That's it from my side . Thanks for reading. Bye.
@calmsoulmeet
Hey there Calm!... (Yes yet another Saturday & weekend down again)! This year is just all too quickly moving along in the "blink of an eye"!~
Sorry to hear for you that things took a turn for you this week with your Depression. I know that you were doing really well. But as you stated, it's "OK". We will have days like that. I had a few of them myself from week to week (in between all the "Good" ones)! It will happen, and we just have to focus and take care of ourselves. And do what you feel is best for you during the time you feel that way. I hope for you too that you will find next week to be a much better one for you! ❤️
Thats so awesome that you are making time for "Selfcare". Getting in activity (as I'm sure I tend to mention often), is certainly a great thing for us Body/Mind/Spirit. It helps with both Depression and Anxiety. And you are really doing a great job! Keep up the great work that you are doing for yourself!👍
Oh wow.... that sounds amazing that you are doing better with your new Psychiatrist. Good for you on making that change. (And for finding one that you "vibe" with! That is so important in finding the "right one". And can make all the difference in effective treatment.
I know that you feel you didn't have the greatest week in comparison with your previous two, but I must say, from where I'm sitting and reading, you are truly doing more Amazing that you think!.... and Remember, as the saying goes, 'We are stronger than we think" and "Stronger than we know"! Keep going. You've got this ❤️
Thank you for checking in this week and for always sharing with us! Its always so great to hear from you. Please continue to keep us updated on how you are continuing to do.
@PoliteOcean
Thanks Polite 😊

🌞 How has your week been?
It's been very up and down, I couldn't control my eating habits nor my emotions too much.
🌴 August is moving by so quickly!, And summer is fading fast~... How are you taking care of yourself this month? ...In what ways have you been able to focus on yourself a bit?
One thing I noticed throughout this month is that I matured a bit emotionally, I am able to express more when something is making me feel bad or uncomfortable, Or when I get sad or angry at something ( I don't always express but those some times count to me a lot) I am also drinking more water than I ever recalling drinking!
🌊 As we get ready to move into the "last quarter" of the year (with only 4 months left to go), what is something or an experience so far this year, that has made you feel really grateful?
Mainly my family and my partner, they have been with me supporting me all the way despite how hard I can get sometime to deal with haha
🏊 Just for Fun: What is something Fun, entertaining, or Relaxing, that you can plan for yourself this weekend ahead?
Reading, a lot. I love reading and finally I have the time to read
🍍What were your "Highlights Or Struggles" this week?... How were you able to work through your challenges?!
my highlight this week was that I started becoming more mindful on my diet and what I eat. And I'm deciding to change that. unfortunately I wasn't able to overcome my poor eating habit but getting conscious about it is a great way to start.
@PalmTree7773
Hello there Palm, Sounds like you had some challenges this week with your eating habits and emotions. And that can happen. No matter how good we try to be, we can't be perfect, nobody is. And you will get back on track! We are here to support you.
And on a positive note, I think its really great for you that you feel that you've matured emotionally for yourself. And that you are able to express things better. Its great when you are able to communicate your feelings and emotions in a positive way. And congrats to you on getting more water and hydration in for yourself! Great job! Keep up the great work that you are doing there with that. And congratulate yourself on that accomplishment. That even though you don't feel like you "ate" the best, but, you were able to counteract some of that with meeting your hydration needs!
Thats really awesome for you that you have family and a partner that are there to support you no matter what! Thats very important to have a good support system.
We hope that you had fun catching up on your reading! What are you looking forwards to reading? What do you like to read about the most?
I think its good that despite some of your challenges this week that you have pushed through them with some really great highlights... And that you are learning to become more mindful about creating some healthier habits for yourself in becoming more mindful of your eating habits. And that you are making and taking steps to improve upon that! Thats a great revelation there. Keep going and keep up the great work and again, we are here to support you however we can. Thank you for sharing with us this week, and please continue to keep us updated (and hold yourself accountable as well) by checking back to let us know how you are continuing to do with everything and your newfound goals for yourself!
@PoliteOcean
Thank you!
I'm looking forward to reading Kafka on the shore and The catcher in the Rye 😊
@PoliteOcean Here’s how the past week went. Sunday morning I tried to watch Life Church live streaming but I couldn’t get into it. Later in the afternoon I went for a walk through my neigborhood. Wednesday night I went to a political meeting. There was so much noise I didn’t even bother to sit down. I followed up with a phone call because I still want to volunteer, but haven’t heard back from them yet. Thursday night I tried going to a local church, and that was a bust. They started 20 minutes late, there was too much noise and I couldn’t handle the cultural differences. One of my chat room buddies suggested I go to a Catholic church, since that is more suitable for my medical condition. Technically, I’m still a Baptist. I would prefer just going to a mid-week Bible study, but I could only stay for an hour. There are so many people in our society with PTSD, churches should be able to address our special needs. Friday Tunde took me to run some errands and also for a walk by the beach. I studied art history a few times. I’m having a difficult time with the new platform. I’m on Coursera but I’m used to Udemy. Coursera has a lot of reading and a lot of short videos, while Udemy is a strictly video format. I’m not going to put it on my resume so I’m not putting myself under too much pressure. My doctor never got back to me about my testosterone prescription, which is disappointing. Maybe they’ll get back to me this week. I started a second bottle of OTC testosterone supplement. Saturday my room mate Alan put stinky lotion on. I was worried about having another panic attack, but fortunately the living room has a fan that I turned on to get that stinky smell out of there. For this upcoming week, I’m going to try to get a haircut and go to a Wednesday night Catholic service, depending on if Tunde wants to take me. I’m in severe pain all the time, but I stopped taking Tylenol because it’s too weak to be effective. I pop my jaw about 30 times a day because of so much anger over my toxic environment. Dennis still urinates in the front lawn about 1-3 times per day. I purchased a new prayer book for my devotional life so it should be here by Sept 1st.
@Regmo
Hey Regmo, thats too bad that Life Church didn't resonate with you... Perhaps trying to find something else might meet your needs better? Thats good that you were able to get in your walk and were able to follow up on your phone call for volunteering. Hopefully you will hear back on something with that soon. Sounds like maybe trying out the Catholic church angle might be helpful for you? You can only try and see how it goes. Check to see if they have a Bible study night that you can join in. Let them know your needs and that you can only stay so long. I'm sure an hour is definitely better than not going at all. Its good that you were able to get out and get your errands taken care of, get another walk in and keep up with your studies. Sounds pretty productive. If your doctor don't get back to you in a timely manner, perhaps giving them a call could speed up the process. And its good that you didn't end up in a panic attack over the lotion. I know it can bother me too when I'm around someone who's cologne or lotion is too strong for me. Can lead to headaches and nausea for me. Hopefully you will find your week to be beneficial in meeting your needs of getting your hair cut and getting to the church service that you want to go to. Have you tried anything different for your pain? Something for inflammation might be better, instead of what you've been taking. Its nice that you were able to order a New prayer book for yourself. I have gotten many of those too myself. I got so many but I'm not much for reading, so it can take me a long time to get through them. But they are really beneficial in supporting spiritual wellbeing. I like to read and "journal" what I find to be most helpful to my needs and situations. Let us know how you enjoy the book once you get it. Thanks for checking in this week and continuing to keep us up to date on things and how you are doing.
🌞 How has your week been?
It’s been alright. It’s had it’s up and downs, but it ended on a good note.
CPS keeps trying to get me in the same room as my abuser and “compromise” with said abuser who nearly killed me and that I had a recent nightmare about. Good news, CPS will be out of my life very soon and my son will be safe with me and not with ex’s negligent sister nor around alcoholic paternal grandpa. CPS has been failing both son and myself in terms of safety…
🌴 August is moving by so quickly!, And summer is fading fast~... How are you taking care of yourself this month? ...In what ways have you been able to focus on yourself a bit?
I quit caffeine recently and drank more water for about a week, and my skin cleared up quite a bit. I did mess up on drinking caffeine though, so tomorrow will be day 1 again of quitting. I also want to quit eating out and focus more on cooking. Eating out is (usually) unhealthy and also burns money quick.
🌊 As we get ready to move into the "last quarter" of the year (with only 4 months left to go), what is something or an experience so far this year, that has made you feel really grateful?
I’m grateful that my son is finally coming back home after CPS temporarily took him away from me after I called cops on ex/son’s father. I’m also grateful I met some good people along the way and have a support system.
🏊 Just for Fun: What is something Fun, entertaining, or Relaxing, that you can plan for yourself this weekend ahead?
For next weekend? Hmm…I want to fix up the car so I can go on a road trip soon with little one.
I also want to get a haircut, it’s been nearly 3-4 years since I’ve gotten a haircut and there’s a lot of split ends. I’m really skeptical about haircuts though, since it’s hard for me to find a stylist that knows how to cut curly hair…the way I like it.
Furthermore, I do need to get new clothes & shoes along with both an eye & a dental appointment.
🍍What were your "Highlights Or Struggles" this week?... How were you able to work through your challenges?!
Struggle was when the daycare lady told me a two day notice of having an appointment when I just started a new job. I had to call out that day…doesn’t look good for being new. Another struggle was trying to figure out the scheduling for my son’s appointment without being late or missing work…which turnt into a highlight as my gentleman friend helped me and took son to appointment. The little one didn’t fuss at all and seems to take a liking to this friend[whom I’m currently seeing, sorta. I have mixed feelings.]
Another struggle was being extremely sick to the point of being bedridden, but having to “heal quickly” and start a new job that I need. Also took care of son during that time, since his father didn’t want to help me out after I rejected his advances, again.
🌴What would "YOU" Like to talk about, add or share with us this week?! ....WE want to hear from YOU!
Lately, I’ve been overwhelmed since I’m drowning in debt….I have an eviction bill, car loan bill in collections[for a car that’s been repossessed], late electric bill in collections, late internet bill in collections, NEW phone bill that doesn’t belong because I NEVER bought anything from the company and asked for a quote—-in collections, a gaming laptop loan, and lastly a late gym membership bill sent to collections because I forgot about ever signing up for a gym after awhile due to life…
When I was unemployed for just one month and dealing with issues revolving around abusive ex, I fell behind on my bills and never had help from him when he lived with me, in the last year of the relationship we were together.
I’m going to strike out the most important first to least and get rid of the eviction. I need to get my own housing ASAP. I’m tired of living with relatives and miss having my own spot. I reckon it may take me about a month’s worth of salary to pay off the eviction. Then I have to tackle the electric bill right after and the rest will come in time….
@ImpudentIncognito
Hello there~ Thats good that your week has been alright despite the "ups and downs". And that it ended on a good note for you.
Oh my, We are so sorry to hear about the CPS situation. That doesn't sound very helpful or beneficial to you "or your son"! I do hope that the situation changes very soon for you both. And we hope that you both are able to find the right help that you need. And that you both heal from this ordeal.
How awesome for you on increasing your water intake and that it brought some great benefits for you. Healthy skin (and proper hydration) are certainly great benefits. And you don't have to be perfect. Its great that you just decided to take the first step in doing better with that. You are doing a great job at working on making some healthier new choices for yourself. With drinking and eating. Just remember its ok to "eat out" as well if you have the finances to do so. Just make healthier choices. Look up the menu online before going out. And prepare yourself for a healthier option! You can make it work. Great job and keep up the great work that you are doing.
Congratulations on getting your son back from CPS. That is such wonderful news for you. And its amazing that you have some good people and a great support system in your life. That is certainly something that we all need.
We hope that you are able to get your car fixed so that you can go on that trip! Sounds like you could use a little getaway! Where do you think you will travel to?!
And hopefully you will get your haircut as desired... its been a long time for me too. I know I could use one myself. And I totally agree. that its challenging to find a "good" stylist and one that you can trust to give you what you desire. As I have curly hair too! lol... So I empathize with you, as I know that is!...
And we also hope that you are able to find yourself some new clothes and shoes. Not sure where you are, but fashion certainly doesn't have to be expensive. You could try cheaper stores like Walmart, Target, or even look on Amazon. THere are many options there. And good luck on getting in your eye and dental exams. Those are certainly important. And We hope that you are continuing to heal from being sick so that your starting a new job continues to come together.
And that you are able to get through your "debts". That can be challenging. Perhaps you can take steps and get extensions on those by calling. And get rid of what you no longer need or could go without. Its easy to fall behind when theres alot going on in your life, and you're just trying to hold your own self together. But its great that you have a plan ahead for getting out under everything. I'm sure with that positive mindframe, you will do everything you set your mind to do! Good luck. And know that we are here to support you however we can.
THank you so much for checking in this week and letting us know how you are doing. Please continue to keep us up to date on how things are going for you (and your son)!
Been recovering from covid past 2 weeks. Also working from home. I am better then I was a week ago. Just sleepy and low on energy.
Quite a busy work day, updating troubleshooting notes from 6 to 14 years ago. Many projects info to update. Lot to catch up on from poor note taking.
Doing ok so far.
@MoonLightShadow423
Hello there Moon, thats good that you are better this week. Hopefully you will very soon gain your energy back and be back to doing things like before. And that you will continue to catch up on your work projects. Its great that you are doing "Ok so far". Hang in there. We are here to support you.
Thank you for checking in this week and letting us know how you are doing and keeping us up to date on things.
