Hi everyone! The 7 Cups Academy [https://www.7cups.com/forum/SiteUpdates_100/HsHaven_1970/StriveTowardsLeadershipProfessionalExcellencethe7CupsAcademy_232978/1/] has around five programs available to everyone at any given time. With our academy growing quickly everyday, we require a strong team of mentors to run the programs and make it a smooth sailing ship for our trainees. At the academy, we are always looking for help so if you would like to contribute to our programs, please use this post as a guide to apply to become a mentor. Please review each program and what each program requirements are to become a mentor. You may apply for one at a time, once you've passed 2 months in your role, you can apply for another program. You can only be part of two programs.
Overall requirements:
- Verified Listener Badge [https://www.7cups.com/forum/ListenerLearningJourney_149/ListenerVerificationProject_1839/NewAdditionalCriteriaToBecomeVerifiedListenerGoingLive_230276/]
- Not be a trainee in the program you are applying for. You can graduate and then apply!
- No serious behavior reports in the past 3 months
- Those in a leadership role already will be given preference!
_______________________________________________________________________________
1. Quality Listening Program
- 100+ 1-1 chats
- Been a listener for at least 3 months
- Priority will be given to QLP Graduates
2. Leadership Development Program
- Been a listener for at least 3 months
- It is preferred that you are an ATL but not needed
- Able to work on and communicate with a team

Some notes to keep in mind:
- This role is available to both teens and adults. ATLs are preferred as it makes our communication process easy.
- We bring on mentors as per our need in a specific program. So, it's possible that QLP might need a mentor but the other programs don't.
- The academy reserves the right to remove any mentor on any basis, well within reason. It can be based on inactivity, unprofessionalism, etc.
- Each role entails a month-long trial that follows the training. You will be trained initially and then put on a trial so both you and the team can create an understanding of each others' work style.
- Please be mindful of how much time you can dedicate to the programs. All of these programs require consistent weekly involvement. If you are occupied with other roles or anything else, you might not have the time for these roles.
General expectations from all the roles:
- Always be open to feedback, be it positive or constructive. We strive on the feedback we are given and will take every opportunity we can to become better.
- The roles will require consistent involvement
- Quick learner and a team player
- Must be comfortable leading group AMAs for the programs
- Be a pro-active guide to all our trainees so they can finish the program smoothly
- Be flexible and ready to adapt to different needs that you might come around to face
- Deliver a good response time to trainees. It is recommended that you reply to trainees within 2 days/48 hours.

A Month Growth, Gratitude, Warmth, Community and Celebrating 7 Cups’ 13th Birthday
July arrives with bright days, warm energy, and that gentle reminder that growth doesn’t pause just because the world slows down for summer. In the Academy, this month feels like a blend of reflection and momentum — a time when trainees keep showing up with dedication, mentors continue guiding with patience, interns bring fresh curiosity, and leaders hold the space with clarity and care.
Growth isn’t always loud — sometimes it’s the quiet consistency, the gentle reminders, the willingness to try again, or the simple act of being there when someone needs clarity or reassurance. And that matters deeply.
🎉🎂💙 July arrives with sunshine, steady growth, and something extra special this year — 7 Cups celebrates its 13th birthday. For thirteen years, this community has been a home for healing, learning, support, kindness, and connection. Thirteen years of people showing up for one another in ways that truly matter. The Academy carries that legacy forward and reflects that same spirit every day through trainees, mentors, interns, and leaders who bring patience, encouragement, and heart to their roles. July here at 7 Cups is our chance to celebrate and honor the people who helped others feel grounded, supported, and confident during their journey and those who made a difference. 🎉🎂💙
I hope July brings you confidence in your abilities, warmth in your connections, and the courage to keep moving forward at your own pace. I’m grateful for the teamwork, compassion, and dedication that continue to shape this community.

A Month of Steady Growth, Fresh Starts, Warm Connections, and Community Strength
August arrives with soft sunsets, renewed motivation, and that gentle nudge reminding us that growth continues even as summer begins to wind down. August feels like a soft reset with warm days, calmer evenings, and a chance to breathe before the busy seasons return. In the Academy, this month shines with steady progress, thoughtful questions, and the kind of teamwork that makes learning feel safe and doable. Trainees show courage in every step, mentors offer patient guidance, and leaders help the whole space feel grounded.
Growth doesn’t always look big or loud. Sometimes it’s the quiet check‑ins, the willingness to ask a question, the bravery to try again, or the simple act of showing up even on the days when confidence feels small. Every one of those moments matters.
As we step into August, we celebrate the people who make the Academy feel safe, supportive, and full of heart. The ones who guide, encourage, uplift, and help others feel capable and grounded. Thank you for the heart you bring to this place, your presence truly continues to matter here, further helping shape this community every single day and helps others feel capable, welcome, and never alone in their journey.

Hi everyone! I hope you are well. I have some exciting news to share!
@Ivy229 is stepping into the role of Academy Mentor Leader (Mentor Activity Tracking Initiative).
Many of you may already know Ivy as a mentor in the Internship or the Quality Listening Program. Over time, she has shown strong consistency, reliability, and a clear willingness to take initiative. From supporting trainees to regularly putting together the Academy Awards posts each month, her work has been steady and impactful.
In this new role, Ivy will be leading the Mentor Activity Tracking Initiative [https://www.7cups.com/forum/academy/AcademyTeam_2313/IntroducingAcademyMentorActivityTrackingForm_375191/]. This is a central system designed to improve visibility and coordination across the mentor team. It helps track mentor activity, highlight availability, flag concerns when needed, and keep the mentor availability posts accurate and up to date. The goal is simple: make it easier for trainees to know who they can reach out to, while also giving the team better insight into overall mentor engagement.
This role plays an important part in strengthening transparency and reducing the load on team leads, while supporting both trainees and the broader leadership team.
Grateful to Ivy for stepping into this role and taking ownership of this initiative. Looking forward to seeing how it grows under her leadership.

A Month Of Advocacy, Awareness, Caring For Our Minds, Inner Strength, And Lifting Each Other Up
May brings longer days, warmer light, and that sense that everything — including us — is stretching forward. It’s a month of steady progress and noticing how far we’ve come. The Academy thrives because of everyone who shows up with curiosity, patience, and heart: trainees who keep learning, mentors who guide with care, interns who bring fresh ideas, and leaders who hold the space with clarity.
💚 Since May is Mental Health Awareness Month, it’s a meaningful time to recognize how much emotional support and teamwork matter here. Every kind message, thoughtful question, and moment of patience helps someone feel safe and less alone. 💚
This month, we celebrate those who helped others feel seen, supported, and encouraged in their academy journey. Each of you adds something valuable to this community. Growth isn’t always dramatic — often it’s the quiet consistency, the gentle check‑ins, and the willingness to try again. And that truly matters.
I hope May brings you confidence in your progress, warmth in your connections, and the courage to keep moving forward in your academy journey. I’m grateful for the dedication, teamwork, and compassion that continue to shape this space.
And with that, I’m thrilled to announce this month’s nominations.

⦁ What can I say about them ? What a sincere mentor they are !! I have had them help me through three whole programs - the Internship, QLP and LDP. Everytime they are the one to be a reliable support for me. I ask so many doubts but they are always quick to respond with clear answers. They are the reason I was able to clear these many programs. They never delay for more than a day. If I leave a doubt one morning, I have full confidence there is a response by evening. They are composed and their nature comes off as a calm and grounded. They stay on what needs to be done instead of deviating and they are never a source of confusion for me. I love their work style of short and clear responses that are quick, and to the point. Even though my interaction with them has been fully to the point, I still feel very highly about them. They deserve this award for doing the reliable work behind the scenes to bring others up. If anyone is confused, scared, does not know what to do - please get this person as a mentor !
Ivy229
⦁ I nominate Ivy because they always stays calm with my questions, explains things clearly even when I’m confused, and helps me stay focused and keep going. Their support makes everything feel easier, and they truly deserve this award.
TovaCares76
⦁ They approached themselves to me, helping me so well with issue I am having in LDP. Have patience, answered me no matter how frequently came up with questions.

A Month of Renewal, Courage, and Fresh Starts
April arrives with soft rain, new colors, and that gentle feeling that everything is waking up again, including us. This month is all about trying again, growing at your own pace, and letting small steps count just as much as big ones. Our Academy keeps blooming because of every person who shows up with honesty, effort, and heart—trainees who keep learning even when it’s hard, mentors who guide with patience, interns who bring new ideas, and leaders who hold the whole space steady. You each bring something bright and needed, like the first flowers after winter, reminding us that growth doesn’t have to be loud to be real.
Every question you ask, every moment you support someone, every time you keep going even when you feel unsure—it all builds a community where people can learn, try, and help the whole space feel grounded and safe to be themselves.
Every act of support, every moment of patience, every bit of kindness adds to the feeling that this is a place where people can learn, grow, and feel seen. I hope April gives you room to breathe, a sense of calm strength, a little spark of hope, the courage to believe in the progress you’re making to keep moving forward in your academy journey.
I’m excited to celebrate the dedication, heart, and teamwork that continue to shape this community.
And with that, I’m thrilled to announce this month’s nominations.

Very professional, resourceful, kind, friendly and you can truly see how passionate they are about 7 Cups and the community.

When I asked her about a course, she let me know that it was no longer offered but encouraged and explained other courses and things I can pursue after my internship I didn't know about some of them so it quite helpful.
