🐰 This past week really seemed to go by fast....It felt like a "blink & you missed it" kind of week....Which was Fine with me as I've been looking forwards to this weekend ahead....But I did manage to stay on track this week, & keep up with all my goals & efforts. And sleep wasn't too shabby this week either.

🌞 This week was a mix where the weather was concerned, but I kept up with all my Workouts, activities, Group fitness classes, and managed to get outdoors of course when weather permitted. I had alot of errands to take care of & keep up with this week (phone-calls, appointments, getting ready for the holiday etc...etc..). So this past week really seemed to keep me on my toes and kept me busy and moving.......One day I even managed to make 20,000 steps for the day that I was so busy.... But it was nice that the week kept moving along quickly, as this weekend the weather is supposed to be Very nice & mild again with lots of Sunshine and I'm looking forwards to getting out and about & time with family.

🌺 This weekend will seem busy as well, but in a good way.... Saturday morning intentions are to get a quick workout in to start the day off... Then fit in a few more quick errands. Then we are taking off for a little Road-trip for the day to enjoy some sight-seeing and a few stops that I'm looking forwards to along the way. And some dinner & movie night.... Sunday will be spent at my parents for Easter dinner. I always enjoy coming together with my little family.

@PoliteOcean Sounds like you had an enjoyable weekend! It's good to hear you were able to spend some quality time with your folks. Going out for dinner & a movie sounds swell as well! 😊 Can relate to the busy phone calls...Just trying to finish applications for myself and appointments for both little one and myself. It's busy, busy, busy. Dang!! 20,000 steps!? That's a lot! But that is also very good, getting a workout with that! Hope you are doing OK, it's been awhile. ✨

Best wishes🌟,

What were your "Highlights Or Struggles" of the week?.... How were you able to work through your challenges?!

Earlier this week I was feeling pretty sad and discouraged because I felt like I wasn't smart. I am smart but I take a lot of time and it made me feel like I wasn't. I kind of sunk down somewhere and beat myself up about how I always need time. Whether it's school or doing daily tasks. I get burnt out so easily and usually need quite a bit of time to recover.

Amidst my sorrow I decided to do something for me. With school my parents kind of dominate my choices and I don't really get a say and I know that. My goal was always to wait it out until I'm old enough to move out and then do all the things I want to do. However, time is flying by and I'm still stuck in my house. So, I said why wait to do what I want. Why can't I focus on myself now? That's what I did. I'm working out more, eating healthier, trying to kickstart my little business and better my mental health. Is it a lot, no. But it's the little things that are helping me right now.

@JollyRacher

Hey there~

It’s so nice to see you stop by this week to share with us….

Sorry to hear that it was a challenging & discouraging week for you with moments of sadness…. All of us have what we feel may be our “weaknesses”, but it certainly doesn’t mean that we are “less than” because of them. And to be able to admit that we have things about us that make us feel inferior at times is a huge step in being able to overcome those things!

It’s also ok to need help, ask for help, and take time to recover wherever needed. And I think it’s pretty wonderful that you took the time to do something for yourself. And Focus on yourself. We definitely need to do that for ourselves, And incorporate self care when needed.

It’s awesome that you are taking the time to workout, eat healthier, bettering your mental health, and trying to kickstart a business! All of those are pretty amazing things! Keep up the great job that you are doing and putting in there!

And by the way, it “IS” ALOT! Every step you take towards bettering yourself in some way is a huge deal. Whether it’s a big step, a small step, at least you took the step! And it ALL adds up in the end to a better (and healthier) “You”! So keep going & don’t give up. We are here to support you & your efforts.

Thank you for checking in this week and sharing with us. And letting us know how things are going for you. Please continue to keep us updated.

@PoliteOcean Here's how the past week went. Alan moved back in a week ago on Saturday night. So far he hasn't watched any of his stupid TV shows. I'm not going to let him. I went to the library 2 times and went for a walk 3 times. It's really difficult adjusting to so many different libraries in such a short time. There were two times I wanted to go for a walk but had to cancel it because it was raining. Monday morning Stuart left blood stains on the floor of the bathroom from his foot. Wednesday I mailed Easter cards to my relatives. Thursday I went to a specialist to have him look at my jaw, but he wasn't very helpful. I've been getting my breakfast but the times are still really inconsistent. For this upcoming week, on Tuesday I'm going to try to go to one of the local libraries and play chess. I also decided I'm going to buy a new sweater for myself.

@Regmo

Hey Regmo~ I can see you are still feeling the issues with Alan. Perhaps staying away from him when you can or as much as you can could help some of those issues…(although I know thats not always possible)… But it’s a good & positive thing that you are continuing to get out to the library as well as keeping up with your walks. It’s also a good way to get away from the people in the household that you don’t care for. And As well, a good way to continue to keep up with getting out in the fresh air when the weather permits & maintaining physical activity. It was also a good & positive thing to focus some energy on sending out Easter cards to your relatives. I’m sure it made you feel good & I’m sure it will give them some positive vibes as well to receive them. On another note, that’s too bad that the specialist couldn’t help you. Hopefully he was thorough with his consult and explained why he couldn’t help. Or even better give you a referral to someone who might be able to help you. It’s nice that you are getting your breakfast despite the inconsistent timing. Hopefully for you that will continue to get better as well. I think it’s also great that you are putting in time to focus on & plan your week ahead with some fun activity (with a chess♟ game), as well as treating yourself to a new sweater. It’s always nice to treat ourselves when we can & are able to do so. And it makes us feel good too. Nice job at all the positive work & efforts you’ve been making & doing for yourself. Continue to keep up the good work and thanks for checking in to share your week. And Please continue to keep us updated on things.

Happy Easter, Ocean!

FEEL FREE TO ANSWER ANY OR ALL QUESTIONS! Or Simply tell us about yourself and how you've been doing! Feel free to share or Vent about your week~ We are here to listen!

🐰 Hey Everyone~ How have you been doing this week?.... And How did your week go for you?  It's been a wicked week.  I got sick from an increased prescription.  Left work early and took the next day off.

Got less than 24 hours notice that my apartment was going to be fumigated the next morning.  I had to find a hotel that would take my cat, Chloe, and I.  Luckily I took the room for two days because they kept increasing how long i needed to stay out of my apt for the fumigation.

I also got good news that I had an interview on friday and my hiring packet was sent to the hiring mgr for another job.  So, good news, but another kind of stress.

During the Friday interview, I was told I got the job.

I handled it all heroically.

🌞 This is our "LAST" Check-in for the month March.... This month has truly flown by so fast!~.... How do you feel this past month went for you personally overall?... What do you feel was the MOST Positive Highlight of this month for you?

It's been a rough month.  I got the job, but it's been stressful.

🌺 This weekend many of us will celebrate the "EASTER" holiday~ (Even if you don't celebrate this holiday in any traditional sense), what are your plans for this day (& the weekend ahead)?!  I love our Lord.  I've prayed this weekend when I saw something that reminded me of our Lord.  And I'll pray tomorrow in thanks and joy.  I'm also watching a great documentary on Netflix about Moses.  It's really well done and gives words and thoughts from Islam, Catholics, Baptists and more.  You should give it a try.

🐰 JUST FOR FUN:... NAME 3 THINGS that you'd like to see in your "Easter Basket"!  Ozempic, a calzone, and a cookie.

🌞 What were your "Highlights Or Struggles" of the week?.... How were you able to work through your challenges?!  Please see my answer to the above questions.

Hey there Tree! Thank you! And Happy Easter to you too!! 🐰 🐇 🐣 🙏🏼 🙌🏼

Oh no… so sorry to hear that you had such a “wicked” week. I do remember the whole ordeal last week regarding your prescription. I hope that situation is getting better for you?! How are you feeling?

Ugh.. I can imagine what an inconvenience it must’ve been to have to get a hotel (especially with your furbaby). I hope that those who notified you were also the ones “paying” for that inconvenience (as in paying for your hotel stay)!?! You should not have had to come out the pocket for that!

Also that is absolutely great news for you about the interview!! Awesome! (Although I can understand the added “stress” of it). But omg Congrats to you on getting the job!! 🎈🎊🍾🎉 Amazing news for you!! How do you feel?!!!

(Hopefully that news has taken away “some” of those stressors for you)??!

Oh my.. it sounds like you have quite a lovely Weekend planned with THE ONE who truly matters most! 🙏🏼🙌🏼 I hope you enjoy it to the fullest!

Haha… Ozempiec (I love it)… as that would certainly be a treat to find with as expensive as that thing is without insurance! … A Calzone (yum & What’s in it)?! … And a cookie! (What kind/flavor)?!

Great responses and quite a great checkin for you today! At least I think it is?! What a huge difference the end of this month is for you. You are heading in a good direction Tree. Please keep us updated on things and on everything with the new job! 🙏🏼🎉👍🏼

And thank you for sharing your week with us. Breathe now my friend & Enjoy your Holiday :)

@PoliteOcean

Hi, again, my friend,

I'm feeling better now that I am cutting the pills in half.  It kind of worries me that a pill can have such a huge impact on me.  But at half the strength, it is helping a lot with depression.  It's called rexulti.

No, the apartment community is not paying the $300 for the hotel.  They "claim" they tried to get in touch with me before I got the note at 2pm that needed me to be out of the apartment at 7am the next day.  They are not giving in.  I told them I am moving as soon as I find a better apt.

I feel great about the job, but also a little unsure.  It is the old "imposter" feeling.  I'm amazing about the level of the job and think I can do it, but am not sure.  I just hope I have the skills.  I've been told that people who have this job go on to great things.  I'll tell you about it in a pm.

It has taken stress off my shoulders.

The one who truly matters most!  I love it.

The calzone would be a buffalo chicken with hot spices and cheese.  They sell them at aldi and they're delicious.  The cookie would be a big chocolate chip cookie.

 Breathe now my friend & Enjoy your Holiday :) You always know what to say to me.  That means so much.

I hope you have a great Easter!

xo, tree

You got a job? Awesome! I am so happy for you.

I was quite glad to see your name again.

It sounds like things are settling down for you in spite of the fumigation issues. You still have your cat and you are living independently. Those are all great accomplishments. You are doing so well for yourself. @purpleTree4652

Hey Everyone~ How have you been doing this week?.... And How did your week go for you? It has went okay for the most part, however it ended up good regardless.

🌞 This is our "LAST" Check-in for the month March.... This month has truly flown by so fast!~.... How do you feel this past month went for you personally overall?... What do you feel was the MOST Positive Highlight of this month for you? I feel that this month, I have undergone a lot of transformation and the most positive highlight is that my fiancée an I are planning on adding a fur baby to the mix.

🌺 This weekend many of us will celebrate the "EASTER" holiday~ (Even if you don't celebrate this holiday in any traditional sense), what are your plans for this day (& the weekend ahead)?!  Well today we are doing an Easter egg hunt after church service today!

🐰 JUST FOR FUN:... NAME 3 THINGS that you'd like to see in your "Easter Basket"!

1. Marriage License

2. Wedding Dress

3. Honey moon money XD

🌞 What were your "Highlights Or Struggles" of the week?.... How were you able to work through your challenges?! Let's start off with the positives, my fiancée and I have decided on a color for our smallish wedding, we have picked out a venue, and we have decided that if are going to be half in our lives, they do not get an invitation to a special chapter change.  Another positive is that yesterday, we went to the animal rescue place and started filling out applications for our new furry baby/ fur sibling for our daughter. The struggles, my fiancée and I have bumped heads quite a bit recently, and I feel it's because he can be stubborn, due to past experiences he feels that deflection is the best way to combat issues when it is not. Another struggle has been my fiancée not listening to the words I am saying but making extreme assumptions. Although it has been hard lately we are still a team, and we have worked through the rocky moments together.

🌸 What is something that "YOU" want to talk about, add or share with us this week?! ....WE want to hear from YOU!~ When it comes to just me, I have started to block/remove people on a social app who are nosey but do not want to reach out to me. I understand we are all human beings going through experiences, however it takes 5 minutes to reach out to me. Of course, this is part of the detachment steps that I am following, because I have done my part reaching out, waiting the appropriate amount of days/months, and then slowly backing away now I am removing. Yes we all go through things, however, I am not an emotional doormat for those to wipe their feet on then just leave again.

@InsightfulPhoenix

Hey I.P.~

That’s good for you that overall for the most part that things ended up going good for you and your week.

It’s also a good thing that you are seemingly feeling overall positive about the Month of March…. and how wonderful that you are planning to add a Furbaby to the mix of things! They surely can be such a delight and offer such amazing joy and comfort to a home. What kind of furbaby will you be getting?

Looks like your “Easter basket” would certainly be filled & complete for a wonderful wedding & honeymoon ahead! ;)

Sounds like you have been having some Relationship challenges & struggles which of course is normal & human…. It’s definitely best to get those things nipped in the bud before you decide to get married. The last thing you’d want to do is take those struggles into the marriage without having found a “healthy” way to talk them over and deal with them head on. Perhaps since you are both in a church you could talk to your pastor about those struggles & the things you both feel have been a challenge before the Big day gets here?!…. So that you have a chance to work on them & work through them in a mutual setting? Just a thought?… But in the meantime it’s great that you are choosing & ironing out the small details and agreeing on those details about the things you both desire for your wedding planning.

It’s also great that you are continuing to work on your self improvement and eliminating things & situations that you feel aren’t serving any positive purpose for you…. Sometimes we just have to do that. Just as others may have to do with us as well…. I suppose it’s a circle of life type of thing where we just all have to make the choices  to decide what we want to deal with & put up with compared to what we don’t. Whether it’s an easy thing to do or not.

But good job to you on the continued positives. And thank you for taking the time to stop by and share your week with us! Please continue to keep us updated on everything. Can’t wait to hear more about the “Furbaby” !

The furbaby that we are planning to get is a dog, and we are hoping for any that will pass the cat test. Which ever dog god has in mind for us, is what we will be happy with!

Also yes I agree to nip the issues in the bud before the big wedding day, which for the most part has. We are slowly but sure getting to a better side. It takes time but progress is progress, and that would be an awesome idea to talk to the pastor about struggles in pre-weds/newly weds. I feel that it's more of the pre-wedding jitters hitting us both already (which again is normal and valid)

Of course my easter basket is the completely wedding edition 🤣

I have so much positive vibes for the ongoing months and my little family an I are going to be good! 🌺❤️

🐰 Hey Everyone~ How have you been doing this week?.... And How did your week go for you?

To be honest, I have mostly been feeling morose and even took close to a month long break from 7cups to try and focus on some things going on in life, but alas, I'm back. Maybe 7cups can help me get back on track?

🌞 This is our "LAST" Check-in for the month March.... This month has truly flown by so fast!~.... How do you feel this past month went for you personally overall?... What do you feel was the MOST Positive Highlight of this month for you?

Hmm...I'm not sure how to feel about March. It just felt like it went by very fast. I feel somewhat...neutral about it. The most positive thing about this month is that I'm cooking more often and bonding a bit more with son (though, I wish I could do more fun activities, my chronic pain prevents me from doing much...even a walk to the park gives me awful chest/rib pain, so I have to be careful).
🌺 This weekend many of us will celebrate the "EASTER" holiday~ (Even if you don't celebrate this holiday in any traditional sense), what are your plans for this day (& the weekend ahead)?!

Looks like I'm too late to answer this haha. I did not even know when Easter would come and asked partner. I don't particularly celebrate any holidays, but have tried to for son, though we only do holidays such as Halloween and Christmas.

🐰 JUST FOR FUN:... NAME 3 THINGS that you'd like to see in your "Easter Basket"!

I don't really know what people do for Easter...I'm sorry.

🌞 What were your "Highlights Or Struggles" of the week?.... How were you able to work through your challenges?!

Struggles: Still dealing with the ongoing applications for cash assistance and childcare. Struggling financially still, procrastinating on real estate classes since forever as...my medical issues are awful. The day before yesterday, I was bedridden and couldn't even get up in the morning and felt bad, as I needed to feed son. I had him get a snack until I recovered enough to make him a meal to eat. The pain is unbearable.

Highlights: Son was recently diagnosed with autism AND I have received some great school recommendations. I hope to put him in a program to better understand and assist him. He's been going to speech therapy, but with new school, he would have help with diagnose and have speech therapy too. I am also going to try a different method to get back into focusing on the online real estate classes, maybe time-block my schedule? I'll set aside 3hours out of my day to do it, then move it up to 6, then finally 8 until I get used to it. I'm thinking of using 7cups on a separate forum to use as a "habit tracking" journal of some sort to keep myself accountable. If not on here, then probably on a personal journal to record my progress. Even if I am unable to work, I would feel much safer being licensed and having it as back up if I needed to work based on circumstances.

🌸 What is something that "YOU" want to talk about, add or share with us this week?! ....WE want to hear from YOU!~

Uhm...I haven't really been social much in real life, but have found more comfort in making friends online. I want to break that wall I put up as a self-defense mechanism. I'm also moving out of this city soon! I'm very excited about that. I will be moving to the city my (long distance) partner is currently at. He finished his classes and is licensed in the field he chose and mentioned he is planning on getting a 2bd apartment for both son & I to move in with him. The soonest I will move is during this month, but at the latest will be sometime in the summer when my lease ends. I just need to focus and work hard on these classes. I want to be a supportive partner as well and do my best for the family and provide when I can.

@ImpudentIncognito

Hey there I.C.! It’s so lovely to see you this week. (And btw Thank you so much for such a sweet & kind reply above and your support)! I greatly appreciate the kind words. ❤️  …And yes it sure has been awhile! I’ve been thinking about you and wondering how you’ve been doing and how things have been going for you?!

I think you did a great thing by giving yourself what you needed & taking a break…. It can be hard to take breaks from things we are so used to doing. (For me it’s social media) … but it’s wonderful that you took the time to place your focus & energy on other things in your life that needed tended to. And we certainly hope that now that you are back, that you can get back on track as you desire! We are surely here for you at 7cups.

I think “Neutral” is always a nice, safe word to describe things. That even if they weren’t spectacular, that it wasn’t all bad either! So that’s the positive in it….

How nice that you seem to be finding enjoyment in cooking more! (I have an envy for ppl that cook as it’s not something I care to do)! lol … I prefer simple things I can throw together quickly. …so that’s good for you! What things have you enjoyed making & cooking?!

Im sorry to hear that you are still dealing with the Chronic pain… I know I don’t mention it much here, but that’s another thing we have in common. (As I’ve had ongoing issues with my knees for quite some time)… so I can understand you wanting to be careful and take caution and not push yourself too much! (Something I need to be mindful of as well). You are doing the right thing for yourself.

I can also understand only celebrating the “bigger” more major holidays (Christmas etc…). So I get it…. Not everyone celebrated Easter and that’s Ok! ….Maybe next year you can decorate some Easter eggs or cookies with your kiddo?! He might enjoy that? I miss doing that with mine. But it definitely creates some fun, fond memories & bonding time!

I’m so sorry to hear for you that your struggles are still ongoing with the assistance that you need. I hope those Situations continue to work themselves out.  Things usually do even if not in our personal timeframe, but they will. As far as the pain, trust me when I say I do understand. Some days I have to push through mine as well. You did the right thing at the time with your son… If he is able to get a snack to tide him over until a meal can be made, then that is great for you both. That’s the beauty of children growing & becoming more independent, Is that they can handle those small tasks!...

I think it’s a good thing that you have a diagnosis for your son which now enables you both to get the help, recommendations, & assistance needed. As I believe I stated before, my son also had to get speech therapy as a young boy. And it will be a great help to you both…. Also I think it’s wonderful that you are looking at ways to get back to working on your goals for the online real estate classes! And it sounds like you have a great method that could work for you and creating a lot steps to get you there! You can do this! And when there’s a “Will” there’s always a “Way”! Keep going, you’ve got this. You always have!!

I think many of us have been in certain situations at some point in our lives that cause us to shut down, and put up Walls & barriers regarding others in our lives…. Making online friendships & connecting with others in that way can be comforting during those times. There’s certainly nothing wrong with that. That’s actually what brought me here to 7cups!… I think it’s awesome that you are feeling ready to break the walls you feel are there. And how amazing for you that you will be getting ready to transition to a new place, and be closer to your partner. I’m sure it will feel good to have that added comfort and support system.

It sounds like you are continuing to get to a better place for yourself. And making such great strides to do so despite any struggles. And we are here to continue to support you. You are doing a great job I.C.!

And it’s been great to hear from you. Thank you for checking in and sharing with us. And please continue to us updated on everything!
