With our academy growing quickly everyday, we require a strong team of mentors to run the programs and make it a smooth sailing ship for our trainees. At the academy, we are always looking for help so if you would like to contribute to our programs, please use this post as a guide to apply to become a mentor. Please review each program and what each program requirements are to become a mentor. You may apply for one at a time, once you've passed 2 months in your role, you can apply for another program. You can only be part of two programs. Overall requirements: - Verified Listener Badge [https://www.7cups.com/forum/ListenerLearningJourney_149/ListenerVerificationProject_1839/NewAdditionalCriteriaToBecomeVerifiedListenerGoingLive_230276/] - Not be a trainee in the program you are applying for. You can graduate and then apply! - No serious behavior reports in the past 3 months - Those in a leadership role already will be given preference! _______________________________________________________________________________ 1. Quality Listening Program - 100+ 1-1 chats - Been a listener for at least 3 months - Priority will be given to QLP Graduates 2. Leadership Development Program - Been a listener for at least 3 months - It is preferred that you are an ATL but not needed - Able to work on and communicate with a team - Able to commit at least 1 hour a week - Priority will be given to LDP Graduates 3. Internship Program - 3+ months as a listener - 150+ chats with member/guests - Sparkler and Tiny Chat badges (obtained by completing 20 member and 20 listener group chats) - Should be able to maintain a response time of within 3 days unless on informed break. - Should be able to give the track at least 2 months after acceptance before taking any major breaks. - Priority will be given to Internship Program Graduates 4. Content Development and Marketing Program - Questions in the application form - 3+ months as a listener - Priority will be given to CDM Program Graduates Some notes to keep in mind: - This role is available to both teens and adults. ATLs are preferred as it makes our communication process easy. - We bring on mentors as per our need in a specific program. So, it's possible that QLP might need a mentor but the other programs don't. - The academy reserves the right to remove any mentor on any basis, well within reason. It can be based on inactivity, unprofessionalism, etc. - Each role entails a month-long trial that follows the training. You will be trained initially and then put on a trial so both you and the team can create an understanding of each others' work style. - Please be mindful of how much time you can dedicate to the programs. All of these programs require consistent weekly involvement. If you are occupied with other roles or anything else, you might not have the time for these roles. General expectations from all the roles: - Always be open to feedback, be it positive or constructive. We strive on the feedback we are given and will take every opportunity we can to become better. - The roles will require consistent involvement - Quick learner and a team player - Must be comfortable leading group AMAs for the programs - Be a pro-active guide to all our trainees so they can finish the program smoothly - Be flexible and ready to adapt to different needs that you might come around to face - Deliver a good response time to trainees. ...See more Hi everyone! I hope you are well. Did you know 7 Cups Academy has been around for 5 years now? What a rollercoaster it has been! 5 Years of launching, and refining programs and courses! With each year, our Alumni number grows and our reach expands. Today, we’re happy to share that the Academy Alumni Team now includes 1,850 program graduates and 1,089 course graduates. What an amazing milestone! Highlights from Another Impactful Year This year has been filled with growth, updates, and meaningful initiatives. Here are some of the key highlights from the past year or so: * Academy Outreach Project Agent Team completed over 1500+ 1-on-1 outreaches, to raise awareness about academy programs.  * Three new Academy Mentor Leaders Joined Our Team (@PetiteSouris @Quietlistener2023 and @YellowRose27) * We updated our Internship Program [https://www.7cups.com/forum/interns/InternshipProjectAnnouncementandUpdates_1899/InternshipUpdatesDecember2024_341787/] * Introduced writing testimonials for academy programs as an honors and elective option * The Group Support Program was converted into the Group Dynamics Course. ...See more Hello, I am PetiteSouris, and I serve as an Academy Mentor for the Internship Program. I am training for Community Mentor Leader role for the 7 cups Academy Program. One of my roles, as a Community Mentor Leader, will be to organize monthly meetings for Academy Leaders. In our first monthly meeting, I would like to get to know everyone. For the month of June, we will be having meetings on Saturday June 22nd at 10am EST and Friday June 28th at 7pm EST. You may attend either of the meeting times. 7 Cups Academy Turns 4! Celebrating with two new badges!

...See more Hi everyone, I hope you are doing well. I am here to share exciting news with you all. 7 Cups Academy has turned 4!! This is a major milestone and marks 4 years of providing opportunities to our community to work on professional development and personal growth. In the past year we launched the Inner Development Goals Course and have decided to convert the Group Support Program into the Group Dynamics Course will be launched soon. To date, 1600+ trainees and interns have graduated from academy programs and 692 people have completed academy courses.  On this celebratory milestone, let us remember the hard work of our academy leaders (Academy ambassadors, mentor leaders, mentors, forum supporters, and project agents) who have all worked hard to ensure that our trainees are supported and have the information needed to successfully graduate. A special thanks to our dedicated admins, @Heather225 (played a key role in helping establish the academy and led the LDP in the early days) @Soulfullyabutterfly (Helped launch the CDM Program and IDG Course along with assisting with maintenance of both) @ASilentObserver (Launched the group support program and played a key role in maintenance of it). Every single person who has contributed to 7 Cups Academy in the past or is currently doing so is valuable to us and shares a part in our collective success. But of course, we would not be here if our community users were not so dedicated towards their personal growth and professional development. It is our community's interest in 7 Cups Academy that has allowed it to expand and grow throughout these years.  To mark this special occasion, we are introducing two new badges! Badge Name: Academy Summit * Description: For completing all academy programs available at the time.  * Current eligibility criteria: Have completed the 7 Cups Internship, Content Development and Marketing (CDM), Leadership Development (LDP), and Quality Listening Program (QLP). Members only need to have completed CDM and LDP.  Badge Name: Ripple Effect * Description: For completing all academy courses available at the time.  * Current eligibility criteria: Has completed the community building, time management, and Inner Development Goals Course. The criteria are the same for members and listeners The eligibility criteria will fluctuate if we add/remove academy programs/courses. The badge application form will remain up to date with the updated criteria. You must have completed the programs or courses on the same account to be eligible for the badge.  The goal of these badges is to acknowledge the trainees/interns/users who have spent a significant amount of time working on their personal development and professional improvement. You do not have to complete any more programs or courses than you wish to. Everyone is encouraged to work within their capacity. We need hosts for the following events: Question Prompts (2 seats available) What does it mean to be a quality listener? What listening skills you would like to master? Before I start talking about the events, you may be curious to know what 7 Cups Academy is. The 7 Cups Academy is a tuition-free institution that trains members, listeners, and researchers to develop skills and better care for our community. These are professional skills that are of great use even outside 7 Cups. We believe in practice-driven learning and all of our courses have in-field experience at the core. The academy programs target specific skills like leadership, content development, etc. Trainees not only get theoretical knowledge of the subject but also spend time practicing the skills under our practicum opportunities. That is not all, one of the challenging parts of learning something new is that it can be an isolating experience and at times you may feel like the motivation is fading. At 7 Cups Academy, we understand your support needs. We have mentors who check in with you regularly to help you navigate the set of requirements and to offer support and encouragement. Additionally, we believe in a student-led approach. Feedback from our trainees results in constant improvements to the program’s coursework and structure. This week is the Internship and next week is Group Leadership and Dynamics Development Program We need people to help host the following events next week. All hosts will get a badge for hosting the events. Question Prompts (2 seats available) * What principles should we follow for an inclusive group support experience? * Which group room can you easily spend an hour in? You are expected to post the prompt with a small paragraph of introduction and respond to the people participating in the thread. Forum Event (1 seat available) You are asked to host a pop-up of your choice. The twist is that you must create your own script and host on a topic that is out of the box. What will you host your session on? Group Sessions (4 seats available) Creative Pop-Up events Academy Team is partnering up with the Pop-Ups Team with an academy twist. The pop-ups team is led by @DonaldDraper. For this academy event. You will create your own pop-up script and host the pop-up. The session will last 30 minutes.
