To the beach, definitely! I only went once but it was pretty nice, I would love to go lay on the sand and enjoy the cold waves 🌊🌊🌊

I've lived or stayed a long time in several countries because I am a terrible tourist. The UK, Ireland, Spain, Switzerland for long stays and Japan, the US and Canada for years. I find no meaning in visiting a whole city in three hours flat and have refused to go on cruises twice.
I would love to return to Senegal or Cameroon where my stays were not long enough. Warm people there. I would return to Japan to browse their stationery stores and eat seaweed - especially "hijiki", and stay with my funny ex sister-in-law.
I would take my grandson (12) along anywhere. The French say that "travel shapes the young mind."

I loved it! It's a country that smells wonderful, where people are warm and kind. I stayed with two families mostly. They both had maids working there and the master of the house called them "querida", "tesoro" or "mi cielo" showing they were valued members of the family and their work was always appreciated.
One invitation was due to the lady being a well-known portrait painter and had asked me to sit for her. I was also treated to a serenade - young men I had met at the swimming pool and started singing love songs in the early night under my window - how romantic can you get? My host told me to invite them in for a drink and I asked to learn one of their songs.
I also had two opportunities to go to the bull races and sit in the arena. This was the 70s and concern for animals was not something the Spanish were known for at the time, but I enjoyed the crowds yelling "¡ oléééé !", the fanfare, the costumes and the acrobatics.
It is also a country where I started a fan collection. Everyone used fans and even in church during a service, you'd hear them snapping open an close loudly. People chat during the service too, and the church was always full. Fun to hear well-known prayers in Spanish and the type of music played on the organ.
Altogether, I stayed in Madrid, Santander and El Ferrol.

I would go to Costa Rica and not come back! :) Go live pura vida in the warm sunshine. I want to go there because it's beautiful, it's one of the happiest countries on Earth (they have no military - they put the money into building a beautiful life for their citizens!), it's a lot warmer than where I am now, I speak the language, I love the culture, I just want to go! :) I'd take my bestie with me. The both of us could use the relaxation and nice weather.
I would travel all along the Mediterranean Sea! I would spend most my time in Greece and I would want to take my kids or Bryce
