Aging and Self Care
We are all going to be old if we live long enough.
Do you really believe we need to start taking care of our body and mind at an early age and why?
Does it make sense starting self care, exercising our brains if we're older already or is there a age limit?

I believe it is important to start practice self-care early in your life because it will allow you to train yourself to treat yourself with respect, which is important for overcoming stressful situations.
However, in whatever step of life your in, it isn't too late to practice self-care! ![]()
@amiablePeace77 I think if we act old and sit in a chair or lay in bed all day and do nothing, we get old quicker. I am not suggesting by being active that we will not get old, but we do not have to act old and helpless. I think we become what we practice so for me this is being active and setting goals, even small ones for myself.
@amiablePeace77
That's really awesome post!! Loved the quote ❤😃
I really believe that we need to start taking care of our body and mind at an early age because it would be helpful in the future time especially in the old age. It would keep us healthy physically as well as mentally. And it would be good habit to do self care from young age. And there is no age limit for doing anything. You are never too old to begin or to learn something. So have fun ❤😃
@LovetoGod
Starting good habits makes a better future.
@amiablePeace77
Yeah ❤😃
I believe 💯 👍 that our body/health is our most precious treasure and the Abode of the Divine.
The sooner we start caring and nurturing it the better.
Old age hits us like bolt because we are not prepared for it having neglected our health and well-being and taken it too casually. We give so much attention to financial investment but not to investing in ourselves, our body, which we abuse with indiscipline
And ignorance.
Not to late to start today with :
@Healthy and mindful eating.
@Physical exercise.
@Meditation.
@Breathing exercises.
@Positive mental thinking.
@Mind games.

Thanks for sharing these helpful points. Neglect often makes it harder to balance later. Starting early makes it easier later on.
Yes it sure does.
Do you really believe we need to start taking care of our body and mind at an early age and why?
Does it make sense starting self care, exercising our brains if we're older already or is there a age limit?
1. Yes, absolutley we need to both LEARN how and to practice taking care of our minds and body - starting at an early age. We can then accrue the tools we need to healhfully navigate our world. And if we are attentive to our bodies starting early, we are less likley to have to deal with illnesses or disease that stem from lifestyle choice.
2. Excercisinng our minds is something to do at ANY age. There old idea that the brain stops learning or making new nueralpathways as we age has been proven untrue ( correct me if i mispoke in any way) so the benefit is there, reguardless of age!

@blissedNblessed
Yes, that's so true. It's called neuroplasticity.
@amiablePeace77
I absolutely believe we need to get into the good habit of taking care of ourselves at an early age, especially when it comes to our physical health. Getting in healthy diet and exercise may ultimately lower the liklihood of getting serious diseases when you get older. Of course you can start a healthy lifestyle at any age too.
I also believe getting in a good amount of greemery throughout your day can be important for managing stress and anxiety. What I mean by that is being around some sort of green space, even if it's a small lot in the city somewhere. Being outside more can generally make us feel better.
@cafedaydreams
Yes, I have read some research (I may be misremembering the exact details), but basically that recovering opiate addicts who spend more than 2 hours in nature a week are less likely to relapse. I really do believe it is so healing.
I believe our selves are the most precious things and seldom we believe it. Doing self care at any age is a beautiful gift to ourselves. I learned early to love and take care of myself inside and out. At the beginning, I didn’t understand because I was a child, but at my age now, I am so thankful for that wisdom. Taking care of me has made my life and experiences better. Also, it helps me to better support people I love and cherish so much. I’m learning to better love myself these days. It’s a difficult journey to truly love myself and to love myself again after being broken down, but I feel like once I began it, it becomes less difficult and easier to do the care I need for myself.
I don’t think it’s ever late, whether starting early and having that amazing memory to look back on or starting now, and being so proud of your growth. Self care is important.
@amiablePeace77
Do you really believe we need to start taking care of our body and mind at an early age and why? Yes - because behaviors at a young age mean more likelihood that they behavior is encouraged.
Does it make sense starting self care, exercising our brains if we're older already or is there a age limit? I do not think there is an age limit
