Hello there! Got questions about 7 Cups? AMA! I'm a Community Manager here and happy to help alongside @Tazzie our SC Ambassador! Post your questions below and we will do our best to respond!
Hello,
Im new to 7cups and I recently tried the free three day trial of therapy. Before I could cancel my trial on the third day, I was charged $150 and I hadnt gotten a notice of my trial ending or had talked to my therapist after the trial ended. I quit therapy because I cant afford it and havent talked to my therapist since before my trial ended and Im in a really bad spot. My accounts are overdrawn and I am not even getting the help that I need, and I also will have no money for a while now. I know I messed up by taking the free trial, but I really needed help. Is there anything I can do? I will promise to totally leave 7cups after this if there is any way to help. Thank you.
@JadeMoon97
Hi Jade, I'm really sorry to read what's happened. Have a look at this page https://www.7cups.com/supportDesk.php and click on the online therapy tab and there is all the information you need to cancel etc.
Please don't think you have to leave 7Cups. You have access to hundreds of free listeners who can help to give you emotional support. Let me know how you get on.

I lost my listener! How do I get them back?
😕
@IndigoPond38
Please check your email account associated with your 7 Cups account. In all cases, we send an email letting you know that your account has been disabled. This email will include more information on why this happened and what to do if you feel this action was taken in error.
If youd like to get your account re-instated, no need to email us back. Simply submit to this form and we will review your account and get back to you via email within 3 to 5 days of your submission.
Note: If you see a failure code associated with your account, please include this code exactly as you see it in your support request.
@Jill7cups
Well, I don't think it was that. I didn't receive such an email. But I was trying to delete another email, and it wouldn't delete. Could it have been accidentally deleted?
I don't know how to use Notes and Folders. I typed something in it, but it keeps disappearing when I look back for it. Is notes meant to do that?
@tealBear2472 No it's not but you have to click on the blue Save button each time you make a note or folder or change anything, then it should all be there

Does anyone know how to change your picture?
@hopefulUnicorns1812
If you go to your My Settings page, you can change it from there. Please be sure to use the web browser, it doesn't work on the app.
@Tazzie
thank you very much.
@hopefulUnicorns1812
You are very welcome.
Hi, I'm Seraphina, I would like to do the 30 Days Self-Esteem Challenge and win the Champions Self-Esteem badge but i don't know how to do it or where I mean i searched in the 7 cups resources and guides but i haven't found nothing about the challenge so i don't know how to start it. Could you please help me with that? Thank you very much :)
@Seraphina2 sometimes there are special events in which you can earn this badge. its not a ongoing challenge that you can take "when you want", usually they are less 30 days but you can get the badge. there are regulary special events on 7cups, you can learn about them when they come in with your notifications and alerts
How do you remove a community from the list of "my communities" ?
Some are on there that do not retain to me and it just confuses me as to which ones I have posted in.
@Methodic
(Web Browser on PC/laptop )
On the home page of the Sub-Community, towards the bottom right, you will see "Leave this Community", clicking on that will take that community off of the list.
(Accessing the browser on phone)
Go to the home page of the community and scroll to the bottom of the page, you will see "Leave this community", please go ahead and click on it!
Hi, my name is Jess. I'm 43 yrs old. I used to be a happy, bubbly, positive thinking person but so much has happened in the last 2 years that it has completely changed me and my outlook on life. I am hoping someone can help me get back to where I use to be. So far everyone here has been really nice to me and I appreciate them. I am also looking for a friend now that I'm "allowed" to have them.
@MadameCoffee Hi there I just read your post. I am a newbie and still trying to work out what I'm doing as not very tech savvy, I dont even use facebook lol. Anyway, I'm 42 and looking for someone to chat to. I also love my coffee ;) like you I'm in that place, I'm hoping 7 cups is my way out. I'm not sure how to contact but I'm here if you need someone too. Louise x
What forum would be the spot for adoption related issues?
I'm trying to connect to a listner, but I can really tell who I would be comfortable with due to the fact that I can't get a sense of what they are like from the blurbs things.
@onyx581
Hello! I can share some key things to look for:-
1. Does the listener have a purple check before their username? This check mark denotes the "Verified listener" status.
2. Look for the reviews/ratings
3. Do they have the chat topic listed in their bio (profile page)?
4. Listener level - Located to the right of their username for example, "Listener- Pinnacle"(Based on the amount of time spent volunteering in the community)
To add, all of the above are only some ways of looking for someone who may be experienced and can offer the support you are looking for. You are also welcome to join our sub-communities for support. If you need more information on this , please feel free to reach out!
Hope this helps. Thank you!
@onyx581 Who you would be comfortable with is difficult to predict, because people are all so very different. Trial and error is often needed.
One approach is to write a little about yourself in any appropriate forum, try to describe the kind of listener you would feel comfortable with, and see who replies. If any listeners reply, and if you like the way they responded, you can click on their profile picture and message them.
In fact there's a forum for exactly this purpose: Members Classifieds (but really, any forum would do).
If you like this response, feel free to click on my profile picture and message me

@RarelyCharlie
Thank you Charlie for sharing your insights as well! It is definitely subjective and a trial & error process. One can only try different ways of finding the support they need.
@onyx581 from my experience as a member, a good way to find listeners is to check in forums and rooms on topics that you usually seek support (we have forums and subcommunities for most of topics), on those places, both forums and rooms, you can see how the listeners interact with members and if you like their style or no. Dont hesitate to message them even if they are offline, they could schedule a time with you. Give a try. It is much trial and errors, but avoid to be matched randomly by clicking on "connect with a listener" that match you with the next available listener.
how do i change my 7Cups name? not my username , but my name.
@TheBeeThatListens
Hello! Please write to community@7cups.com and give them the information. They will be able to process it.
