Seeking Help
Mental stress can cause us not to be able to see the good things in life and lead to excessive rumination or worries, which can result in serious health problems. If you have serious, long-term problems with negative thinking and feeling depressed, see your doctor or talk to a therapist if they are related to any mental challenges.

I have enjoyed all of Mitch Albom's books. They all have an uplifting and inspiring message of hope.

Couldn't agree more! I have not read all of them yet, but surely a few. Something I vividly remember, I lost my mom when I was relatively young and was still coming to terms with it after a few years and a friend suggested "One more day" - and boy was it a good read, I almost felt that I was living the character! What a writer!

None in particular that I remember, except recently admiring the apparent amount of research done for a book (written in English) about Samuel Champlain, and the research done also by the French translator. So it is not necessarily the story; but the skills involved.
I also remember a biography about a late Middle Age French king whose reputation was terrible, but reading about him put a great perspective on his deeds.
I was an avid novel reader when I was young, but once I landed on non-fiction, it became the type I preferred. The older I get, the more I want to learn apparently.

Middle Age French king whose reputation was terrible - Getting more details, reading about it can often put things in perspective and help to understand the situation at that time.

That was Louis XI, long-time "Dauphin" who did not get along with his dad before it was his turn on the throne.

I guess the book that has been the most meaningful to me is the Bible. I learned a lot from it.
@amiablePeace77
Thank you for this, I will not take my reading for granted.
What story or book stuck with you, making you feel different inside and/or changed how you felt for days?
Rich dad, poor dad.

I'm an avid reader, often on and off overnight when sleep is escaping me.
One book stands head and shoulders alone, just a fantasy novel that particularly impressed my teenage mind and I've returned to repeatedly since, Clive Barker's Weaveworld.
@amiablePeace77 What story or book stuck with you, making you feel different inside and/or changed how you felt for days?
2001 Space Odyssey is prophetic of where electronic communication is now and way ahead of its time.

but the one book from a very young age for me that stuck with me is the bible i can not pick one story in it that made me feel hope and peaces that stuck with me due to there so many within the bible that have touched me deeply made me feel different inside changed me and how i feel today if i had to pick one i say the story of Jesus life mostly due to how He acted even in great suffering as in that i found away to overcome my many years of suffering and abuse to be able to hold onto a forgiving heart too
