★ What are some things we should avoid taking for granted? ★
Hello Mindful Pals!!!
Hopefully all is well at your end.
So, today I am here with a thought to share with you.
We all have this habit of taking things for granted. As humans we tend to do so. But, not all things are for granted. Things could change, can be modified or fade away with the time?
So, my question to everyone is:
"What are some of the small things that we generally take for granted but one shouldn't?"

When we are blessed with good health we can take this for granted. I am reminded most days on 7 cups that not everyone has this good fortune. I intend to ensure that my health is not taken for granted by doing the following;
eat well - good wholesome fuel for my body,
exercise - even just a gentle walk each day,
and sleep - precious sleep to allow my body to refresh, repair and serve me well again the next day.
Time and health
breathing ( asthma sucks)
walking ( broke my ankle 2x)
speaking
being able to type
7 cups
having a place to live
having a place to sleep
having enough money to pay bils and needs
electricity
freedom
joy ( depression robs us of that)
concentration
ability to read
ability to write
cell phones
internet
@blissedNblessed water, a glass, a shower, silence, ...
@ASilentObserver
HIya there Silent thank you for this today. As I have been thinking on looking-sounding ungrateful. Yes we all do it, weather we know it or not-WE DO IT. It's alright tho, and can definately be more observed to change this. But I guess what I see more and more is many not being grateful for peoples time and dedication.....
The ability to do basic needs such as brush teeth, shower, eat, hydrate, file nails, daily chores and so forth. I used to take those for granted until I hit a point in my life that I was unable to do them for a time.
drinking clean water
not having to wear a mask to breathe because the air is too polluted
having electricity or gas to cook
being able to walk without that our feet hurt
@ASilentObserver
I'd say mostly I always take myself for granted. I care for others while im not caring for myself at all.
@ASilentObserver it is too easy to take people close to us for granted. We can find out too late when they are gone that we could have appreciated them more.
Loved to hear those lovely inputs from you. So, it seems like we all tend to take some or other things for granted. Whether people, oneself, nature, or anything.
So, probably we could pause for a minute, think about it and try to embrace and value them??
What do you think?
@ASilentObserver gratitude for what we have is a great way to celebrate life.
