**The past week started off as the usual the first couple of days (Taught 2 classes and Subbed one)..... but.... then by "mid-week" I found myself not feeling very well ...I pretty much spent Wed-Fri resting my body. I think allergies got the better of me and more. And my energy was low and found that I couldn't do as much as I wanted (or needed to do)~ frown.... So.. I just took those few days to rest, and made app't to get some meds in me. I wasn't really up to eating much, and I was unable to exercise at all, other than stepping in place to get steps (when I found the energy to do so).~ Its so important to take time for "Self care, personal care etc..." Otherwise we might be "forced" to do so~no

**Since getting some meds in, theres been a speedy improvement, and I found I was able to finish getting some things done today (Friday afternoon/evening)... I was able to finish getting my carpets cleaned, and got the rest of my Christmas decorations and Tree up which I had started last weekend!... I like to get those done and out of the way with "Before" Thanksgiving, so I can relax and enjoy "after" Thanksgiving Dinner and already be in "Christmas Mode"~ cheeky

**This coming week ahead will find me not doing much of anything other than a Dental app't, preparing for Thanksgiving dinner, and...if I'm up to it, enjoying "others" classes while I take a break from teaching my own!...Which I tend to very much look forward to! It helps me to recharge and regroup from my own as well.

**This weekend I have absolutely No errands planned and just truly looking forward to doing "whatever" or "simply nothing" lol.... Which is nice. I'm not sure If I will or won't be up to physically working out in the morning just yet either and might just end up sleeping in... Not sure yet... But, we are planning a dinner/"Date night" out at one of our favorite restaurants in the evening.~

ENJOY THE WEEKEND EVERYONE~yes

Heya @PoliteOcean

The past week has been great overall! It was stressful and tiring as I was given several responsibilities at work that I wasnt sure Id be able to manage but I did it! Well, there were a few mistakes but it was all salvaged, Im learning and Im really happy about that. Thats definitely the highlight/success of the week or even the month!

The struggle was the stress though, it got overwhelming and Ill need to work on that. Im working out often so that should help relieve some of the stress already but its clearly not enough haha! I also think that I may just need to give it time.

This weekend Ill just focus on resting and studying, I really need to catch up on some classes Ill have to give!

Thank you for this check-in, have a good weekend! x

Hey there!

Its so great for you that despite the "stressors" that presented themselves, that you were able to pull through and do what needed to be done! Not everyone can do that or work that way. But you did it. It shows what true inner strength that you have.

I think its awesome that you are continuing to stay the course with your healthy living journey despite the busy-ness and stress that pops up. And that you are continuing to make time to work out and work on "YOU" too!...Continue to keep up the great work that you are doing for yourself!

Its been so great to see you each week! Please continue to check back and let us know how things are continuing to go for you! Thanks so much for checking in this week!

@PoliteOcean This past week went pretty well in some ways, not so good in other ways. I don't have as many appointments as I used to, so that's a relief not having to deal with that. I have a new house mate named Stuart and he's creating a problem. He's 86 years old. I've been finalizing plans for moving to my new location, but I haven't told my house manager yet. I still have to plan and carry out the move of my furniture to my new location. My patient advocate canceled on taking me to one of my doctor's appointments, and I'm not too happy about it. I finally got around to filing a complaint against the skilled nursing facility I was at for falsely diagnosing me as being depressed and suicidal. My new caretaker Veronica is working out well. My favorite location to get a hamburger had a 45 minute wait so I decided to go to a chain restaurant, which isn't my first choice.

Hey there Regmo! Great to see you...Its great that things are going better for you for the most part, despite some other moments that may not be. How nice for you that you don't have as many appointments anymore. Thats always a nice thing.. It gets to be too much after awhile when you have to keep going to those things. Sorry to hear about your new housemate. Yikes. I hope whatever the problem is, that its something that can be resolved quickly! How great that you are finalizing things for your move! You will have to keep us informed on how all of that is going for you! Sorry to hear about your patient advocate, thats too bad, but I'm glad to hear that Veronica is working out for you! Thats great. Please let us know how your complaint against the nursing facility goes. Sorry to hear about the Hamburger, I hope that you were able to get one that was at least "satisfying" and took care of your hunger for one. Thanks so much for checking in this week and letting us know how things have been going for your recently. Please continue to check back and keep us up to date! Take care!

**Hey there everyone~ How has the week been going for you?! Better than last week

**We are about to enter the last week of November! What is your greatest Highlight of the past month? What are you most proud of? My greatest highlight is that I've been walking more, and seeing some progress on my endurance. I am proud of myself for recognizing when I needed help, and reaching out before it gets bad.

**Many are about to Celebrate THANKSGIVING in the coming week ahead! What are you plans for this day? What are your normal preparations leading up to this day? What things do you normally do to celebrate? What are you looking forward to about it the "Most"?! I dont' prefer to celebrate thanksgiving, but my family does so I go along with it because I love them. We tend to make a lot of food, which is almost as fun to prepare as it is to eat.

**What have been your "Highlights" Or "Struggles" over this past week? My struggles have been anxiety and jumbled thoughts, but when I look back to how I was a year or two ago, I am thankful for all of my progress

**What are your weekend Plans? Not much. I am hoping to play some video games, since I haven't done that in a long time

@PoliteOcean Good morning Ocean! So I don't have much planned this week other than Thanksgiving dinner and my older son's 12th birthday! So that is really exciting for me! Tomorrow I am going to go to the store to get the ingredients for our dinner and I will be honest... I am a little nervous to do a Keto dinner. But hopefully it turns out okay. I hope you have a beautiful week!

I am having a tough time instituting healthy habits in my life right now.

First of all, I don't eat healthily for breakfast. I think I'm in the routine of doing nothing sometimes for breakfast and I know that's not good. I don't know where all of my healthy habits have gone.

I have not been able to exercise that much lately.

And I don't eat dinner at a reasonable time. (I eat pretty late).

On top of that, I drink coffee at all hours of the day. I still can't figure out how to stop drinking so much coffee.

The only thing that I know is decent is that my sleep is okay. But aside from that, like everything I know how to do to be healthy has gone out the window these days. Does anybody have a suggestion? I am not trying to beat myself up for falling out of the routine, but I need some advice on how to restart some of these habits.

@intellectual5402 Hey there I resonate with having a tough time sticking with healthy eating habits. I've recently gone through some major diet changes to work through depression and chronic pain so I feel ya, it's a struggle and such a personal thing. Having a few guidelines to stick to to start with really helped me.. they were; eat when I'm hungry and feel like it, if I don't feel hungry at breakfast (which is always) I don't force myself to eat something. And when I do decide to eat something make sure it's not pure sugar (including fruit) try to eat as many colors and foodgroups as possible. Limiting processed foods (anything that comes in a prepacked wrapper or box) is a great opportunity to find a passion for cooking.

I've also struggled to get off coffee and started slowly switching to decaf; I started out swapping out a bit more for decaf everyday for a two weeks until I was only on decaf. I've been a religious coffee drinker so it was important to keep in the ritual part but try to cut back on the caffeine as it makes my anxiety sky rocket.

Every meal is a chance to nourish your body and give you good healthy energy for your body and mind. Don't beat yourself up for bad choice, try to look for the next opportunity to eat something good for you.

@GrowingGinkgo8847 This is good advice. I too struggle with healthy choices, including drinking too much coffee. One thing I do is instead of making a whole pot of coffee, I make a half a pot. That way it's not just sitting there waiting for me to drink more. If I really feel like having more after that, I make a cup of herbal tea and sip on that instead

@optimisticDay6856 I love herbal teas too!! Its such a good replacement for the late afternoons when Im craving a hot drink but dont want caffeine. And its fun learning about the medicinal and healing properties of the plants that the teas come from :)

**My week has gone okay. I've had a couple days of exhaustion and a few days of feeling really good. I've made some important steps for my mental health and had moments of feeling really crummy.

** This month I am most proud of committing to being healthier; mentally, emotionally and physically. I've taken some ownership of my situation and make changes in ways that are within my control. I've changed my diet and found joy in bike riding and made it back to yoga this month; all good steps for my physical body. I've kept up with my monthly support group and joined another one for suicide survivors, I've been going to therapy weekly, and listening to healing podcasts; all good steps for my mental health.

**This is my first Thanksgiving in America in 5 years and I have mixed feelings about it. While I was overseas I enjoyed sharing the gratitude aspects of the holiday with new friends and preparing meals together. This year I feel a little deflated about it. I'm not in a great place mentally and holidays at home always trigger so much anxiety for me. I am going to go to a yoga class in the morning which is my favorite way to practice gratitude then hopefully try to get through the rest of the day of potentially socially awkward situations. I've decided to take a break from my eating style and enjoy whatever I want on this day so I'm looking forward to that.

**"Highlights": Going to yoga for the first time in ages, talking to a friend overseas, warm weather, enjoying bike rides, practicing setting boundaries in challenging relationships. "Struggles": letting go of negative thoughts has been hard, feeling like I'm not doing well at my new job, self-sabotaging behaviors, attending a suicide survivors group was both a highlight because it took a lot of strength to go but also a struggle because I still have active grief that I'm working through, also still struggling to rejoin my social life.

**My weekend Plans were going for a bike ride today (it was beeeeeeeeeeautiful weather), putting up holiday decorations, taking my dog for a walk, talking to a long distance friend, and going to yoga.

**Lifestyle updates: ate gluten today for the first time in about a month and I'm bloated and having lower back cramps like I used to. Not sure if this is a coincidence or what but maybe there is something to this gluten free thing (slightly dying inside as I say that because I love bread so much sad) Other than that I've been pretty good about sticking with the low carb, no gluten or sugar thing. I've tried out using xylitol has a sugar replacement in a mug-cake recipe and that was way better than stevia in my opinion. I read a study this week about migraines and chronic fatigue possibly being illnesses with similar origins and even linked which has given me some hope that maybe if I can manage my migraines with this lifestyle of eating then maybe the chronic fatigue will lessen too.

Hey there

Sounds like while despite a few things here and there, that you mostly did well and had a positive week?!

Sounds like you are still making positives choices and decisions towards your personal Health Goals, (including continuing better overall Physical and Emotional health and well-being). Through your diet changes, and exercise choices. And finding "joy" in new activity!

Doing well with continuing to keep up with your therapy and support groups is a good thing. And is great for continuing to offer you that ongoing personal support that you need.

Sounds like even though you have mixed feelings about the Thanksgiving holiday, that you are setting a good plan in motion for yourself to make your way through it and ultimately "enjoy" it. Starting off with a good workout and getting youru body and mind right that day is a good start. What I find even more surprising here is that there will be a class thats actually "open" for you to enjoy that day?!.. Usually everyone tends to close down that day. So thats another positive situation for you. And taking a break that day to simply enjoy the foods that you love can be also be a good thing mentally and emotionally.

We're sorry to hear that you are still struggling with some things, but that you are continuing to work your way through with the support of your groups. It can be challenge after a traumatic situations to regain your own life as well as your social life. But the great thing is that you are working and progressing towards it...... (I know you have mentioned this when you first started posting here, but I wanted to ask again to refresh my own memory)... If you don't mind my asking, who was it again that you stated had committed the suicide?... I 'm just so glad you are continuing to work through your loss.

As far as your "lifestyle updates"... its good that you are continuing to "weed through" what's working and whats NOT working for you!...And will continue to be able to make the smartest and best choices for yourself towards feeling better physically. (Just be really careful with the Xylitol.. because I know you said you have a dog, and its "posionous" for them) just incase you didn't know?.. You probably might've already known that... I tend to be on the clumsier side, so I won't even keep that stuff in my home...frown

Thank you so much for checking in this week and continuing to keep us updated on how you are doing and how things are continuing to go for you!

I had to leave work early..my whole body feels like I just ran a marathon..I am also shivering and bundled up in like 3 blankets..I also noticed that I gained weight. I am at 200 lbs now!!! I think my lipodemia is acting up again. my work jeans felt even tighter..and I noticed more fat on my thighs/hips. I hope I can kick this fever and be better for thanksigivng because I bought a ton of food for that. But not sure what I ate that made me my lipodemia kick in. There also fat on my legs as well which never happens....makes me feel worried.

Hey there...

Looks like you deactivated again for a little bit....

Sounds like you aren't feeling very well at the moment. Hopefully things will start to improve.. I went through it myself last week. I know its no fun for sure.

Hopefully things will calm down with your lipodemia as well. And that also, things will come together so that you will get a chance to enjoy all the food that you bought!

We will see you when you return. Thanks for checking in this week and continuing to keep us up to date on how you're doing.
