Hey hey!! I’m Lex 💕 (she/her), and I’m so happy you’re here! I’m one of your friendly 7 Cups Listeners, and this space is kind of my cozy little corner where I get to say hi, welcome you in, and hopefully make you feel a little more at home. I’m someone who genuinely cares, and I’m here because supporting others is something that fills my heart in all the best ways. 💛

I’m involved in a bunch of different roles around the site, and each one means something important to me. I’m a Community Mentor, helping guide and support listeners as they grow. I’m also a Chatroom Mentor, keeping the rooms warm, welcoming, and safe. As a Peer Supporter, I’m always available to help other listeners process and decompress when things get heavy. And with the Welcome Committee, I get to greet new members and listeners with the kindness and energy they deserve. All of these roles allow me to show up for people in different ways, and it’s something I’m really grateful for. 🌸

⭐️ Why Reviews Matter So, SO Much ⭐️

Leaving a review for a listener might seem small, but it truly has such a big impact. Reviews help us understand how we’re doing from the member’s perspective, which we don’t always get to hear directly. Positive reviews make our hearts glow — they remind us that we’re making a difference and help us see the things we’re doing right. They encourage us, lift us up, and keep us motivated to keep showing up with care and compassion.

But the constructive reviews? Those are incredibly valuable too. They help us learn, grow, and understand what members need from us. They shine a gentle light on the areas where we can stretch a little more, improve our skills, and become better at holding space for the people who come to us. Both kinds of reviews matter. Both help us become better listeners. And we appreciate every single one you take the time to write. 🌈🫶

💕 Closing Thoughts

My messages are always open, truly. If you ever need someone to talk to — whether it’s something heavy, something confusing, something frustrating, or even something you’re excited about — I’m here. I’m always happy to hold space, listen deeply, and be a steady, supportive presence for anyone who needs it. No pressure, no judgment, just warmth and understanding.

You’re never bothering me. You’re never “too much.”
You’re welcome to reach out anytime. 💌✨

Much love,

Lex 🤎🫂

This is such a warm and welcoming post, Lex! I completely agree with you on the importance of reviews. It really helps listeners grow when they know what they are doing well and where they can improve. Feedback is truly a gift that benefits the whole community! Thank you for creating such a supportive space and for everything you do in your various roles to make 7 Cups feel like home. <3

How/where can I leave a review for a listener? I can't find a link/button on their profile or on the chat with the listener, the 2 obvious places I am looking...

@onwardforevenmore Open the 1-1 with the listener, click the ... and then end chat.

@Heather225 this really isn't intuitive. Even after being here for so long, when the review option was removed from the drop down menu it took me a little bit to realize it was combined into end chat. I think many members wonder what happens when they click end chat, questioning if the listener is informed they don't want to chat anymore.

This question had 2 upvotes before I popped in here, so it seems likely at least 2 other people weren't sure how to bring up the review option.

Thanks. I delete each chat when I'm no longer going to speak to that person again, so there's no record of having talked w/them that I can see. I suppose I have to know to leave a review before deleting them! Thanks and Happy Holidays Happy New Year!

@onwardforevenmore

if you're on the website, there's no manual option for leaving a review, you got to use the three dots in top right and the button "end the chat" that way a pop up will appear for you and you can include your rating and review there.

@daydreammemories - for BAD reviews, that's only when "angry" and ending the chat, not finding their profile later after cooling down and  writing something level-headed and from the heart, with wisdom rather than an emotional "Reaction" to a bad interaction. Where can I leave a review AFTERWARDS.

For good reviews, it should be anytime! And easy to find! Where are the options to leave good reviews?

@onwardforevenmore It doesn't have to be done immediately after a chat. As long as both accounts are active, no blocking occurred, isn’t a super old chat. you can open the chat, click the ... and choose end chat. So it's ok to do the review - good or bad a week later if you want.

If there were any major issues, I recommend getting the screenshots right away and that way if a block occurs the helpdesk can be used to report.

@LexListens2025 Thank you. This was such a caring and welcoming post. I am fairly new here and haven't been very involved except talking briefly to a few listeners. I will keep you in mind for if I need to talk some time. That's very kind of you!

Thank you for the welcome to the new comers, I didn't know how to start...ok I'm in this online community, what do I do...and this message really helps even if this comment it's just like a hand-shake, it is a first step to activate myself in the journey of healing and discovery. Way better than getting lost in the youtube or *** comment section of random videos. I get to write and chat with a purpose, a purpose connected to this big stepping stone that is my academic final thesis. Something that has been blocking me for years now and that without I can't really get a job, get my own place, start a new chapter. I've done so much to get where I am and I don't know why this has been the hardest.

Hey There : )

first of all, welcome, truly. that “hand-shake” you mentioned? that’s exactly what this is 🤝🌱 a gentle first step instead of wandering alone through the internet void. you chose intention, and that matters more than you probably realize right now.

i love how clearly you named your purpose too. writing and chatting with meaning, tied to your healing and your academic journey? that’s powerful. your thesis isn’t just a paper—it’s a doorway 🚪✨ to independence, stability, and a whole new chapter you deserve. the fact that it’s been hard doesn’t mean you’re incapable; it means it’s important. sometimes the things closest to our freedom are the ones that scare us the most.

also… please don’t overlook how far you’ve already come 🫶🌈 you’ve done so much to get here. hitting this block after years of effort doesn’t erase that—it just means you’re standing right at a big turning point. and you don’t have to stand there alone.

i’m really glad you’re here. keep writing, keep sharing, keep showing up—one tiny step at a time 🐢💫 this community is lucky to have you, and i’m rooting for you so hard 🤍✨
