I wish I wasn't so afraid to tell my coworker I liked him. The last time I saw him, I could tell he might have kind of liked me, but he didn't say anything. I'll always remember 2 moments with him and it's so weird that that time in my life is mostly erased from my memory!

@Samerina I think we all have our crushes at work. How about you ask him to go for coffee or ice cream sometime - just to chat about work and stuff?

My first job was ... [to follow suit from others] technically my first "job" was babysitting too, but according to me that doesn't count because I didn't get a paycheck.

The job that I consider my first job was working in a restaurant and arcade place. I really wanted to work in the arcade part, but I took a job in the restaurant hoping to move over to the arcade at some point. I really wanted to be the voice of "Wilber," the main robot who rode around on his trike and delivered pizza or sides to the tables. Having lived in my hometown all of my life to that point, Wilber was a big thing! even though I was 14 or 15 at this time.

I ended up clearing tables, doing dishes, carrying out orders when they would not all fit on Wilber's tray, etc. Grunt work, basically. BUT I did get to host birthday parties. smiley That was definitely the best part according to me. yes I worked there for almost exactly one year, maybe a few days over one year. I did not ever get to move to the arcade or be on the Wilber controllers team. Yup, that was my first job. ~ Platy

@cyanPlatypus6370 Wilber sounds awesome! Do they still do that in your hometown? If not it sounds like great biz idea - you could be the one to bring it back - and finally be Wilber!

My first job wasn't until I stated college (because when I was in high school, I never had good enough transportation to have a job). I was an international ambassador for my University. We worked the beginning of each new school year assisting international students with moving in and their orientatation events. It was a lot of fun. :)

Ah, a new women's clothing store in town. They put me to work the day I applied because they needed to get the store ready for the grand opening. I was not expecting to begin work 6 hours on my feet and was wearing new heels. Oh my feet went boom boom most of the night. Loved working that store and found out that I am (used to be) good with customers. After the first year they let me help with displays and such. It was a nice first job but I moved on after a shoot out close to the shop - like two doors down. Never had I felt terror before that day.
