April 19 - Email Verification & Forum Participation

Hi team,
We know that there has been a surge in forum spam. We are very sorry about that! About 2 weeks ago, we launched the ability verify your email as a member. We are now working on the next phase of this update, which would be to make it compulsary to to verify your email prior to posting on the forums for the first time. Our hope is that this will help reduce spam.
The date of this update is still TBA. But it is in development and we are working building this functionality as we speak. I wanted to give you this update to let you know, we hear you and we are actively working to get a solution in place.

Thank you so much for bringing this to our attention. I hope this is a good step that will help resolve most of the spam issue. This has been something we've needed for awhile, and it looks like some brainstorming has helped come up with a solution for this because we all know we are tired of this. Thanks to our Dev Team for always working so hard to produce things for our community to continue bringing safety and comfort.

Awesome news! This update is possibly one of my favourites as the spam in the forums is such a nuisance to get through - First I want to find new threads to see if theres anywhere I help, but then I come across the countless (Well, actually, I do count them - Usually 40-80) spam threads, so then I go through them all, flagging them to be deleted, and then finally get around to some of the unanswered threads, only to have run out of time :( Awesome update, team! Thanks for the updates, and goodluck with future phases of this update :D
@Laura I really love the idea! Confirmation takes some more time so I bet then people won't post spam here, so wohooo we might solve the spam issue finally, thanks for the update
