thanks for asking 🥰 so the next best thing to PMing members in my experience is connecting to them in the forums. you're no stranger to seeing them in NR queue, for instance. here's other places i would frequent to find newbies to acknowledge:
Scrolling down Newbie Hub for any intro posts or posts with low reply counts. there's also the New Subscribers list that often has new users for any Ms that want to say hi to a new L).
Doing the same in General Support.
Responding to newbies in the Welcome Thread. This one is a big focus and ideally we want to have everyone replied to within 24 hours.
I am sure there's more, but offhand, these are the prime newbie hot spots I've seen.
And if any of these areas are particularly interesting, there's always the option to become a forum leader for a more official title ;)
