Learn About 7 Cups: Ask Here!
Hello everyone, and a special welcome to our newest members and listeners!
Getting started here can sometimes feel a little overwhelming, and we want to make sure you feel completely at home. We were all new here once, so we are starting a Q&A to help you get settled.
You might be wondering how to find your way around, what certain terms mean, or how to connect with others. Please know that no question is too silly, too small, or unnecessary. Even if you're not new, you're welcome to ask questions! Learning on 7 Cups is ongoing! If you are wondering about something, chances are someone else is too!
How to ask:
- In the thread: Drop your questions in the comments below, and we will answer them as quickly as we can.
- Ask privately: If you feel more comfortable asking privately, you can drop your question into this form instead: Click Here - Please input your exact username if you want to be tagged or PMed, or I will not be able to find you.
Please note: This thread is only for questions related to the 7 Cups platform. If you need support, you can seek out any of the resources within our community (1:1 with a listener, group support, forums, etc.). Please refer to this document for everything we offer!
We are so glad you are part of the 7 Cups community. Please do not be shy - ask away! 💙
How can I get people who need listener
@lastbeastojha

@TerrariumSnails3

If your feeling down, remember that you matter !! Smile and it will switch your mood. You are the best. Try it.
Do I have to censor words that may trigger people? Not referring to profanity or foullanguage, I don't intend on using that. I mean specifically the word suicide, and other ways of saying it. The main reason I'm here is because I lost someone that way, and I want to be sure it's acceptable to just use honest language about it. Thank you
@neveleneves No, generally you don't have to censor words (although look at community specific guidelines, especially in forums like the self-harm, trauma, and eating disorder support communities).
You cannot go into graphic details though and should include a trigger warning at the beginning of the post.
The forums will automatically censor some words to ***s. You can ask a forum mentor to edit these back to the original word.
How do I locate the chatroom in order to handle cases of members?

hi! are you wanting to ask listeners for help regarding chat support for your members, or are you referring to something else?
I am a new listener here. I don't know how to locate the chatroom in order to see requests of members to be attended to
