It was my first day of work at McDonald by myself without a trainer, and I am still learning the P.O.S system. Then a man came and ordered, I couldn't find what he was looking for but I was trying my hardest to help him. I ended up asking for help so he wouldn't have to wait for long, then he goes "why would they hire someone like this?" He tried to say it in a way to make me look real bad, but then the girl that I asked help for stood up for me. She told him, "It's her first day and it is hard to know the system that fast". Then he shuts up, but I was just too shocked that someone can be that rude to a person helping. All my co-workers told me not to worry about and they all encouraged me. They were all impressed that it was my first day, and told me I did a great job. I know I should be expecting alot more shitty customers lmaoo, I guess I learnt it the hard way on my first day.

What I liked about the forgiveness course is it's emphasis on the value of forgiveness. It acknowledged how difficult the act can be, and provided an example of how devestating the wave of empathy can be when it arrives in particularly difficult circumstances. I count it as a blessing that my obstacles are so small, and my hopes are with people who are trying to forgive, while my sympathies lie with people who are so traumatized they simply can't forgive.
I am thinking how our sense of justice can tie us into unhealthy Gordian knots we must simply cut instead of futilely trying to untie them.
