With our academy growing quickly everyday, we require a strong team of mentors to run the programs and make it a smooth sailing ship for our trainees. At the academy, we are always looking for help so if you would like to contribute to our programs, please use this post as a guide to apply to become a mentor. Please review each program and what each program requirements are to become a mentor. You may apply for one at a time, once you've passed 2 months in your role, you can apply for another program. You can only be part of two programs. Overall requirements: - Verified Listener Badge [https://www.7cups.com/forum/ListenerLearningJourney_149/ListenerVerificationProject_1839/NewAdditionalCriteriaToBecomeVerifiedListenerGoingLive_230276/] - Not be a trainee in the program you are applying for. You can graduate and then apply! - No serious behavior reports in the past 3 months - Those in a leadership role already will be given preference! _______________________________________________________________________________ 1. Quality Listening Program - 100+ 1-1 chats - Been a listener for at least 3 months - Priority will be given to QLP Graduates 2. Leadership Development Program - Been a listener for at least 3 months - It is preferred that you are an ATL but not needed - Able to work on and communicate with a team - Able to commit at least 1 hour a week - Priority will be given to LDP Graduates 3. Internship Program - 3+ months as a listener - 150+ chats with member/guests - Sparkler and Tiny Chat badges (obtained by completing 20 member and 20 listener group chats) - Should be able to maintain a response time of within 3 days unless on informed break. - Should be able to give the track at least 2 months after acceptance before taking any major breaks. - Priority will be given to Internship Program Graduates 4. Content Development and Marketing Program - Questions in the application form - 3+ months as a listener - Priority will be given to CDM Program Graduates Some notes to keep in mind: - This role is available to both teens and adults. ATLs are preferred as it makes our communication process easy. - We bring on mentors as per our need in a specific program. So, it's possible that QLP might need a mentor but the other programs don't. - The academy reserves the right to remove any mentor on any basis, well within reason. It can be based on inactivity, unprofessionalism, etc. - Each role entails a month-long trial that follows the training. You will be trained initially and then put on a trial so both you and the team can create an understanding of each others' work style. - Please be mindful of how much time you can dedicate to the programs. All of these programs require consistent weekly involvement. If you are occupied with other roles or anything else, you might not have the time for these roles. General expectations from all the roles: - Always be open to feedback, be it positive or constructive. We strive on the feedback we are given and will take every opportunity we can to become better. - The roles will require consistent involvement - Quick learner and a team player - Must be comfortable leading group AMAs for the programs - Be a pro-active guide to all our trainees so they can finish the program smoothly - Be flexible and ready to adapt to different needs that you might come around to face - Deliver a good response time to trainees. Just recently we launched a group dynamics course part of which is to host 1 session in the 7 Cups Academy room, this means more people will be using the room now. Before this, the room was used mainly to host AMAs.  Who can book the room? * Academy mentors or project agents wishing to host an AMA or academy related session * Users doing the group support course * Anyone else in the academy leadership team who wishes to host an academy related session and has informed their leadership oversight.  To ensure none of the sessions clash with each other. Please book the room by simply commenting on this post, in the rare case of a time clash, the person who booked the room first will be the one allowed to host in the room at that time slot.  You do not need to wait for approval. Just comment and host You must plan on hosting the session on the day and time booked. Do not book if you are not sure yet.  Comment on this post with the following information * Day of the session * Time in ET (Mention duration of session too) * Topic you will host You can book as in advance as desired or as close to the session time as you like. Everyone who wishes to use 7 Cups Academy room should first check here to ensure their session is not clashing with an existing booking.

Academy Weekly Check-ins Now Available! (No longer available)

...See more Hi everyone! I hope you are doing well. The academy team has been working on arranging academy group check-ins that anyone associated with the academy can attend or host. This involves academy trainees, graduates, and mentors. For the past 10 days (approx) we have been trialing academy check-ins to get feedback on times, days, and script and we have found that the combination of the following times can be suited to our academy people! Starting today, you can expect weekly academy check-ins at the following times! ‘Username covering’ means both slots are open, and the sessions are being temporarily covered by an academy leader until coverage is found. If you can help out with covering these sessions, please submit this form. [https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfU4iz6_9MuecEIEhGraiVkOk_GoBMvc1RutRgeoZNrciLQKA/viewform]We are looking for hosts who can cover these sessions on the same day every week so consistency is important. As we get more hosts, we will add more sessions. A session will be added to this long-term session time/day schedule once we are confident we can maintain it consistently. So you can count on these sessions being there! These sessions are meant to serve as a support system for academy trainees, a place where graduates can come and support current trainees and mentors can have 1-1 contact with trainees. We understand that attending such sessions can take away time from your schedule so we want to give you program credit for doing so! The sessions are hosted in the academy hub room. The Academy team is working on adding 4 of these sessions as an elective to academy programs. You can either attend 4 or host 4 to be eligible. The count will include attending 1 orientation session in case you also attended that. You can expect to see the elective update being implemented within the next 3 weeks. Participation and hosting of the sessions before the official announcement will be considered for the elective. But I do not recommend relying on this elective as updates can take time to be launched but I just wanted to mention it for those who have a lot of program duration left. ...See more Hi everyone! I hope you are doing well. We had a lot of success with our previous month’s leadership meeting for 7 Cups Academy Leaders. We all decided that we would like to have the meeting again next month. Last month I sent out a poll but it was not very effective in helping us select a time so this month I am just choosing the time based on what worked for us in the last month. If we feel like we should bring back the poll, we can do so next month! Just send me a message. This month our leadership meeting will be as follows: * Tuesday, October 25, 2022, from 11:00 AM ET - 12:00 PM ET in the Adult Academy Hub Room. At the moment we don’t have enough teen leaders for a teen meeting. I will roll out a google form to get feedback from teen leaders. I hope that this meeting time is reasonable enough for people in timezones similar to mine and still not too early for those who live closer to ET time. If you are a leader in trial like an academy mentor in trial, you can attend the meeting! If you do not have access to academy hub room, please message me asap to get access. These will last one hour each and will be an opportunity to discuss academy coursework, and challenges and get your questions answered. These will be hosted by academy graduates, trainees, mentors, etc We need your help to decide what days/time works for you. Before you vote, keep in mind that we will add attending an X number (number yet to be determined) of these sessions as an elective choice to academy programs so you can get academy credit for participating in them so it is important you vote on the times that work for you in case you wish to use this elective. Academy Orientation Sessions - Hosts Needed

...See more Hi everyone! I hope you are doing well. As you know we recently launched academy orientation sessions. This will be a repeating session hosted on Tuesdays (the day is fitting as it is right after the new batch is onboarded which is on Monday). We need hosts to keep the session running. We are looking for hosts to lead the session on Tuesdays at the following times. As a host you do not have to lead every week, you can host once, every other week, whatever works best for you. Any academy graduate (members included), academy mentor, academy mentor leader or even academy ambassador is welcome to host these sessions. As long as you can commit to the time you chose. That is really important! The following times are available to be hosted, each slot needs two hosts. This is really important because we need a backup in case someone has to drop out at the last minute and also in case one host is unable to answer some of the questions asked. Two minds are better than one. * 10 AM ET - 11 AM ET Teens * 12 PM - 1 PM ET Adults * 5 PM ET - 6 PM ET Teens * 6 PM ET - 7 PM ET Adults You will get 100 cheers for hosting each session. The session time has been changed from 10 AM - 11 AM ET to 1 PM - 2 PM ET. The session will remain on Tuesdays. The time has been changed so that more trainees are able to attend the session and more hosts can be available to lead the session. Moreover, the 5 PM ET - 6 PM ET has been removed as it did not get enough participants.
