**This past week has been about the same.....Mostly Typical. I finally feel back on track with most things again this week. Still working with Physical Therapy to get my leg in better condition and back on track. With it being Winter, I usually fall back on getting in enough water during this time, but water has increased this week & I'm back to meal-planning. My sleep needs Much improvement, and hoping to work towards that again with better results in the coming week ahead.
**My group Fitness classes are still at a low at this time with my Senior Center classes still at a Hault due to COVID. And my regular classes low on attendance numbers this month..... Due to lack of attendance I've decreased my regular classes to only ONE class over this past month. And have already planned to do the same for February to see if things change with the One already in progress. I've decided to reach out to my seniors who have currently lost 'Use" of their space to see if they would prefer to continue classes in the current Indoor Space that I'm working in now. I'm not sure if they would want to make the drive which is fairly close. But... they are so used to having things in their own community. But, I'll at least try........ I feel that if things don't improve for my "regular classes" in the month ahead, then I will need to discontinue them and venture into a different aspect of Fitness (either another one of my Formats or Personal Training) as I also continue to work with my Senior Clientele in some way.
**The weather has still been pretty cold here (sadly with No snow, which I miss as we only get it once every 1-2 years)....So its still rather challenging to get outdoors for outdoor activity. I don't care to workout in cold weather. But I have been slowly contemplating getting back to the gym indoors to others group fitness classes. As I miss it and miss being a "student/participant". I'm still a little leary yet with Covid, and have to wait until my Physical Therapy is done as well. Hopefully I can back to that and continue working on my own goals within the next month.
**My hubby's Birthday will be coming up next week, so we are planning for a pre-birthday dinner today (Saturday) and then a small FamilyBirthday Party during the week on his actual Birthday!~
ENJOY THE WEEKEND~

@Goldcherry2113
Hey there.. That great for you that your week went good for you and keeping busy and good news from the doctor is surely icing on the cake!
Its great that you are continuing to make goals for yourself. And working towards them.Reading a few chapters a day can totally make great strides on helping you to accomplish completing your book.
Having an accountability partner can surely help you to stay on track in your goals and plans! ... And its great that you are going for walks. And yes I totally agree that having a dog helps with that! They are kind of "accountability" partners in their own right! I know mine surely keeps me on track with walking. Especially when its nice outside. Drinking water is a great tip. Most of probably for sure lack in getting enough of it in daily. And it does take extra work sometimes. And Yes, I totally agree. If its a bad day, just let it be that. I personally don't attempt to "force" anything either. I just try to take things one moment at a time.
Wow! Those are LOTS of awesome winter activities... Good for you if you are able to get most of them in. I'm not a winter person by any means... If I can manage to get a "walk" in during the winter-time then I'm doing good. lol... Thats great for you. Snowboarding LOOKs so fun.. Too dangerous for me lol.. But.. I like to watch others do it!
Despite your struggles of negative thoughts, kuddos to you on being able to keep a routine for yourself! And its great that you are feeling better. Continue to keep up all the great work that you are doing. Sounds like a really positive checkin for you. Thank you so much for checking in this week and letting us know how you've been doing!
@ PoliteOcean This past week my caretaker took me grocery shopping on Monday, and then took me for a walk both on Wednesday and Friday. I found out that my acupuncturist doesn't take my insurance, which is really upsetting.
I found a new acupuncturist, but they are the only one in driving distance that takes my insurance. It's still going to be another 4-5 months before I get my iheritance from my mother.
I want to buy a mobile home after it comes in, but I don't know what the amount is going to be. It might not be enough. If I buy a mobile home, I won't be able to go into Christian leadership.
I was supposed to be a senior pastor, but my life got derailed by a narcissist.
My sister is a moron, but she is the only sister I have who is praying for me. My therapy is going well, but it's only 30 minutes a week, which isn't very much. I'm watching psychology videos on the internet every day, but I'm not always in the mood to take notes. I'm way ahead of my therapist on issues that need to be covered. My creepy roomie is staying in his bedroom more, which makes me happy.
@Regmo
Hey there Regmo.. How great for you that you were able to get out and about to get your groceries and to get 2 walks in this week. Your doing better than me! Lol... I've been wanting to get back out for a walk, but this weather is crazy and my leg is having some issues at the moment. But its great that you were able to get it in. So sorry that you are still dealing with the the whole insurance thing regarding the acupunture appointment. Just doesn't seem fair since they told you at first that they would take it. Its good that you were able to find another accupunturist though. How nice that you have your inheritance to look forward to at least. 4-5 months may seem longer than you want to wait, however it will surely go by fast enough or before we know it. Thats nice that you are looking into possibly buying a mobile home for yourself. Would you be able to have someone continue to help you if you move on your own? Is it too late to possibly be a senior pastor if thats what you desired to do? If you buy the home, I was just wondering why that would stop you from going into Christian Leadership? I'm not aware of how all of that works, so thought I would ask.... Its nice that your sister is praying for you. In these days and times, I would never turn down prayers thats for sure. We can use all the prayers we can get these days. Its good for you that your therapy is going well. I agree that 30 minutes isn't enough sometimes. Sometimes more time is needed. At least your roomie problem is going better. So thats a positive for the week! Hopefully for you it will remain that way. Thanks so much for checking in this week and letting us know how things have been going for you.
@PoliteOcean
The week has been good mostly 😇
For the last week, I will set a daily checklist. 📝
Checklists can be motivating for routine tasks. Hence, included it.
Drinking a glass of warm water with honey and lemon in the morning or something similar
Taking a morning walk in the winters is
I think the biggest struggle had been relying on others. I have mostly been self-dependent. But every once in a while when I rely on others, I find them slowing me down. So, need to find a way to get things done by myself and yet be social.
At the beginning of the week I had planned to get into a morning routine with a cousin, which lasted just one day. Didnt plan for failure 😅
Thank you Poli. Wish you an eventful week ahead
@DonaldDraper
Thats great that you are going to take the time to create a check-list. I always ensure to make one in my phone to help me stay on task.
Warm water with honey and lemon.... During my healthy living career and journey, I have read this many times in different places. I don't know many who do it though and have never done it myself. So tell me, What advantages of drinking it do you see. Or in what ways do you find it benefits you?
lol... so much for plans and routines~
Theres always the next day, or the next week?! Perhaps try planning again? What held you back this time? Work around it! (I know sometimes easier said than done).. But once again, its a good thing there are 7days in a week to help us get it right at some point!
Thanks for checking in this week DD
Hello! First time posting in here :)
So one thing that I have started doing is making fruit smoothies in the morning. I keep them as healthy as possible by not putting any added sugar in, such as honey or syrup. Sometimes green vegetables go in as well. I've been surprised in the way that they can actually keep me full for longer than expected. I don't make them every morning, but around two to three times a week. I still have a ways to go with cutting back on carbs (mostly cereal) and pastries, though. They're so hard to cut back on!
While overall health is more important for me than just weight loss, I could do with losing some pounds, as I am considered "slightly overweight" according to that outdated BMI scale. I was also told by my health care provider that while my cholesterol is low, it's not as low as it could be and I can do with exericing more during the week.
I can't really do a lot of "winter activities" where I live, but I do sometimes take long walks at the nature center when it's not TOO freezing outside lol.
Some of my other goals include getting better at consistently tidying up my living space, practicing Spanish more consistently, and increase the amount of job applications I send out (for my 'long-term career job'), since the rate I'm going at with them is far too slow. xD
@cafedaydreams
Hello there! Thanks so much for introducing yourself! Welcome to the Healthy Living Subcom. We are so glad to have you here joining in with us.
Awesome job to you on taking steps toward living a healthy lifestyle for yourself. How nice that you are incorporating Fruit smoothies. And awesome job on keeping them healthy and not adding in any extra sugars! Green veggies are always great. Especially Kale or Spinach since they don't really leave a taste in them. And yes, when you add the right things and bulk them up with good nutrition, they can certainly keep you feeling full. I agree, it can be challenging to cut back on those carbs that aren't the healthiest for us, but perhaps just taking it day by day. And cut back on a little here and there at a time so that its not so overwhelming for you.
Its so great that you seem to have a good knowledge on what needs to be done to work on your overall health goals. And what its going to take! Keeping your foods healthy, Planning ahead, adding some exercises during the week... etc... ALL great things. Just take small steps forward, day by day. Each small step adds up to bigger ones for sure.
Long walks are AWESOME! Great job!.. Exercise doesn't have to be hard, or boring etc... The key is finding things that you like and it will never seem like work. Taking a long walk to places that you enjoy visiting is a great workout. Walking is great cardio and works the entire body, and something that we can do all the time, And its FREE! Keep up the great work!
Sounds like you are also on the road to doing many little things that add up to bigger things that will surely play a part in a healthier overall well being. Physically, mentally and emotionally! Tidying up your surroundings, practicing Spanish, planning your career and working on those goals, those are amazing steps forward for you!.. You are really doing a great job. And this is a wonderful first check-in for you! Thank you so much for sharing. And please be sure to check back with us and continue to let us know how things are going for you!

Friends, writing, music and art can be great motivators... Sounds like you are a really "artsy person" (music, writing and art, all fall into that category).
Great job on cooking healthier! Good for you!.. What things do you find that you are making that are healthier? What is a favorite? Keep up the great work!
