i miss the days my friends used to call me for christmas they were truest friend of mine n i always cherish the memories with them.

@AutisticYouth. I used to work on Christmas Day most of the time. There were sometimes that employees would bring a favorite dish. It was nice because there were people from different parts of the world and I got to try different foods.

I remember all my seven brothers getting tonka trucks so nothing was wrapped … I snuck down and put the truck in my pile lol 😂 I wanted to be like them …, 🚙🚛🚑🚚🚒🛻

In 1965, when I was four, there was an ice storm in the very early morning hours of Christmas Day, while we were still asleep.  The storm brought down the power lines.  We had no electricity when we woke up.  We opened our presents by candlelight and had breakfast at a truck stop.

We lived on a farm.  The power in town had not gone out, so Christmas dinner at my aunt and uncle's house went on as planned.  My Great-Great-Aunt Barbara, who was 89 that year (born in 1876) was with us.  They were baking cookies as well as fixing dinner.  My sister and I had to sit still and stay quiet until dinner was ready.  Barbara brought us each a sugar cookie, hot from the oven, at one point.  The cookies had a little silver ball on each of them for decoration.  Those silver balls were tough to chew and they tasted bitter.

I remember the times when I was a child and  my sister and me were sitting in front of the sitting room door on Christmas Eve waiting that my parents open the door to see the beautifully decorated tree and get the presents.

Yay! A Christmas party!

A favorite memory from childhood: After I was supposed to go to bed, I would sit at the top of the stairs and peek around the corner. I could just barely see the chimney and the Christmas tree. I was, of course, trying to sneak a peek at Santa. My parents were probably aware that I was sitting up there, but they never said anything, and needless to say, I never saw Santa. But then it would really be like magic when I finally went to bed, then woke up the next morning, and there would be presents under the tree. I was convinced that if I had just stayed awake a few extra minutes, I could have seen Santa, like I just barely missed him!
