🌞This week is going pretty fast... It started out pretty well, and a little busy as I was getting ready to go on vacation this week. So I had a lot of running around and errands to do and take care of.

🏊 Before leaving I had bought and put a new Solar Cover on my Pool to see if it would help with keeping the pool water warmer for a bit longer. Typically in August our days are still pretty hot and humid, but for some reason this year, its gotten more seasonable this month. And temps have not been as hot. So it started to cool off the water some. I have found that the Solar cover has helped with this to my surprise! And was able to get in the pool a few times this week before leaving out of town.

🌊 I'm currently away on vacation celebrating my Anniversary~ The trip here went pretty well. The drive was well, Check-in Went pretty smoothly, and Our Room is Awesome. So far we have done alot of walking around, did a little shopping, got icecream from our favorite place, and yesterday (Friday) we drove down to the nearby Beach for the day.

🌴Today intentions are to hopefully relax Pool-side for a bit in the morning, And then Check out the local TITANIC Exhibit in the afternoon.... We've done this Exhibit before in another area years ago. And its Amazing! If you like anything that deals with the Titanic (Movie, stories, History behind it etc...) then this Exhibit is a MUST if you can get to one! ....and then afterwards on to wherever else the day takes us~

Hi, Ocean,

How have you been this week?.....I have been mostly just hanging on.

How do you feel this month has gone for you overall?.....it's been a trainwreck

How would you sum up this month for yourself?.....It went from getting it together to a trainwreck

What do you feel was the 'BEST' thing that happened for you this month? My sister and brother in law said I could move with them. That is a very low bar.

🌊 I posted the photo today that states "Enjoy the Little things", As we can kind of "Overlook" the little things, or simply not take the time to appreciate them.....What were some of the "Little things" that you enjoyed or took time to enjoy & appreciate this past week? I supposedly got a job at a fast food restaurant, but haven't started. Yesterday the GM told me she would call me but I didn't hear back from her. I'll call her today.

🏊 Just for Fun: What is your Most Favorite Day of the Week and Why?!

🍍What were your "Highlights Or Struggles" this week?... How were you able to work through your challenges?!

🌴What would "YOU" Like to talk about, add or share with us this week?! ....WE want to hear from YOU!

Hi Tree...

Sorry to hear the month wasn't the best for you, but its good that you are still hanging on this past week. And that you've gotten an offer to move in with family. I'm not fully aware of your circumstances, but I would like to think its better than having no place to go.

Hopefully you hear something soon about starting your job. Keep us updated on how that goes for you. And thanks for checking in this week to let us know how you are doing. Please check back to keep us up to date on things and how they are continuing to go.

I'm going to have to say the little things were the winner and MVP of this month.

Mother Teresa says to focus on them as it's where strength comes from...

And how many musicians and poets have spoken of the importance of these?

To stop and smell a rose, connect with a tree or see the world in a grain of sand!

This month I dedicate and devote myself to the small things: without them I am nothing

Focusing on all the little things is a good goal to have. For its the little things we look back on and realize that they are what mattered the most.

Thanks for checking in this week and sharing with us!

@PoliteOcean,

I am feeling much better after recovering from covid. The work week was a bit crazy since machines were broken for 3 weeks. This month has its ups and down from sickness to jumping back into work. Trying to understand my health status with or without covid has been an interesting journey. Glad things are improving. Getting to rest from all the nonsense at work was my best week.

I got to enjoy resting in bed and bonding with my family a little here and there with covid and without it. They talk a lot. Could use a tiny break from their silliness. All in good fun.

I enjoy the weekends to rest, visit family or friends, and be lazy.

Highlights: Teaching myself some topics for the job.

Struggles: Not enough of myself to go around.

Work through challenges: Paced myself and take it one step at a time.

Thanks for listening.

Sounds like its been quite the week and month for you personally and professionally. But getting the rest you needed is certainly pretty important. As well as having family time.

Weekends are always a great time to relax and unwind. And even better when you get to share them with those you enjoy.

Hopefully you will learn to overcome your struggle of not spreading yourself too thin... and making more time for yourself. For thats where we wear ourselves out if we dont! But its good that you where able to realize that for yourself.

Thanks for checking in this week and keeping us up to date on things.

🌞 How have you been this week?.....I have been in a "i want to recover and do the right thing' frame of mind half the time, and the other half I have been moody and drinking. I'm cutting back on a pill I am prescribed until I have quit them completely and I am okay with it.

🌴 This is our "LAST" Check-in for the Month of AUGUST~ How do you feel this month has gone for you overall?.....How would you sum up this month for yourself?.....What do you feel was the 'BEST' thing that happened for you this month?.....The best thing that happened to me this month would probably be letting myself feel what I feel, and using healthy coping skills. reading books. writing poetry and publishing it on Wattpad. going to recovery meetings online. sleeping. and also being with my significant other.

🌊 I posted the photo today that states "Enjoy the Little things", As we can kind of "Overlook" the little things, or simply not take the time to appreciate them.....What were some of the "Little things" that you enjoyed or took time to enjoy & appreciate this past week? reading, blogging, doing meetings, staying positive

🏊 Just for Fun: What is your Most Favorite Day of the Week and Why?! Don't have a specific favorite but usually the beginning of the week because I get paid and get to go shopping and get a lot done

🍍What were your "Highlights Or Struggles" this week?... How were you able to work through your challenges?! Highlights was recovery work....meetings especially, starting my new class for GED, being on 7 cups and sleeping. my struggles were drinking and making an idiot of myself and waking up not feeling my best because of it but that's okay because i won't give up on recovery.

🌴What would "YOU" Like to talk about, add or share with us this week?! ....WE want to hear from YOU! <3 love you guys, stay strong <3

🌞 How have you been this week?.....

I have been great this week, better than last week that's for sure.

🌴 This is our "LAST" Check-in for the Month of AUGUST~ How do you feel this month has gone for you overall?.....How would you sum up this month for yourself?.....What do you feel was the 'BEST' thing that happened for you this month?

this month has been really hard, both in terms of work, exercise and overall health. it was plummeting as the days went but finally toward the end it's starting to rise bit by bit :D The best thing that happened to me this month was quitting my job. felt like a big win for me after being mistreated at my job

🌊 I posted the photo today that states "Enjoy the Little things", As we can kind of "Overlook" the little things, or simply not take the time to appreciate them.....What were some of the "Little things" that you enjoyed or took time to enjoy & appreciate this past week?

reading and reading about personal development, they were fascinating. well and also taking the self help weight management guide. it was a good read. I also really enjoyed eating more veggies this month. Now that I think of it I made it a point to always eat at least 1 whole veggie with each meal, it started with only 1 tomato but now I upgraded to 1 whole tomato and 1 whole cucumber 😊

🏊 Just for Fun: What is your Most Favorite Day of the Week and Why?!

Saturday, because I can be as lazy as I can be with no judgement because it's a common rest day.

🍍What were your "Highlights Or Struggles" this week?... How were you able to work through your challenges?!

my highlight was eating breakfast each day and eating more veggies. but also I am finally starting to understand my appetite and know when to stop eating and when to recognize I am eating out of emotion or boredom. big achievement for me

🌴What would "YOU" Like to talk about, add or share with us this week?! ....WE want to hear from YOU!

watching breaking bad helped me tremendously to survive this past weeks lol

@PalmTree7773

Hey there Palm! Thats so great that you are doing better than the previous week despite this past month being hard for you. Its easy to struggle when it comes to finding a "balance" with work, exercise, and putting those things at the forefront. But... how awesome that things are starting to 'rise' a bit for you!

Thats good for you that you were your own advocate. We certainly shouldn't stay in any place where we feel we are being mistreated in any way. So if quitting your job was the best thing that happened for you this past month, it sounds like it was well warranted for you to do so! Congrats to you on making a decision that was beneficial to your overall wellbeing. And was a "big win" for you as you stated!

And congrats to you on making so many awesome strides for yourself in personal development, working on self help and weight management guide, and eating healthier this month! ALL AMAZING WORK! Keep it up!

Awesome work on incorporating breakfast each day and increasing your veggies!! Way to go!..And learning to understand yourself and what you need to work towards all of your healthy living goals! You are doing an amazing job for yourself. And we are proud of you! Lots of great accomplishments there!

Thank you for sharing with us this week and checking in. Amazing check-in for you!. Please continue to keep us updated on how things are continuing to go for you and with your goals!

@PoliteOcean Here’s how the past week went. I was consistent with my devotional times. Sunday I went for a walk through my neighborhood. Monday I decided to dump my art history course because I just couldn’t handle the new format on the Coursera platform. There was too much reading, the videos were too short, and the curriculum was too disjointed. It was upsetting. I spent $40 for my Coursera course and got nothing out of it. Tunde told me he couldn’t take me to the Catholic church on Wednesday night. I’ve completely run out of leads on how to participate in either an online church or a real life church. Tuesday I took a shower. Wednesday I got a haircut and went for a walk. Thursday I went to the public library and started listening to a podcast on Plato’s philosophy of art. Then I went for a walk. Friday I started to listen to the same podcast, but the volume was way too low, so I decided that wasn’t working for me. It was upsetting. Friday I also went for a walk. I was feeling very frustrated about having a lack of a clear path for my art studies. Saturday I finally got the idea of watching YouTube videos. The problem is most YouTube videos on art history are very short, which isn’t suitable for me. Thursday night I sent my doctor a nasty email saying I was unhappy with their job performance. I’m not really expecting an answer but felt a need to express my feelings. This past week I got a call from the political party and a man named Doug said they might need my help with the social media or doing database work. If I could get involved in doing volunteer database work again that would be a huge victory. He said somebody named Harry is supposed to call me but I haven’t heard from him yet. For this upcoming week, I have an appointment with my psychiatrist on Monday. I stopped taking both of my sleeping medications because they weren’t effective. Wednesday I’m going to go into my clinic and file a complaint against my doctor. I don’t know if they even have a procedure for that, but if I call the call center I’m not going to get an answer.

@Regmo

Hi Regmo, thats good that you are still staying consistent with your devotional time. And that you are continuing to get in and keep up with your walks as well as your hygiene which is very important. Thats too bad that Tunde couldn't take you to the Catholic church. Maybe he can at some other point in time. THere are lots of options for online church if you can't make it in person. It doesn't have to necessarily be nearby... you could try to expand your online options to other churches in different areas perhaps? Thats good that you were able to advocate for yourself to your doctor about your dissatisfaction. Keep us updated on if you do end up hearing anything back or how things go on your next visit. And hopefully for you, you will hear something in regards to the possible work with the political party and getting involved with volunteer work for yourself. Sounds like you have a fairly busy week ahead with your appointments and other things... Also, yes, there are procedures for filing a complaint against your doctor. Anyone can do so. But how far it goes will be if they feel its a legitimate reason. Keep us updated on how all of that goes as well. And thanks for checking in and sharing this week. And letting us know how your week has gone.

🌴 This is our "LAST" Check-in for the Month of AUGUST~ How do you feel this month has gone for you overall?.....How would you sum up this month for yourself?.....What do you feel was the 'BEST' thing that happened for you this month?

I feel this has gone okay I guess overall.

I would sum this month up for myself as tolerable, probably.

I feel the best thing that happened to me this month was getting a bit more in touch with myself and things, people and places I like.
