@Laura 1. Support for people in their 40s plus, 2. Hitting a brick wall with Doctors and mental health services "due to funding".? 3. Dealing with both parents elderly and multiple serious health issues, bereavement support, Being Mindful of the newcomer whilst in chat rooms, if I may suggest a 4th, as it's been on my mind for a year or more, Many Thanks and Appreciation.

TRIGGER WARNING: SUICIDE, SELF HARM

@Amaru20rip #2 really hits home for me. I have a friend who slit her wrists a few months ago. She sent me a goodbye message & when she wouldn't respond to any of my messages or calls I sent her lifeline which she called immediately & got the help she needed. She wanted help all along but got so exhausted with the process of looking that she decided it wasn't worth it. The moment I told her about something that could help she jumped on it. After her attempt it took her months to find a therapist in her middle of nowhere town. Now that's just sad. Meanwhile her bf can't get his meds because his doctor went out of business and as you can probably guess, finding a new one takes forever. It really hurts me to see people who work so hard to get better being forgotten no matter how hard they try. Everyday is a struggle just to survive.

I like #3 too. It could even be generalized to dealing with family while dealing with health issues. I get what you're getting at though because parents/elderly is definitely a different relationship from kids or spouses.

@Amaru20rip - I think you may be interested in checking out some of our existing subcommunities. We have one for 35+ support, as well as one for Family, Friends & Caregivers support. Additionally, we have a Grief and Loss category in the forums that is one option of those that could move towards growing into a subcommunity

Searching for a friend subcommunity? To develop friendships with others who can relate to you? Every listener Ive tried to connect to was unavailable so I dont have much faith in finding a listener, I would love to connect with others who are searching for a friend, not just a place to pour out our traumas, but a positive place to connect on other things... things that make us happy and find friends who share those same interests.

@lavenderPark8018

Hey! It's different from what you're talking about but have you tried the hobby sc? You could find people with similar interests there to build friendships instead of a sc specifically for friends

@richyShiny39

Disability and relationship support are already subcoms :)

But getting unstuck can easily be a subforum in general support if you would like to vote for that one ^^

@richyShiny39

Heya! Two of those are already existing like MonBon said but do you think the motivation and self-help sc is close to what you have in mind with a getting unstuck sc? It might have some of the same ideas you wanted, you can check it out here https://www.7cups.com/home/motivation/

@helpinghand29

Sexual assault is in trauma which is already a subcom, but you can vote for loneliness in the survey above :)

For overthinking and irritation from that, i would recommend general entries in the general support Community which you can also vote for in the survey above
