With our academy growing quickly everyday, we require a strong team of mentors to run the programs and make it a smooth sailing ship for our trainees. At the academy, we are always looking for help so if you would like to contribute to our programs, please use this post as a guide to apply to become a mentor. Please review each program and what each program requirements are to become a mentor. You may apply for one at a time, once you've passed 2 months in your role, you can apply for another program. You can only be part of two programs. Overall requirements: - Verified Listener Badge [https://www.7cups.com/forum/ListenerLearningJourney_149/ListenerVerificationProject_1839/NewAdditionalCriteriaToBecomeVerifiedListenerGoingLive_230276/] - Not be a trainee in the program you are applying for. You can graduate and then apply! - No serious behavior reports in the past 3 months - Those in a leadership role already will be given preference! _______________________________________________________________________________ 1. Quality Listening Program - 100+ 1-1 chats - Been a listener for at least 3 months - Priority will be given to QLP Graduates 2. Leadership Development Program - Been a listener for at least 3 months - It is preferred that you are an ATL but not needed - Able to work on and communicate with a team - Able to commit at least 1 hour a week - Priority will be given to LDP Graduates 3. Internship Program - 3+ months as a listener - 150+ chats with member/guests - Sparkler and Tiny Chat badges (obtained by completing 20 member and 20 listener group chats) - Should be able to maintain a response time of within 3 days unless on informed break. - Should be able to give the track at least 2 months after acceptance before taking any major breaks. - Priority will be given to Internship Program Graduates 4. Content Development and Marketing Program - Questions in the application form - 3+ months as a listener - Priority will be given to CDM Program Graduates Some notes to keep in mind: - This role is available to both teens and adults. ATLs are preferred as it makes our communication process easy. - We bring on mentors as per our need in a specific program. So, it's possible that QLP might need a mentor but the other programs don't. - The academy reserves the right to remove any mentor on any basis, well within reason. It can be based on inactivity, unprofessionalism, etc. - Each role entails a month-long trial that follows the training. You will be trained initially and then put on a trial so both you and the team can create an understanding of each others' work style. - Please be mindful of how much time you can dedicate to the programs. All of these programs require consistent weekly involvement. If you are occupied with other roles or anything else, you might not have the time for these roles. General expectations from all the roles: - Always be open to feedback, be it positive or constructive. We strive on the feedback we are given and will take every opportunity we can to become better. - The roles will require consistent involvement - Quick learner and a team player - Must be comfortable leading group AMAs for the programs - Be a pro-active guide to all our trainees so they can finish the program smoothly - Be flexible and ready to adapt to different needs that you might come around to face - Deliver a good response time to trainees. ...See more Hi everyone! I hope you are doing well. The world is forever changing and as humans, we must adapt. Every few years something new completely changes how we work or do certain tasks. As you know, AI has become more and more common for people to get help learning new topics, getting all sorts of information, and getting work done. I am glad that learning has become easier and that there is additional help available to the average internet user. @Heather225 talked about AI’s use recently, you can read that post here.  [https://www.7cups.com/forum/7cupsleadership/SafetyGuidelines_1374/HumanTouchvsAIon7CupsLearningandDevelopment_325599/] Like with most tools, we can misuse AI tools and cheat ourselves out of necessary skills or knowledge. To ensure our interns/trainees are benefitting from the program and course content, the academy ambassadors and I have discussed and come up with the following policy.  Trainees/Interns are welcome to use AI tools to help them understand the content and they are also welcome to use AI tools to support their content development. However, it is not okay to copy/paste AI content without any effort to adapt or update it to reflect their view. The following are some examples of what you can and can not do, these are just some examples. The policy is not limited to these examples. This policy applies to all academy programs and courses.  Some ways in which you may use AI: * Ask an AI model to explain a coursework topic to you * Ask AI to expand on a course/program task to aid your understanding of it * Ask AI for more information on a certain topic covered in a course/program * Ask AI for topics to write about if you are a trainee in programs like CDM or using a forum post elective * Ask AI to help you strengthen your answers to a program’s coursework * Ask AI to help you manage your time, your workload etc What you should not do * Copy/paste AI answers as a response to forum discussion posts as your own * Submit AI-generated forum posts as your own as part of coursework.  If we suspect AI use, we will confirm it using AI checking tools and you will be asked to redo the content/coursework where AI misuse is suspected.

Tainees/Interns will put up posters or give presentations on 7 Cups Academy if they wish to do offline outreach. 📢 7 Cups Official Academy Flyers and presentation are found here! Rules for offline outreach are the same as before: * A poster in a public place equals one offline outreach. You must take a picture of the poster in a way that it is clear that it's a public place.  * Only hang posters where allowed. * If you are choosing ppt then it is equal to 2 outreaches but you need to send a proof picture of your presenting the ppt. You can also send a video if you wish. Submit offline outreach proof to Yourbuddy@7cups.com  Feel free to reach out with questions if you have any!

...See more Hi everyone! I hope you have been doing well. As you know we periodically review our academy programs to make changes with the aim of better support our interns/trainees or to better educating them on the skills they wish to improve upon. Once such update is upon us. As the Internship can range from anywhere between 6 to 24 weeks, there are drastic differences in what an intern can accomplish based on the duration they chose. We notice this making a difference particularly in the student track as the duration of the program can be anywhere from 13 to 24 weeks. Additionally, we noticed that some interns struggle with the weekly hours so we have reduced those and the number of electives overall. Some of the electives have also been made easier to complete. In light of the above concerns, we are introducing the following updates to the 7 Cups Internship program: * Listening hours reduced to 3 per week for both tracks * Electives were reduced to 5 for the community and 8 for students. For student track, we add 1 elective for every two weeks after the 13 weeks. So if you apply for 15 weeks, you will have to complete 9 electives. * In community track and student track, Interns can avail up to 2 weeks of extension if they have a valid reason such as sickness, personal issues, etc. After two weeks, you can get further extension approval but it will come with 1 added elective for every two weeks extended and 3 hours of listening per week after the initial two weeks of extension. This is so people make an effort to graduate within the timeframe they had committed. Updated Major Requirements for Student Track * Training guides reduced from 20 to 10 * Listening hours reduced from 5 to 3 per week * Peer Trainings requirement changed to completing the time management course. Peer trainings added as an elective option. New Elective List for Student Track * Earned 'Tiny Chat' badge (by sending 500+ messages in listener chatrooms [https://www.7cups.com/connect/groupChatrooms.php]) * Earned 'Sparkler' badge (by sending 500+ messages in member group support chatrooms [https://www.7cups.com/connect/groupChatrooms.php]) * Earned ‘Ray of Hope’ (by sending 1000+ messages in member group chat rooms [https://www.7cups.com/connect/groupChatrooms.php]) * Earned ‘Small Chat’ (by sending 1000+ messages in in listener chatrooms [https://www.7cups.com/connect/groupChatrooms.php]) * Earned the ‘Talker Badge’ (for making 100+ forum posts, can be a reply to forum posts too) * +10 Training Guides [https://www.7cups.com/listener/training.php] (In addition to the compulsory 10) * Referred at least 20 people to 7 Cups (earned 20+ referral clicks [https://www.7cups.com/forum/7CupsInternship_167/TipsforBeingaSuccessfulIntern_1125/TipsonReferralclicksandOutreaches_144472/]) * Completed at least 2 offline outreach [https://www.7cups.com/forum/7CupsAcademy_208/AnnouncementsandUpdates_2197/7CupsAcademyOfflineOutreachProtocolUpdate_262803/]. Please note the outreach needs to be of 7 Cups Academy. You will be given the driven badge for meeting this elective. * Complete Peer Trainings 1-6 * Complete Peer Trainings 7-12 Elective 7 reduced from 40 referral clicks to 20 clicks. E 16, hours changed from an additional 2 per week to 1 per week. E8 outreach changed from 5 to 2. E19 and E20 were added. The community track requirements will remain the same with the exception of a reduction of hours from 5 to 3 per week and electives from 7 to 5. 📢Please note this system will apply to interns starting from the week of March 6, 2023. ...See more Hi everyone! I hope you are doing well. 7 Cups Academy now has been around for a couple of years! We have over 1700 program graduates and 800+ graduates from specialized courses such as time management courses. Academy has its place in our community but our reach is mostly limited to users on 7 Cups. This means there are many people who can benefit from free programs/courses offered by 7 Cups Academy if they know more about it! To ensure more people can find 7 Cups Academy with ease and that there is information on our programs outside 7 Cups, we have included a new elective and honors option in all academy programs.  * Write a testimonial post/article on Linkedin or Medium about your 7 Cups Internship experience, following the instructions detailed.  We have ensured to include it in an entirely optional way. This is only for those who wish to encourage others to participate in academy programs. It is perfectly okay if this is not an elective or honors option for you, you will still have plenty of others to choose from. You can view the elective and Honors information in your requirement list/Honors post. I look forward to reading the testimonials of our trainees/interns.  It is available to both existing interns/trainees and the ones who join us from here and onwards!
