🌞 This past week was a "Mix"~... Last weekend on Saturday I got out to a few 3-day Spring festivals that were occurring through the weekend and had a great time.  The weather was "80-degrees" that day and felt amazing. It was like Summer -time! And a great day all around.... Sunday in a turn of events it rained all day, and there was also no Zumba class that day. However, I managed to put together a Home-workout and got it in.... And then had a relaxing day & evening indoors~.. Overall it was a pretty good weekend.

🌷 As the week started I got back on track with my usual work, classes, goals & intentions.... I kept up with appointments, activity, workouts, meal-planning/tracking....But, Hydration took a little nose dive this week. However, I did do well overall with my sleep goals (so one for another I suppose as I continue to work on those two)!... My Monday class was cancelled due to the weather, So another Home-workout to get it in!... And my Thursday class the Power went out at the start of class, so, we did class "In the Dark" by the "lights of the generator" that kicked-in the lights in the hallway!....At least I got it in... lol... The weather was also back to a little more seasonal and was slightly a little cooler than the 80degree weekend we had. But I still managed some great time outdoors with the Furbaby, & kept up with our afternoon walking goals as well. April Wellness goals have so far been off to a good start.

🌼This weekend ahead, intentions are for early Saturday morning Zumba to start off the day with activity.... And then two festivals afterwards. One is another Spring event, & the other is an Art Festival. I don't typically check those out, but thought I'd try something new since it'll be a nice Sunny day out, and its in an outdoor area that I love visiting~ Not to mention both are a great way to keep up with getting in some more steps throughout the day.... Sunday more Zumba early on to start the day, & then shopping afterwards in preparation for Easter dinner next weekend.~

Enjoy the Weekend~

@PoliteOcean Here's how the past week went. I used eye cream for the first time in about 4 months. Tuesday I had a massage. It went well. I also started to use Argan oil on my arms which makes me happy. They are so dry it's going to take a few more times to get them back to normal. I continue to be distressed over the idiocy of the people around me. Leslie lets CJ to hold her grandson baby Sifa. It's shows extreme lack of judgement on her part. I haven't been to Starbucks since November 2023. Thursday night I was starting to get nauseous right after I went to bed. I was very worried I might have to throw up. Leslie treated me horribly the last time I threw up. I was very worried about having to cancel my outing with Tunde on Friday. After much distress, I finally felt better. Friday Tunde took me to the library and then for a walk by the marina. My fungus is getting better. It doesn't itch and burn like it used to but the surface area doesn't seem to be going down much. For this upcoming week I have a massage appointment. It's the last time Tunde is going to work for me before he goes on vacation. Wednesday I have a therapy appointment with Jim. Thursday I have a telephone appointment with my bank. I'm not looking forward to it. The last time I went into a local branch it didn't go well. I asked several times to speak to an officer and they gave me to a product support specialist. The days when one could walk into a bank and give the branch manager a wink-wink and nod-nod are over with. Maybe after I become rich I can find a bank that gives premium service to high net worth customers.

@Regmo

Hey there Regmo~ It looks like you’ve been providing yourself an amazing amount of Selfcare time this week?! Between the eye cream, the Argan oil & the Massage, those are all great ways at taking care of yourself and supporting your wellness in some way. Keep up the good work… It’s good for you that despite not feeling well, that you were able to pull through, feel better, & not have to cancel your outing with Tunde. And even better you felt well enough to get to the library and for a walk… And Hopefully Tunde won’t be gone too long on his vacation. It sounds like you also have another busy week ahead with various appointments. Hopefully you find that won’t be “too taxing” for you…. And Ahh to be Rich! 🤑 They say money talks.. I suppose in a lot of cases it does these days?.. But Good luck with your upcoming appts and thanks for sharing your week. And Keep us updated on how things go..

🌞 Hey All, Welcome to the Weekend~ How are you today & How was your week?... What are your weekend plans ahead?  Good morning all.  My week was ok.  I got a lot accomplished at work, and am slowly ticking things off my spring to do list at home.  Weather isn't helping....it actually snowed all morning then switched to a wintry mix all afternoon yesterday....its all gone now, but just seeing it snow on April 12 is depressing enough...it has been very wet, damp, cloudy and dreary for the last two weeks........Still having trouble getting an after work routine....I'm sacrificing one thing for another....my online class, household chores and workouts being cycled through....I think what I need to do is just accept that....continue to cycle things as they come along, possibly make that my routine.... at this time I cannot get in a workout 5 or 6 days a week like I used to....I should accept 3 or 4 workouts a week, maybe less....accepting this is the hard part....I beat myself up and feel terrible when I miss.....I feel lazy.....but...with that said, a positive...I did manage a 60 min online spin class yesterday morning.....If I play my cards right, I think Saturday morning spin can be a regular thing.....My other ideas for workouts are super early before work, which I could do because I was getting up at 3am for all those years, but I somehow feel that is counter productive because I am finally on a "normal" schedule.....the other is after dinner before bed, but I have always used that time to wind down with my feet up, spend time with my girlfriend watching our shows and talking about our day and life....not sure I want to give that up right now.....are they excuses or are they good reasons?....not sure....

🌷 This is our "2nd" Check-in for the Month~... How are you doing in your overall well-being this week?...Overall well being is good.....What are some healthy or positive things that you've done for yourself this week that supported your wellness goals?!  When I took my new position, I knew I'd be behind a desk more....my weekly step count has gone way down since I started the first week of March.....this week, I got a desk riser in the hopes it will help to keep my backside out of my chair....

🌼 Think of a Movie or Show that you've watched (Past or Present)... Can you Name or recite One line or phrase that has either Motivated you, Resonated with you in some way, Or that keeps you going (Physically, mentally or emotionally) in times of challenges?!... (I'll start: From the Movie "Rocky 3".... "It ain't about how hard you hit, it's about how hard you get hit and keep moving forward")! That is a great quote.....

Timo Cruz from "Coach Carter" Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us.

🌞JUST FOR FUN:.. Can you Name "One" Song you know or like that mentions a "Food" in the Title or Lyrics"?! .... (I'll start: "Honey" By Mariah Carey)~ This seems to be a hard one for me this morning....I cannot answer this off the top of my head right now....

🌷What were your "Highlights Or Struggles" of the week?.... How were you able to work through your challenges in a Healthy Way?! Highlights, struggles....a little of both....nothing noteworthy or remarkable.....working through them the best I can

@CyclingThroughLife

Hey there Cycling~

Good to hear that overall you’re doing ok and that you’re accomplishing many various tasks on your Spring to-do list in spite of the uncooperative weather… (I remember when I lived up North how annoying it could be seeing wintery weather well into the Spring season.. I also recall once even getting snow flurries the first week of June right after getting out for our Summer break back in the 80s)!.. I think despite all of that, & trying to push through things, that you are human and doing as well as you can. It can definitely take time to fall into a routine that works for you & of course even when you get there, sometimes you may have to “shift” things yet again?!… But inevitably you will find what works best for you over time.

Great job to you on your 60min online Spin class! Definitely a positive! And Congrats for getting that time in for yourself! As far as making this a routine going forward I think that’s a wonderful idea! At least that is one day of the week down that you can set aside for yourself and make that “appointment”. As far as “sacrificing” your sleep, I think I agree with you that it might be counterproductive. We definitely need our sleep. I think that is even more important for us than meeting some workout-quota that we have set in our minds!…. And after dinner before bed could be a good idea… I know for me, even if that is “partner-time”, perhaps you could do a quick workout “together” during that time, and then finish the night off with one another afterwards? It doesn’t have to be everyday… perhaps starting with 1-2 nights, and see how it goes? Again, you will definitely find what “feels” best overall..

Amazing job on taking initiative to get yourself a desk riser!… You could also consider stepping in place and just lapping around the room or taking laps on your lunch break “when” doable & possible?! Great job & keep up the great work.

Also Great quote! That took some great thought! …Thanks for sharing that.

Great job to as well in continuing to do the best you can to work through the challenges & struggles.. while embracing the highlights. In the end that is all we can do each day. Nobody ever said we had to be perfect. (Thank goodness! lol) …

Thank you for sharing your week with us and letting us know how things are going for you. Please continue to keep us updated on things…. And good luck forward on finding what works best for you!

Hi! I'm going to jump right in with my favorite song about food 😆 "Eat It," by Weird Al Yankovic. It's a parody of "Beat It" by Michael Jackson.

I'm looking forward to a great week! I'm not sure what I'm doing this weekend. I'm pretty sure I'm going to church for Easter, either Saturday evening or Sunday morning.

Oh yes!! That’s a great choice! 😂… As someone who grew up in the 80s i can attest that is definitely a clever (parody of Beat It)! Lol..

That’s awesome that you will be attending Church for Easter  ✝️🐰🐣.. And We hope that you enjoy the Service this weekend ahead! 🙏🏼

Thank you for sharing with us this week! Please continue to let us know how you are doing! And how your Easter Church service went. :)

@PoliteOcean

Hi, Ocean,

Hey AllWelcome to the WeekendHow are you today & How was your week?... What are your weekend plans ahead?  I'm relaxed because I need a break.  I have a new job, and they need to do a background check and drug test, for which I need to be there for two hours Thursday at 9:30.

Friday morning I have an appointment with my professor at 9 am to prepare me to rewrite a paper I wrote this semester.

My current job which is ending on the 25th, has changed my schedule on different days.  So I'm keeping track of that.

I have to wait for about one week for the results of my background .  So I have that hanging over my head.

I have a paper due on next Monday.

I wanted to only have that to do for the next week, and put the finishing touches on two other papers.

My last day at the other job is thursday or next week, or is it friday.

I wanted to have closure.

Now I have all this.

Uck.  Now I decided that if at all possible, I am going to tell the new job that I need to give the old job two weeks notice, whether they like it or not.

I don't know what day they want me to start because we have to wait for the background check.

And I already gave two weeks notice, for the 24th, or is it the 25th.  I was trying to give the closest date to what I thought would be two weeks notice.  Now, no matter when my background check comes in, I am going to say that I  am giving two weeks notice, even if I don't work in my current job anymore.  (heavy breathe)

🌷 This is our "2nd" Check-in for the Month~... How are you doing in your overall well-being this week?... What are some healthy or positive things that you've done for yourself this week that supported your wellness goals?!  I was actually able to relax this week, believe it or not.  I'm so relaxed about having the finances to graduate.  So, even with all this chaos in my life this week, my chest doesn't feel tight and I was humming on my way home today.  I've been keeping up with prayers and working out...except for tonight.  I am giving myself a break tonight.

🌼 Think of a Movie or Show that you've watched (Past or Present)... Can you Name or recite One line or phrase that has either Motivated youResonated with you in some wayOr that keeps you going (Physically, mentally or emotionally) in times of challenges?!... (I'll start: From the Movie "Rocky 3".... "It ain't about how hard you hit, it's about how hard you get hit and keep moving forward")!   No, I'm sorry, but there is no more room in my brain to think about lots of movies and shows, and I say that with all due respect.

🌞JUST FOR FUN:.. Can you Name "One" Song you know or like that mentions a "Food" in the Title or Lyrics"?! .... (I'll start: "Honey" By Mariah Carey)~  I can't do that right now.

🌷What were your "Highlights Or Struggles" of the week?.... How were you able to work through your challenges in a Healthy Way?!  I just pushed through all of it because I have to.

@purpleTree4652

Hey there Tree~

It definitely seems and sounds like you have been quite busy… and that you also have a lot going on & to prepare for ahead between the new job and your school work.

Considering that you were feeling rather miserable with your situations at your previous job it’s commendable that you want to give them a “notice” that you will be leaving… Definitely best to not leave any burned bridges and to leave a job on a decent note… And it’s definitely a good thing to Tell your pending “new” employer that you desire to do so as soon as possible so that both have a heads up in your intentions.

I think it’s wonderful for you that you are feeling in a better place now with how things are going with everything. And It’s definitely good to feel relaxed & give yourself done quiet time… and even better that you are continuing to keep up with your prayer life as well as with working out! Keep up the awesome work there on both of those things!… Having a good spiritual life and spiritual relationship while also taking care of yourself physically can certainly help in challenging times… And in allowing all the chaos to inevitably fade~

Good for you in figuring out everything with your finances for school & in getting a new job.. both things that you’ve stressed about for a long period of time… And for also continuing to push through & work through the struggles & challenging times. And you’re right in that sometimes we “just have to”… But, it helps in knowing that if we were able to do it before, that we can do it again as we continue to go forward. Again keep up the great work.

And thank you for keeping us updated on how things worked out and how they are continuing to come along. And Please continue to let us know how everything is going!

🌞 Hey everyone! Happy almost weekend 🌿✨ I’m feeling pretty good today — the weather's finally warming up where I am and it’s giving me a little boost of motivation. My week was a mix of busy and restful, and this weekend I plan to take it slow, maybe go for a walk and catch up on reading 📖.

🌷 For our 2nd check-in this month, I’ve been focusing a lot on regulating my nervous system — doing things like deep breathing before bed, journaling in the mornings, and stretching throughout the day. One healthy habit I kept this week was turning off screens earlier at night to get better sleep 😴💤.

🌼 Movie quote that keeps me going: "Even the darkest night will end and the sun will rise."Les Misérables. It's a gentle reminder that tough times always pass, and brighter days are ahead 🌅.

🎵 Just for fun — A song with food? “Strawberry Fields Forever” by The Beatles. You can probably already tell from my username that I love strawberries! 🍓✨

🌷 Highlight of the week: I had a meaningful talk with a close friend that helped me reflect on how far I’ve come emotionally.

⛈️ Struggle of the week: Feeling overwhelmed with responsibilities — but I managed it by breaking things into small steps and taking breaks when needed 🧘‍♀️

🌼 Something I want to share — I’ve been thinking a lot lately about how healing can be nonlinear. You can have a rough day and still be making progress. So if you're having one of those dips, be gentle with yourself 💛

Can’t wait to hear what everyone else shares 🌿

@StrawberryHufflepuff

Hey there Strawberry 🍓👋🏼

How wonderful of you to share with us this week!… That’s great for you that you are feeling good & enjoying the weather you are having, (I certainly am too!).. And you’re right, it definitely gives a boost of motivation! ….I also think it’s great when we have a good “mix” of things in our week that keep us both just the right amount of busy enough as well as time for relaxation~ It also sounds like you  have some great plans ahead for the weekend (as those sound quite a bit like the plans I have for myself too)! 😉

We think it’s awesome that you are continuing to work on yourself as you continue to move through this month, (by working on & doing things to help regulate your nervous system)! Sounds like you have quite an amazing list there! And also doing a great job on yourself?! Continue to keep up the great work you are doing and putting in! 👍🏼👏🏼

ahhh.. I love your movie quote! That’s actually a really good one. And agreed, it’s certainly a gentle reminder during challenging times. ❤️

Ha! I love your “song choice”! And I absolutely Love the Beatles! 🎶 Great choice!

Despite your struggles of the week, it’s certainly great that you were able to manage things by taking small steps & breaks when needed… As well as having such a wonderful friend in your life that you can turn to & have meaningful talks with & share emotions with. I’m sure it’s certainly helpful as well as beneficial to you to have her in your corner!

I love your insights… and I’m sure we have all been there in having to heal from something in our own ways. And yes it’s definitely nonlinear~ Being gentle with ourselves (as well as showing ourselves some compassion during that process) is definitely a great suggestion! Thank you for sharing!

What a wonderful & positive check in for you this week~ You are really doing an awesome job through both any highs or lows! It sounds like you are quite a resilient person?! And we appreciate you sharing with us this week!

Please continue to keep us updated and let us know how you are continuing to do & how things are going for you!
