace in the coming week ahead! Please continue to check back and let us know how you are doing and how things are going for you!
