What have you missed the most during the pandemic?

Hi everyone!

Since the pandemic situation is different depending on what country you are currently living in, where some countries don't have strict rules or lockdowns anymore and for those that do, my heart goes out to you all.

My question is: "What have you missed the most during the pandemic?"

Such a thoughtful post, @professionalVision2624, I appreciate you for making these wonderful posts. ❤

Besides many many things, something I missed the most during pandemic is ironically a schedule/ routine lol. How about you?

The things with medical care that I have missed out on are things I miss the most.

The things I want to do the most, family gatherings.

Even though rules aren't restriction a ton of social gatherings, things like a Christmas get together with many people are not advised by my doctors. The lack of restrictions actually mean I am doing less than if they were in place to a moderate degree.

Mhhhh I know that feeling. The pandemic is declated to be over in my country now and it still feels weird to have get togethers now.

@professionalVision2624 Whereas here right now they are calling it a tridemic - Covid and new variants, RSV and influenza. Sooo many schools are on outbreak status. Yet almost no restrictions, some medical facilities have their own rules like masking and even that is likely less than half of them.

The pandemic coincided with my retirement. Pretty much all my best laid plans were put on hold. Getting involved in my community, travelling and meeting new people.

Awwwww, I feel for you :( It sucks that corona caused our plans to be on hold and it's still causing problems such as getting a passport

@professionalVision2624- thank you for your reply. I did get a passport - was going to travel to Croatia but decided against the trip. Hope life is getting more normal for you.

@professionalVision2624 weekly morning walk with my childhood bestie. We used to have morning long walk every Saturday while catching up with what's going on in each other's lives.

She's my bestfriend since we were 6 years old and now our kids are older than 6 😂

What about you Vision?

It wasn't covid that caused all these problems, it was the irrational mass hysteria reaction to it

Great question! I was in Canada until end of 2021. I missed both my choirs and church life but also had plenty of time for my sewing/embroidery. I was about to rewrite a manual on church linens which had been published already but could not find the inspiration in spite of all the notes taken. Could not see friends. Was not as interested in cooking. Since we lived in a 6-apts condo, it was decided that we were a "cell" so we could look after each other, do our shopping together and cook for one another. We walked each other's dogs as well. I supervised the kid-next-door while he was doing school on the internet to relieve his parents. We smelled the fresh air in our off-center Montreal district and admired the wild life that was showing up all of a sudden in our area. Now I live in the French countryside and it feel like a dream

Thank you so much for sharing your experiences! Mhhhh, yes, the pandemic did make us miss out on many things which we enjoyed but it also opened up for new possibilities that we might not have been open to before the pandemic started <3

I'm so sorry to hear that :( Can it be arranged so you can visit them at the nursing home? It might help you feel connection aswell as your parents to feel connection to you.

Keep me updated <3

When the pandemic hit I had just turned 21 and was in my final years or college, I feel like I missed a lot of experiences due to the stress of overworking and seriousness of Covid even now I wish I could make up for it.
