Hi everyone, this week I have been productive which I am excited about. ONE thing is I have been esting more carbs than usual which i feel a bit guilty about. Apart from that i have been doing well with both my mental health and physical health
@SpicyHeart
Hey there!... How great that you were able to have a productive week. I love when that happens. I think it helps us to feel so accomplished. And its really great that you are doing so well with both your mental and physical health! Great job to you on that. Whatever you are doing to help with that, continue to keep up the great work.
As far as feeling guilty about eating more carbs, just know that living healthier is about progress and Not about perfection. Everything in "moderation" is key. Allowing yourself treats every now and then can help us in not depriving ourselves of things that we enjoy. Allowing yourself time for those things is alright.... and then move forward making even better choices with your next meal after.
Thank you for sharing with us, and checking in this week to continue to let us know how you are doing!
@PoliteOcean
thank you... seeing others doing better and getting ahead gives me a trigger and shame on my own body, It's OK ... I wil be OK!
@SpicyHeart
Oh yes I can totally understand that.... As a parent, as a fitness instructor, as a trainer, etc......
We tend to be our own worst critics! And thats sad. All we can do is continue to keep moving forward in making strides to do the best that we are able to do for ourselves. And focus on all the great things that we are working on for ourselves!
And what we can take from others that we see or feel are getting ahead, is to allow that to be an even bigger inspiration to continue to work harder at getting to where we want to be and achieving our own personal goals!
You are doing great! You've got this! And yes, it will be OK! ![]()
Thanks for your warm respond
My week is going fun so far, thanks for asking @PoliteOcean ♡ For my mental health: sunlight, regular walking/ yoga/ planks, Omega 3 6 9 and hugs. When in a triggering situation, DBT STOP skill. There's no magic bullet unfortunately xD
○ Last week of May will be to confirm 1 menu for my upcoming home biz (it's still in final stage plan, hope I don't jinx it now xD) and finishing a certification (hopefully) ○ it's getting wetter here, so exercise indoor and don't forget umbrella
○ A birthday surprise for my daughter was successful this week and she brimmed in tears when said "you always try everything to make me happy" That's what achievement is, for me 😊
@ouiCherie
Hey there Oui, Sounds like you are making many great strides for yourself and working hard towards your goals! Sunlight, regular activities, Omegas, and focusing on your Mental Health are truly All great things!
Also it sounds like your personal life with your Home biz, and your daughter are going just as great for you! Many awesome achievements for you recently. Continue to keep up the great work! In your personal well-being and here at 7cups!
Thank you so much for checking in and sharing with the group this week and keeping us up to date on how things are going!
@PoliteOcean 🤗🤗🤗
@PoliteOcean
Our body is the Temple of the Lord so we need to take utmost care of it.
HEALTH IS WEALTH
@RideaRainbow
Yes absolutely agree!...
(Sometimes its easier said than done, as nobody here on earth is perfect)... But yes we should always work towards treating our bodies (and minds) in the best ways that we can! Through healthy foods, and healthy activities for the body, mind and spirit~
Absolutely. By & by it makes our way of life. Doesn't happen in a day but through REGULAR CONCERTED & SKILLFUL EFFORTS.
@PoliteOcean Here's how the past week went. Monday I had therapy and also I called my acupuncturist and they said they don't want me to come back until I get my second vaccination shot. I have it scheduled for May 27th. Monday I sent my tax forms in so I could get the Golden State Stimulus, which is specific to California, but I didn't include my 1099 so I don't know if I will get it. Wednesday I went grocery shopping and also for a walk. Friday Deysi canceled on me because her car was broken down. Friday night I finally put some antibiotic on my ear wound. I keep a bandage on it only at night time, but take the bandage off during the day. Next week my creepy roomie is going to go to the hospital for two days to have his huge bloody lump removed off his face. Maybe I'll throw a party and invite all my friends ( jk) I've been getting some resolution on existential issues based upon the Gospel of John. I didn't follow up with the Bakken Center because their videos had technical difficulties. I'm very stressed everyday but since I'm a chronic pain patient there is no where to go to escape the stress. I'm reading a book about a dead Russian poet, Marina Tsvetaeva. My life is stable, but my progress is going at a snail's pace.
@Regmo
Hey there Regmo!.... Thats good that your appointment for your 2nd vaccine is so close.. Only a few days away, so sounds like you won't have to wait much longer to get back to your acupuncture appointments! Thats great that you were able to get out and about for another walk. I bet the weather there in California is so amazing. Not sure what part you live in. I've never been there yet, and its always a place that I've dreamed of visiting some day... Especially the coast. Thats too bad that Deysi had to cancel due to her car. Hopefully she gets that taken care of. Thats good that you are continuing to take care of your wound. And its also good that you are also allowing it a chance to breathe as well after being covered overnight. Sounds like you are doing a good job at taking care of it. Sounds like it will be a good thing for you to be away from your roomie for a bit. I'm sure you could use that time apart. And its good that you are continuing to work on the existential issues and finding some resolution. Thats too bad that the video had some technical difficulties. Hopefully you will at some point be able to follow up again with it. And that you are able to at some point find some relief and escape of sorts that helps you to get away from the stressors that you feel are weighing you down everyday. Even if only for a bit. (Examples can be just find a peaceful place that you enjoy, and getting out of your own head for bit, and clearing your mind and thoughts). Even if just for a little while. I know its something that tends to help me in the moment even if it doesn't entirely get rid of the problem or concern. But perhaps it can give you a feeling of peace, calm and even some clarity on things. Despite that you feel things are going slower than you might like or desire, Its good that you are able to say that your life is "Stable". Thats a good place to be. And its great that you feel that way about it!
Stability is good.
Hopefully you can get back out for another walk this week. I found a new place with a lake and many ducks and swans. Its been really peaceful to walk there and good for the soul..... Where are some of the places that you enjoy taking your walks?! Thank you as always for continuing to check in and keep us up to date on things. And letting us know how things are going and how you are continuing to do from week to week.
This week I got help during another crisis. I’ve been staying at a wonderful respite place instead of a hospital. I’ve been very supported and given the opportunity to work on my mental health in a safe and non-judgemental space. I went on a 4 mile hike with someone new and enjoyed the beautiful warm weather. My goal for the month is to graduate and find a new place to live, away from my triggers. I hope everyone is doing well or at least getting the support they need ❤️
@Cozyslippers
Hey there!... Sorry to hear that you had another crisis, however its great that you help for it! And its great for you that you are in a good respite place and that its giving you the support that you need Without any judgements! Great job to you on working towards improving your mental health!
AWESOME Job to you on the 4 Mile Hike! Way to go!
How lovely for you that you were able to go with someone new, and was able to enjoy great weather! And even more of an awesome job to you on making goals towards graduation, and working towards finding a new place for yourself! Sounds like you have many great things to look forwards to moving ahead!
It sounds like you are doing a reallly great job for yourself! You should be very proud! Keep up the great work that you are doing! And thank you for thinking of others with all the well-wishes! We wish you well too and all the best moving forwards!!
Thank you so much for stopping by to check in this week and letting us know how things are continuing to go for you! So glad that you are doing so well!
Thank you dear Ocean ❤️ I’m doing much better and hope everyone gets the help/support they need ☺️
Hey everyone hope you're well I'm gonna get back into exercise after months of sitting around. Trying to decide if I should restart or jump, not at my upper limit but not at the very start, and see what I can handle. I think it'll help my mental and physical health Weather has been nice here, too. Hot but the sun is nice. Graduation was interesting, online ceremony which felt so impersonal but getting regalia helped a little. Not a bad day by any means. Congrats to everyone who has graduated or will be graduating! Take care
@Lexloveslife
Hey there Lex! So good to hear from you this week.......
Its so great to hear that you are ready to get back into exercise again. Good for you. I think you should go with whatever your "instincts" feel, or tell you to do, Or feels that you can handle. And you are right, finding the right type of exercises and ones that you enjoy as well, can totally help your mental and physcial health in so many ways.
I also agree that the sun has been nice despite the turning up of the heat. (I don't know about you, but the sun can always be a great mood improver or mood changer all around)!
Congrats on your graduation! I'm sure it did feel somewhat odd having it online! I'm trying to imagine how something like that would have gone. Impersonal sounds like a good way to describe something that should have been a big deal to those it was for. But its great for you that it wasn't a bad thing! And that it seemed to have worked out. You worked hard to get there to that point!
What are your plans now moving ahead?!
Thanks so much for stopping by this week and sharing with us!.... I have been wondering how you've been doing so its great to have you check in! You take care as well!
Thank you, that means a lot to me! I agree with you on the sun being a mood lifter. I don't know what's next but hopefully something good :)
@PoliteOcean Thank you for this post and tag! I really love the quotes in the picture and esecially the beach photo. It really calmed me and brought so much peace inside me. Thank you! It would be so lovely to be at the beach right now! I miss the tranquility <3 i guess just seeing a picture or video satisfies it all
@Dazzle28purvi
Hey there! So great to have you join in and share with us this week!
It's so great to hear that you love the photos and quotes, I really do try to find something that will be a positive image or resource to someones day! And I'm so glad to hear that it calmed you and brought you feelings of peace!
.... That warms my heart to hear that.
I can totally relate that it truly would be lovely to be at the beach right now. Its truly one of my most favorite places to be. There is scientific data out there that says being or living near the water can do amazing things to help in improving our overall health body, mind and spirit (From lowering blood pressure to so many other great things)!
I really appreciate you taking the time to stop by, and share with us this week. And so glad that the photos helped to improve your day in some way! Thank you so much for checking in and letting us know how you are doing!
@PoliteOcean Thank you for this lovely response! You have truly uplifted me through your words, effort and presence. Keep shinning Ocean! You are magical and I am filled with so much harmony- it literally took one image, one quote, one settence, one fact, one person to change my day upside down and week! You are a blessing! Keep it going Ocean- your contribution is making an impact! Big hugs!
@PoliteOcean
Hey there Everyone~ How is your week going? I'm ok
***Remember that MAY is MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS MONTH... What are some ways or some things that you have been doing to take care of you Mental Health this past week or this Month?! I've been trying to relax a lot and just making small changes to b less stressed
*** We have One more week left of this month, What are some things or goals that you are hoping to accomplish for yourself before the month ends?! I've got sum important meeting coming up...
*** Its been so beautiful here over the past week... How has the weather been where you are? What things have you found yourself doing more with it getting nicer and warmer out? What new activities have you done or hope to do? It's been way to hot and I got sunburned really bad, over the weekend I went golfing
*** What is One "Positive" thing that has happened for you this week or that's made you feel happy?! Talking to my sister
*** What have been your "Highlights or Struggles" this past week? A good thing was talking to my sister a bad thing was maybe just my dad but it's nothing out of the ordinary
*** What would "YOU" like to talk about or share with us about your Week?! WE want to hear from "YOU
so I've been trying to get a job and that will really help me b able to buy clothes and everything that I need and even things I want (I'm 14 but my parents r really awful)
@Charlotte25basketball
Hey there!
Good for you for trying to make small changes for yourself and finding time to relax when needed.
Thats too bad that the weather has been to hot for you to enjoy and that you got sunburned! Hopefully it wasn't too bad! Remember to keep your skin healthy and incorporate that Sunblock during outdoor activities! Did you get sunburned while you were golfing? Golfing looks like a fun activity. I tried mini-golf a time or two. It takes concentration thats for sure. But it seems fun.
Despite the bad part of the week being about your dad, its really great that you were able to find the positivity and the joy of being able to talk with your sister! I'm sure you had a lovely talk with her.
I hope that you are able to get the job that you are looking for. I'm not sure where you are located, I know it can be challenging getting a job at 14yrs old, but depending on the areas sometimes you can find a job where you can help out for a few hours a week. It would certainly help and put a few dollars in your pocket for the things that you would like to enjoy! Not sure if you would have to get your parents to agree to allow you to work though where you are. I think (like here in the USA) you would have to get parental permission to work that young. But not so sure about other places/countries.
I hope that it all comes together for you! Please keep continue to keep us updated on that and how things continue to go. Positive vibes your way that you find something!.... Thank you so much for checking in this week and letting us know how you are doing and how things are going for you!
*** Hey there Everyone~ How is your week going? It was a horrible week. . . I lost the only option we had to move on, they raised the rent and got other rented before I could talk to them. Then I find out my boyfriend ex has health issues so bad that her doctor said it's only matter of time for her death, her thyriod stopped working, but between the meds she is on and the alcohol she drinks, I thought it would be her liver first. Then I got stood up by a friend of mine and then he blocked me for no reason. my abandonment and trust issues are on high right now. My gout and carpal tunnel and teeth hurt all at once. So far. . . Monday (today is way better than all of last week.)
***Remember that MAY is MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS MONTH... What are some ways or some things that you have been doing to take care of you Mental Health this past week or this Month?! I have a release book. I write down things to manifest or to let go.
*** We have One more week left of this month, What are some things or goals that you are hoping to accomplish for yourself before the month ends?! I want to write more inspite of my carpal tunnel.
*** Its been so beautiful here over the past week... How has the weather been where you are? sunny, muggy, a few storms
What things have you found yourself doing more with it getting nicer and warmer out? I need to walk more
What new activities have you done or hope to do? I need to walk more
*** What is One "Positive" thing that has happened for you this week or that's made you feel happy?! Nothing this week. I got out of bed
*** What have been your "Highlights or Struggles" this past week? My boyfriend ex wants to visit before she gets sicker, it worries me. He slipped and called me her name.
Good news: I got a new phone
*** What would "YOU" like to talk about or share with us about your Week?! WE want to hear from "YOU"~
I just hope I have a good week.
@Rebekahwriter13
Hey there Rebekah!
Wow... sounds like you had quite a week with many things to deal with. Its really great that you are finding the start of your week to be better than the whole previous week combined! Thats saying alot! Hopefully things will continue to come together for you all with being able to move. Sorry to hear that the place you wanted didnt happen this time. Hopefully next time that situation will be better as well.
A "Release book" sounds really helpful. ... Pretty much like "journaling". So do you read over what you wrote in your Release book, or do you just write in it, let it go, and move forward? Sometimes when I journal, depending on the situation, I won't re-read what I wrote ,b/c I feel like I was able to get down and out all my negative thoughts and don't want to deal with it again. (So I guess technically thats almost like a Release book too)? Either way it sounds like a great thing to have one.
The whole thing with your boyfriends Ex sounds like alot.... I understand that he probably wants to be there for her as a friend. But, if he's with you, your feelings about that should come first. Thats tough. Hopefully thats another situation that will continue to work itself out some how!
Cool on the new phone... I might end up needing a new one too at some point. What kind did you get?
Thanks for taking the time to stop by and share with us this week. Was wondering how things have been going for you. Thanks for letting us know how you are doing!
@PoliteOcean My release book is I write things down for a certain amount of time. . . then I destroy it. It's like giving everything to the Fates. Letting things go.
My phone is Tmobile N10. 5G. I didn't think I could afford it but I saved over months and with my phone update I got over hundred off.
