Every year, we announce our PB Award Winner. The PB Award is the special award and the highest honor that is given to a community leader every year who has gone above and beyond to believe in the mission of 7 Cups and support the community.
This year the following community leaders have received the PB Award:

Congratulations! You have been one of the most consistent leaders on 7 Cups. Thank you for your years of hard and consistent work. You care deeply about the people you lead, and you are often seen lifting others. You have something good to say about almost everyone! Any role you take on, you do so with great responsibility and accountability. You practically lead yourself!
You have made a significant impact as a leader and as a human being. You improve everything you lead and do so with such grace and humility. You are always open to new ideas and welcome change, which is a hard skill to master. You are one of the best examples of service leadership. We are grateful to have you with us. The work you have done in the community speaks for itself. Your thoughtful forum responses have not gone unnoticed. You have a way of building others up. It has been an absolute pleasure working with you in any capacity. What a gift it is to have you in our community!

Both mean a lot coming from a person I admire so much, who has contributed hugely to mitigate human suffering through brilliant design and complete personal commitment, which brought 7 Cups to life and keeps it thriving.
I love 7 Cups, and I guess that might make me think about Cups from different angles, like if you love a person or a country. And I love all fellow Cupsers. They are all family to me.
I try to do my best within the many constraints most people have. Like many, many people here. But it’s nothing spectacular really. So this was totally unexpected and a wonderful surprise. A great responsibility too, like “failure is not an option” from now on…

Congratulations @AuroraAstral, I have learned many things from you, some of the information has been less than desirable (like you can microwave chicken nuggets). It makes a lot of sense for one of the biggest cookie advocates to win the teen side PB award! You have represented the teens well, especially in matters of taste!

This was a wonderful and unexpected surprise. I don’t see myself in the same league as the previous recipients of this prestigious PB Award, and other great contributors to 7 Cups whom I greatly admire.
I am hugely grateful to those who decided to award me this recognition, and because I trust their judgment, it made a great impact on me, and makes me see myself in a new light. I am still processing this…
I think the value of a recognition is in the people who decide to award it, and in the field of contribution that is recognized. When a prize is awarded in any field, I think “Who decided it? For what kind of contribution?”. Writing a superb book or discovering a subatomic particle are great achievements, but mitigating human suffering is way more important, I think.
And who has enough authority in the field to decide on the award? In this case, those who (I believe) were most involved in this decision: Glen, Heather, Hope, and also Obs, Ayesha, tommy, Bookworm and some others who I think were consulted as well, all devoted their lives to create, grow and make work a community that has mitigated human suffering at a vast scale. I greatly admire you all, and I am immensely grateful to all of you.
I value so much this recognition because it is your recognition, for a contribution to a most noble cause. I have known many many personal stories of people who have found in 7 Cups the life-changing support they badly needed and couldn't find anywhere else. Confidentiality doesn't allow us to tell the world the many life stories that make 7 Cups so immensely valuable. But we do know.
So a recognition for contributing to such a noble cause in this hugely valuable community is something big, very big to me. I can’t remember feeling so appreciated in this way in all my life.
I want to extend this recognition to all the people in 7 Cups who do their best to fulfill the responsibilities of their roles. Thankfully, there are many, many of them. Dozens of names come to my mind right now. Many already know about my admiration for their work. I extend this recognition to all of them.
Thank you again for this recognition, which makes me feel so happy, and inspires me to work harder serving the 7 Cups community, to be truly deserving of this most prestigious PB Award!

I feel very proud of many things I have done in Cups, and my work here is very rewarding.
So at a personal level, I have a positive view of my contributions, and this makes me happy.
I am also proud, for example, of things I have written or painted. I did my best and I love them.
But I would be very very surprised and puzzled if I won the National Medal or the Pulitzer for them (and happy as well, of course).
So in absolute terms, I am very content with my contributions, but honestly, in relative terms I don't feel I am at the top tier.
Anyway, what’s important is that each gives the best they can, I don't want to dwell on comparisons, and I feel very grateful for this recognition.
So I will refrain from saying that I think you are more deserving than I of this Award.
By the way, all the wonderful things you say about me feel like a Prize in itself, a most valuable recognition coming from you.
So I had two Awards the same day!!!

That the good things we do to others might eventually come back to us. As a spectacular surprise, in this case.
I feel an immediate reward when I am aware, keenly aware, of all the goodness and the talents of the people around me. I feel at home, surrounded by good, interesting people. It makes my world richer, warm, meaningful and beautiful.
For example, the fact that you wrote to me a lovely note and I am writing now to you, Ayesha, such a good person, always striving to bring the best things for us all, using your aesthetic sensibility, your hard work, unbound creativity coupled with the highest intellectual standards, and the courage to implement your innovations in this unforgiving real world, all this gives depth, meaning, wonder and delight to this moment.
Even if I don’t tell, I greatly enjoy this awareness.
I am very grateful for your support and encouragement, that you have gifted me so many times and in different places, like here now.
It has always been an honor and a great pleasure interacting with you.
